  1. No, dorks use reverse polak calculators - Greg -
  2. If you know you never want to remove them, you can always use Loctite Green and those suckers will be there permanently. Or there's always JB Weld! - Greg -
  3. I dont recall mine having notches, but there's no telling if they were original. I cut my own without notches. Not really sure why you'd want them. - Greg -
  4. From what was left of it, my stock setup was 2 crappy speakers, maybe 5" dia, one in each of the rear quarters. The brackets are integrated and they mount inside the rear quarters along the floor. I suggest ripping it all out and installing a decent 4x6.5" speaker system with a small sub (single sealed 8" or 10"). That's what I'll do once the "stereo phase" is reached. If you must go "stock", you'll be stuck with two speakers and I think you'll have to fabricate your own brackets. - Greg -
  5. I was kind of bummed that the "article" was only a 2 page spread of mainly photos and fairly little real info. Next month's issue is supposed to have a test drive of the US spec GTR. THAT'S the issue to get Sadly you typically can't trust numbers until the cars are actually sold and some enthusiasts get them on their own dynos and tracks. Let's hope they build as strong a reputation as the new Z06. - Greg -
  6. Absolutely. There are no bubble flares on an S30. It's very easy to tell just by looking at the female side (e.g. caliper, mc). If there's a "hump" in the middle of the mating surface, it's not a bubble flare. - Greg -
  7. What kind of cars are they? If it's drive-by-wire I can certainly believe that everything would feel sluggish. - Greg -
  8. No sealant. I just cut my own from a gasket paper kit (cork and rubber, depending on location). - Greg -
  9. The only way youre going to get vented rotors in an S30 is to replace the front calipers. Check out the Toyota 4x4 caliper swap if youre looking for something relatively inexpensive. - Greg -
  10. Damn dude that is one fantastic paint selection. Cant wait to see it on wheels - Greg -
  11. Anybody that has a car part named after them deserves to be an admin. Congrats, Ron! - Greg -
  12. Yeah I thought of one of those after I posted: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=91201 - Greg -
  13. I find that by the time Im reaching for my tap and die set Im pretty much screwed so that one is pretty much invaluable! It has saved my ass a few times. - Greg -
  14. Forgive a possibly noobish question, but what do you use to punch those holes? A hole saw? Seems they are recessed a little on one side. Dragonfly, your side vents look great! - Greg -
  15. Thats all you need to win your CC dispute. Hopefully you paid with VISA or even better AMEX. - Greg -
  16. pavcon, is there a particular reason why youre even a member on HybridZ?? Lewis - don't sell it. Just sit on it until you get interested again (and you WILL get interested again). - Greg -
  17. The sad part is, I know first hand that even if you win in small claims court theres a good chance youll never see your money. By then you'll be out a bunch of filing fees and a whole bunch of time and stress. I'd try calling the owner and settle for no less than a refund. If he refuses then dispute with the CC. Go through small claims as a last resort. - Greg -
  18. If I was eating, the second post in the thread would have made me spew it all over my monitor. That was fantastic! There is actually a surprising number of people out there that think turbos recycle exhaust fumes -- sad but true. - Greg -
  19. Tony, youre a tape snob! Im sure 3M has some higher end stuff for high heat applications. I agree the Super 33+ turns brittle but I never had it unravel on me after "hardening". That's a lot better than any other electrical tape I have used that just seems to fall apart. - Greg -
  20. Line-X is good stuff. I had my rock sliders on my Frontier coated with it. Seems to be a lot more durable than the stock spray in bedliner coating. - Greg -
  21. If I understand you correctly, you want the STOCK lower valence? If so, PM me with an offer (mine is in great rust-free condition). Im looking to replace mine with an aftermarket one. - Greg -
  22. I have always used 3M Super 33+ on wiring harnesses and it is fantastic. 3M also makes a really thick rubbery industrial electrical tape that seals watertight -- can't remember the name though. - Greg -
  23. I hear the shed door squeakin... Try a search (e.g. "interior", "dash", etc.) - there are a couple of excellent threads chock full of pictures. - Greg -
