  1. Wow, Im glad members are ready to sell someone a head assuming they have a bent rod....
  2. Im right outside Helena MT right now. Sitting next to a gorgeous stream... it is beautiful. Ill be in fort collins. I think that close to littleton isnt it?
  3. Well I leave in the morning for Wyoming. Ill be right outside of Dubois up in the middle of nowhere at 10000 ft... Well be living off 24 inch fish and exploring the great outdoors. haha Anyone thats looking at parts I have listed for sale, please send me a PM and Ill get back to you as soon as I get back. Dont you go buying parts from somewhere else. Once I get back from wyoming Im going to colorado for my sisters wedding so I wont be able to pull/ship parts till the 1st of August. Everyone have fun working on their datsuns.
  4. Doesnt it have two inlets? Youll need to T off the line coming from the rail or plug one of the feeds.
  5. Same as what borini posted. The 3 gauges are connected into a plastic housing and the dash gauges are all built into a single large housing with plugs on the back. I have the 2 housings themselves, just plug and play. I might be able to get pics tonight.
  6. Ive the gauge cluster and 3 gauge pod out of an 81 turbo. Out of the car ready to ship. You can have them both for $45 shipped.
  7. Talked to the seller and offered him $125. This is for the LC1 wideband kit with gauge, software, etc. The whole deal sells for $330+.
  8. NY to Oz would be cheaper on shipping probably. Go ahead and get it from negligence.
  9. I have one. I just cut off one of the supports that bolts to the intake. Id ship it to you for just the cost of shipping. Ill make sure everything else is intact when I get home in 6 hours.
  10. Alright. I dont mind messing with it to get it to fit right. The engine is mostly back together, need to finish putting on the intake and exhaust manifolds as well as the oil feed to the turbo. Hopefully Ill get the engine in the car tomorrow or thursday... That would make me feel great about the swap. haha Im gonna stop by the JY to see if I can find any of the smaller items that id need. Then Id just need to price out the big stuff to see how much Id be spending. I found an LC1 kit on craigslist for $150 which seems like a good deal, I emailed him for some more info well see when he responds.
  11. I pulled mine off and was constantly wanting to just cut the stupid pastic holder apart... be patient. haha
  12. Id think the first one is easier. You can just pull each plug off of the injector and then crank the car to see if its getting a signal. Pulling the whole fuel rail would be like two large bolts plus all the bolts holding on the individual injectors. 2nd option could also result in you possibly finding broken pintle (I think thats what theyre called) caps or cracked injector spacer/isolators.
  13. Multimeter to each of the injector plugs? Other option is to pull the rail and see that they are visually spraying.
  14. Get a set of flat blade screwdrivers and pry each of them out. Thats how I did it. You really just have to look at the plugs and see how there being held in. It did take some elbow grease.
  15. Were there issues with the 240sx TPS because it was on a smaller throttle body? I actually thought the stock harness may be alittle bit easier.. Ive got a wire by wire write up to go by and everything worked on my car before so I feel it should be fairly plug and play... hopefully... haha
  16. Go to someones profile, click "find content" button and then it will show all the threads theyve started or posted in. IF you then look at the top right there is a selector where it asks if you want to see both topics made or posts made, next option is just to see topics theyve made and then last option is to see only the posts. Just figured it out.

  18. Alright, well the engine is out of the 81 turbo and is on an engine stand being cleaned up. Ill hopefully get the oil pan, motor mount brackets and valve cover sandblasted and repainted tomorrow. My goal is to get the engine mounted in the car this week... Also, I decided to take the plung on megasquirt. I will be following twoeightythreez's guide for installing megasquirt using the stock harness. http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php?showtopic=48292 I have tried to contact the poster to get more info on all the parts needed, rather what he used but he hasnt got back to me yet. Anyways heres the list Ive come up with... MSII- Trying to decide If ill get it assembled or not. Either way Ill either need to tell them or do it myself to have it set up to run the coil directly. http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/bosch-bip373-coil-driver-mod-kit-p-230.html Ill have to see if when you order it there able to install this for you, assuming I buy the assembled one. Wiring harness: http://www.diyautotu...ready-p-43.html But get the short version in order to have the plug because Ill be using the stock wiring harness. 82 Distributor- Since MS will be directly controlling the coil will this work? Turbo or NA? IAT sensor- Any GM sensor 240sx TPS coolant temp sensor- Any GM sensor wideband- LC1 sensor? Now I will only need the sensor itself since I will be able to read out my AFR on the laptop? Thanks for the help guys. Ive been doing alot of reading.. alot of info to absorb. Thanks! tuning cable http://www.diyautotu...-thru-p-35.html
  19. Ill keep voting. Seems like a pretty cool idea.
  20. I guess I trashed his other usernames enough that he changed it to Zstuff70-89. haha
  21. Control arm? The easiest way to do it is burn out the rubber and then using a hack saw youll need to cut out the old metal sleeve still stuck in there. New urethane bushings will be to wide to fit in there without removing the old sleeve.
  22. Thanks for the info everyone. Basically what Ive come to conclude is that whatever I plan on doing electronics wise I need to do it now to try and get it done this summer. I cant waste time driving the ZX around and modifying stuff that will be trashed once it goes into my 78. Ive began to pull the turbo engine in preparation to clean it up and bolt it into the Z. As for electronics, obviously MS is the way to do it right and I really dont want to do something like this twice. From preliminary research it wont be a big problem money wise but I really want to price everything out and know exactly what all is required and involved.
