  1. Thought I would update this old thread with some newer stuff, first, something I sketched real quick a few nights ago - And a more recent pixel Z, with a number of improvements in accuracy - If anyone has anything they've done, I'd love to see it
  2. Interesting swap, though I'm not sure its what I would do if I owned a 70-74 'Cuda. Much easier to stomach than the 67 or so Cuda that was on a Honda FWD unibody...blehh.
  3. I bought two whole 280ZX parts cars for 400 bucks, one an 83 turbo, the other an 81 na 5-speed. They are still around for cheap, just might take a little time to find them.
  4. Just about anything Series 1 specific
  5. I agree, one of the best looking '31s I've seen. I think its more a problem of interest. I for one would love to see the results from testing this plenum, as my father has an '86 NA2T. Have you posted this inquiry on Z31performance.com or 88hybrid.com? If not, I would, as they are Z31 specific forums.
  6. Those early hubcaps can bring quite a penny. You should see what the D caps go for.
  7. Whoever hates you has terrible spray painting technique, haha. Glad you were able to get it off, I was going to suggest a little rubbing compound till I saw it was already off.
  8. Flipping that car at the gate....that was...impressive.
  9. How about Modern Motorsport's coilovers? Pretty well priced.
  10. Sunfire? Those are pretty bad for headgaskets, due to a poor water jacket design on one end of the head. I would do a compression check.
  11. I'll say that that looks badass, but my upbringing would NEVER let me own one. I would develop a sense of self-hate for driving a Hyundai.
  12. I recall reading those results when they were first put up, and seem to remember that something was amiss with the numbers. My guess would be that the higher numbers actually had a lower drag.
  13. Yes, that is Austin's car, thinking from that mag shoot when it still had an L28ET.
  14. Wonder if you can bleed your head, to get the air out? Just playin, if I had your car, I would feel like my life was complete.
  15. If your car was a factory manual, it should have an R200, and good luck with the project, I was going to suggest lookng for Drift240z's posts aswell, should be some good info in them.
  16. The NA trannies can take quite a bit more horsepower than a stock turbo. I think Big-Phil pretty well explored their limit.
  17. Your going to be way better off converting to rear sump, its not that hard or expensive. It doesnt really sound like you know a whole lot about what you want to do. Thats all I'm gonna say.
  18. There are rear sump 351s, such as in the old LTD wagons. I would go with a 750cfm on a stout Windsor. Also, no, surge tank not needed.
  19. I recall seeing pictures of two US spec manifolds side by side that were different. Been a long time ago, but it seems like 240hoke posted the picture. Dont hold me to it, though. Edit: I believe the difference was one had the turbo flange more towards the middle of the manifold than the other.
  20. More load, the fith gear test is pretty common when test driving a used car.
  21. There was a thread not too long ago with pictures denoting the differences.
  22. Exactly, improper overlapping. May come out with wetsanding and buff.
  23. Generally, wider rear tracks tend to understeer, I believe. Course, you got the torque to fix that, huh?
  24. Yes, its possible the frame shop can straighten what you have now, I'd look into it.
  25. That is the most ridiculous thing I've heard in awhile.
