Let me rephrase what i'm asking. I am running roundtop SU's on my car. For some reason the front one is sucking in air and the rear one isnt. This is causing my car to run very bad and undriveable. All i would like to know from anyone here is a suggestion as to what might be going on. At first i thought it was the ignition system so i JUST put in the electronic dizzy and it allowed me to drive down the street and back with the same but less hesitational like problem. I parked kept the car running and its still not pulling any air in. I don't know what else it could be. I was messing around with it just now and if i put the choke on then it pulls air in, but it shouldnt need the choke on to pull in air, the front is doing it with the choke closed. If you have a suggestion please let me know -Carfan

My car is a 73 240z it has msa 3-2 headers and full 2.5in exhaust. There where flat top su's on it but i took them off for a set of round top su's. The first set i put on had the car running fine but went out of adjustment so i thought. So i spent a whole day trying to get them set right only to find out something was wrong with the rear carb, it wasn't pulling air in. So today i swapped those out for a set of z therapy round tops and i didn't mess with the settings and the rear carb is still not pulling air. If anyone can help out I'd really appreciate it. I need my car running its the only one i have until October. -Carfan

The tach i have i have now is just a little over sized for the s13 cluster area but with a little trimming i can get it to fit right in there, then i would have to make a panel to mount it to. im finishing up the trimming today so it will sit right then at 2 my friend is coming over so we can think of how were going to mount it to get it solid. (He is also swapping dashes but he is using a z32 or z31 dash not sure though).

Update: I couldn't wait till tomorrow to start so i just did as much as i felt like before it got dark. I pull the stock dash out and i just sit it aside the s13 dash for now. I tried putting the 240z speedo and tach into the s13 cluster area but it was a no go. So looks like i will be getting a new speedo and tach from autometer. I also mocked up the 3 guage cluster i plan on putting in the front center vent. Pics:

Today i went in to the pick n pull just browsing and came across a clean s13 dash. So i pulled it and got everything in the pics(below) for 37$ and i didn't get the center console because i didn't bring enough money but i put it up so i can go back and get it. I say it was a good deal even though it was blue. I haven't started anything yet but tomorrow I'm pulling the stock dash out and begin trimming the s13 dash. My plan is to use the stock gauges on a custom alloy plate cluster i will make so i don't have to mess with anything, i might not use the 3 center gauges because i think i have a set of autometer gauges that will measure water temp,volt,and fuel. Those will be mounted on a alloy plate in the center where the vent is. Let me know what you think yay or nay. I have a autometer tach but no speedo, even if i had both i wouldn't use them because i like the original speedo and tach. Pics: (Its a darker blue i promise)

Yeah i went to see it friday night when it first came out 11:55pm. I'd say the ending is what made it for me too. The start was okay but, to much story and no action. Next on my list is "The Happening".

just yesterday around 6pm i was parking at a friends house and a older lady comes by me in a burnt orange 350z. stops in the middle of the street and starts asking me all types of questions. since i moved from stockton to oakland for these few weeks i am getting a lot of attention from all types of people.

I get asked questions at gas stations and at the pick n pull. No red lights.

So i havnt posted in a while since i have been enjoying driving the Z. But since i have had it running i ran into a few little problems. First to start was a overheating that got me stuck in modesto for a few hours blew the thermostat housing gasket apart. 2nd a bad altenator left me stranded down the street from my house at a friends house. 3rd another overheating but not as bad as the first just a few dribbles from the cap. 4th was a a problem at the dmv when getting my car verified. long story short the lady caused me to wait on my tags when she could have gave me new plates and tags on the spot. After all this i got the chance to make the trip from oakland to stockton "3" times with no problems "at all". I am very happy that the Z is running and not breaking down as to keep it off the road for a while. On to the good i just got me a 5spd from a 79 280zx, i know these are not the best to get but its the only one i can find.(if anyone wants to trade for a 81-83 where 5 and Reverse share different forks let me know asap). I also have a set of autometer water temp, oil pressure. My temp gauge only works when it wants to so im getting a new temp sending unit and using the new gauge. Thats about it for now. Oh last thing i met a Z guy at pick n pull during the 1/2 off sale he is a member here and has multiple Z's. Him reading this might make him post idk. Well im out. Further explanations or ideas for a problem i have let me know.

The first turn on the headlight switch are the running lights, the second turn on the switch is the headlights + running lights. When the turn signal switch is pulled in there should be a blue light that comes on in the dash where the speedometer is. When its clicked again it should be the low beam. I don't think this car had "two" high beam headlights. Some one correct me if i'm wrong.

Well the price at pnp was $15 with the tranny mount, but they rung it as just a tranny mount and that was 8$ but it was 1/2 off day so i paid some where around $4.50 something.

This is happening to me to my tach goes all the way to 8k and stays on start up. But only when hot. My speedo bounces within 5mph of each number but its accurate enough to tell how fast i'm going.(im goin to give my battery post and cable ends a good cleaning) As for cooling i flushed my cooling system twice with fresh water then added antifreeze and redline brand wetter water. I have no problems with heat so far.

If this movie makes Z's more popular and everyone starts buying them up i would like people to know that i am of the pre-bandwagoner era. And to add, I guess if people start getting more z's companies will start doing better and with the extra $$ they can go into some R&D for new stuff.

They should really use that GRID guys redesign of the s30.

In your printer properties or preferences or options when you are going to print there should be somewhere that says "fit page to paper" or "shrink to fit page". You have to click or check that.
