  1. For $5k, though...you can have an RB26DETT installed...
  2. My personal opinions? Hmm...I don't mind the gov't computers watching what I do/say/type as long as it helps catch some more bad guys. It's not like the computer cares what you do, it's just looking for patterns.
  3. That looks like a clip from Initial D...but...that also looks like the MSA body kit (I've got the front and rear MSA kit)...
  4. What's the fastest speed you've gotten in GT3? I hit about 750MPH in the Escudo, but, I've heard of people people getting over 1000MPH...

  6. If you have an air compressor and about $10, you can fashion your own intake pressurizer...these can be invaluable for finding problems like yours.
  7. Yeah, a friend of mine in town has run 13.4's in his.
  8. Hmm...well...I've always been a fan of 2.4L turbo hybrids (I devised the hybrid for 2G's - a few running around now with great results). Ok...looking at the pictures of the cylinder head...it's definitely not the same as a Mitsubishi 4G63 head...it's the same as the 2.0L N/T Eclipse, but...umm...swapped (engine faces same direction, but, the intake is on the opposite side - typical Peon configuration) I had a modified Peon SRT-4 try to play with me (I was on the R1) the other morning...silly silly rabbit...trix are for kids... needless to say...even in modified form he still didn't stand a chance...however, I was impressed nonetheless. And we chatted for a minute or two at the stoplight. Anyway...Chrysler stole my idea of taking a 2.4L Avenger engine and swapping on a 420A DOHC cylinder head...I'm thinking of suing, but, figured it probably wouldn't be worth my time...besides...what would I do with a few million dollars anyway?
  9. KEIN, Probably the easiest way to check your speedo is to just drive on the freeway and compare your odometer mileage to the mile markers on the side of the freeway...there are also roads marked with speedometer tests, but, they're kinda hard to find when you need one. If you can find a side-of-the-road radar sign, those help, too...again...hard to find when you actually need one.
  10. ...subliminal messaging mode on... RacerX...paint awd92gsx's car...RacerX...paint awd92gsx's car...RacerX...awd92gsx's car....
  11. O2 sensors don't control WOT operation. Most ECU's (even new ones) stop looking at the O2 sensor past a certain percentage of the throttle and/or rpm.
  12. Ooops. I erred on my rear tire size. It's a 245/45r16
  13. Well, I've got a completely adjustable coil-over suspension with custom offset wheels and polyurethane bushings all the way around, so I'm ok there (I can't drift the car, it sticks too well...I've already tried ) I dunno, maybe I'll go with the RB26 swap or something like that one day. ...I definitely miss the sound of my old Greddy BOV, though...and my Frank 4 spooling up... sometimes I miss my DSM.
  14. I am about 90% sure that my car has the AZcar coilovers, but, I can't tell you much more than that. I'll be glad to take pics for you next time I have the car up in the air.
  15. I'm running 245/50r16's on the rear of my 280Z without fender flairs and the tires are tucked under the wheelswells...I do, however, have coilovers. I have some 225's up front and they don't stick out either.

  17. Well...I actually had the turbo engine/fmic/ecu/harness/etc... but, I just sold it all a couple of nights ago. I still have a few things to buy for the V8 conversion, but, money is getting split between my Z and my R1, so I probably won't get it done by Christmas (may try and get the install kit as a christmas present from the wife) Just to add to the above... I'm definitely going to probably do the V8 conversion, but, I don't think I'll forgo forced induction. My ideal go would be a nicely built LT1 w/supercharger...OR...an RB26DETT...OR...perhaps a Gran National 3.8L Turbo engine... Either way, in the future, I will definitely go back to forced induction. I've even considered starting to save up for a turbo kit for my R1...that'd probably be a little insane, though.
  18. Well, make sure that it's not too loose against the flapper valve. If it has any leaks at all chances are very good that it will burn a hole through the flapper valve/housing.
  19. Are there any certain styles of block hugger headers that need to be used? or...are all block huggers pretty much the same and can be used in a 1G V8 swap...??
