  1. I am saddend that this happens! Im even MORE saddened that it takes this long to get closure and settlement..... Part 1... http://bimmer.roadfly.org/bmw/forums/e21/forum.php?postid=3378984&page=1 Part 1 continued.... http://bimmer.roadfly.org/bmw/forums/e21/forum.php?postid=3379064&page=1 I usually dont read long long posts like that, but i started reading and i couldnt stop. Crazy crap.
  2. So if i see a nice car, i should not take a picture of it and show it to the people i want to share with? The parking structure belongs to a BANK, and im 100% sure its gone by now so dont worry.
  3. I came home this evening and pulled into the parking structure, and WOW! This is the most beautiful Thunderbird i have ever seen!
  4. Moby, thats exactly what im going for. Its gotta be all around better performance, Even if they perform the same at high rpm's, the sequential still knocks batch out of the water. Also, have you guys ever heard of a guy just wanting to be different? 8) Here are 2 pics of my TWM.
  5. Thats why i posted it. I figured it would be funny for all of you to sit there waiting for something to pop up and scare you, waiting, ...waiting....hehe. First time it was over 2 minutes for me
  6. Thats what i was thinking, but nobody cared to comment on it so i guess its just a tried and true method. Oh well.
  7. I kinda thought this was funny. http://www.kaaos.org/weirdpic/
  8. Those seats speak business. They are the kind of seats you use in a car thats going to make you say "HOLY $#&$*@#^*(YIHGIC#HIU#YUC#". Shockley vs the buyer of this?
  9. Are you sure its hitting the rear sway bar and not the exhaust? When i welded a simple bracket up on my muffler to keep it from swinging around, that was enough to get a LOT of clunking on engine braking. I cut the bracket, and i never got the clunking again.
  10. I know a guy in Glendale who has wired one into a stock zx n/a, if you would like me to email him?
  11. Bernardd, i did thank you for your reply in the other thread. I am going for a more efficiant engine system without going aftermarket. Im learning about mid 90's Maximas, M30's, and Z32 systems and researching all before i get started on the hands on part. I may be picking up a complete M30 system this mid-week, so i am going to go over it and see what i can learn by it being out of a vehicle. Also, i have a buddy that is the manager of parts dept at a local nissan dealer that works their fair share of performance cars, and believe it or not, they are also a large aftermarket supplier for Nismo and many other popular companies. He is going to send me over the complete mechanic wiring diagrams and diagnosis information for the Maxima, m30, and z32, sometime this week. Im also going to go over those thoroughly and learn how they work. Im on a few other leads as well. Ill keep everybody who is interested in my project posted on my research, failures, and success.
  12. There WAS a z31 system here http://hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=22085&highlight=z31
  13. In my IROC, getting those 2 top bolts (9/14's ?) hooked up to bolt the tranny and engine together was a complete job in itself. I ended up having to use some very long extensions and a glob of grease in the sockets to hold the bolt in place. Eventually about 2 hours later i had the top ones screwed in, and in place. I would imagine it would be harder in the tight spots of a Z?
  14. There are many cheap options you can go with, like somebodys old Z31 converted L28et system. You dont need to worry about spark or any of that until you get the engine managment system in there. The rods and pistons probably dont have to be replaced. You do not have to worry if the engine is running or if it has spark if you are changing the management system or rebuilding the engine.
  15. You know that you can run 12's on a stock engine in your early Z. There are plenty guys selling Z31 setups already converted for L28et's, and Alex is helping you with a turbo, so whats the hold up?
  16. Dont you already have a setup on the way to you? I thought you were changing the managment system and turbo, so none of what is wrong would matter anyway, right? Just get what you have coming, rebuild it, and work from there.
  17. Ive just got off the telephone with an gentleman who has run a Z32 harness and they also were looking into the m30 system, and it for sure can be run with a JWT ecu. Sequential is what the top guys want, not batch.
  18. thank you man, thank you thank you thank you!
  19. This is the perfect thread for me. I used to work at a Hydraulic and Pneumatic supply company and i would prep steel braided hoses with aeroquip fittings for local racers. We used a steel braided hose cutter that was similar to a pair of bolt cutters. They cut every strand of steel neatly, and indents the ends of the hose, making fittings slide on PERFECTLY every single time. They look like this And do this.... I know the tool may be expensive, $50+, but i also know for a fact steel braided hose is not cheap. Hope this helps.
  20. A stripped z only weighs a few hundred (500-900?) pounds, 280zen. The z31 would more than likely be fine on a rotiserie when stripped completely, just like any other car.
  21. That has to have rolled over at least 1 time!
  22. On my IROC i was getting a weird vibration that went away after we got rid of the Y pipe and ran true dual exhaust, 2.5 from each manifold back. It was a lot better and the car just went and went and went. You might start getting a weird vibration from around the y pipe area. looks good though, itll accent those gauge trim peices
