  1. Use my Picturetrail links at the bottom of my posts. type in the user name V8zracer260z in the white box on the left. Then look in corvette pics. Rick
  2. Looks great guys! It's coming along. Keep us posted on the pics. I'll be interested in posting on your forum keep in touch. I'm going to update my picturetrail link tonite under "Current vette suspension" Rick
  3. I'll check your site again on the new pics. I have some also of the floor mock ups. I ordered all of my aluminum & steel to do the floors, firewall & tranny tunnel today. I should have some progress this weekend. Rick
  4. Good to see you guy's back in action. The frame looks great! I like the new website format also. You can check out my album pics as I am doing the same set up with my Z. I'm starting to do the floors & firewall on my Z. Alot of welding & riviting to come, but the sesult is going to be well worth all the effort. You may want to do a diag brace at the front of you kick out like I did on mine. It will stiffen up that area alot with out interfering with the tires. Look closely behind the tire and you'll see what I am talking about. Don't worry these rims & tire are just to roll it around. I am ordering a set of CC wheels. 17x10's front & 17x12's in the back.
  5. We used a JD2 on my cage and it works great! The manual is fine if you are just doing a cage or two. If you are planning to do more than that upgrade to the hyd system. The tubing bender is real straight forward and easy to switch dyes. They even sell software to tell you where to start your bends. If anyone is near Gainesville, Florida we can help you out with bending some hoops. Rick
  6. I'm in the body shop business and you need to get a couple appraisers to put a $ amount on your Z. Make sure you have all reciepts for any thing you have done, Let the appraiser know of any difficult mods that requre extensive labor. These are nich cars and not everyone shares our love for them. I went thru this about 10 years ago when my 76 was totaled by an idiot in a Saturn. At that time I believe mine was valued over 6,000.00 just for the car. Also when this is all said and done Retain the salvage. In other word keep your car. They will not charge you much for this, generally under $500.00. You will be able to remove alot of your upgrades & bolt on's to transfer to the next Z. Second get another opinion from a different attorney. Third make sure you do not sign anything till you get this sorted out. Rick
  7. Congrats!! My wife and I are going on 5 years this May and loving every day of it!! It does cut in to the car budget a bit, but the perks are definately worth it Hope you two have many happy years together.
  8. The 1st time is always good. I remember picking mine up in Titusville and driving back home. It was a drag only car so I had to hard wire the lights and had my friend follow me. Well he tried to keep up anyway. It was cold and the car had no heater but you know I did not even care. There was a 327 under the hood and power to spare. It was alot of fun shifting the ratchet shifter with the race trans. The was absolutely no way to shift into second without some tire smoking drama. Life was good that night. Congrats on the first time and to many more!! Please fix the drive shaft though as you will soon find out a healthy SBC will find any weak spots in the driveline.
  9. First welcome to the board! Second you will find allmost all your answers on the search feature above. Most swaps will average around $3-5k if your Z is in good shape. If you have to buy a Z or restore one it can go up from there. My sugestion would be to perform the swap with a normally aspirated V8, Drive it for a while and get used to the power to weight ratio our cars have, then add the boost. Good luck and have fun!!
  10. Daddy Like!! I think it's cool guys. All engine and a little car thown it for looks. Rick
  11. This is a more streetable version in my car. That is if you consider a full 2x3 frame streetable. By side bars start at the back brace & go down to the front. His side bars are a bit too high for everyday use. Rick
