  1. Dang Six_Shooter, I forgot what forum I was on. My bad! Cut away!
  2. Ditto that ^ Panasports would look best on that car! Heck, Panasports look best on any Z.
  3. that's too nice of a car to cut up! Leave it as Nissan designed it! Nice Mustang btw!
  4. Fitness, Road Cycling, Mountain Biking, Gardening and Home, Loving my wife and pets. Oh, and my Z Car on skates.
  5. I just bought a bunch of seals from their catalog pages 10-11. It LOOKS nice in the bags and I didn't buy any hard items like door chrome. The car is in the dis-assembly process and not ready to refit gaskets, but I don't want to be trying to install a bunch of crap when I'm ready. Did I waste my $$$? What about squeegie rubber from Nissan? TR_X:-)
  6. Thanks dsommer, That is what I thought. I'm going to remove my '73 brackets and hold the bar up to the body to see if the contour matches. Then, I'll find the pre-'73 brackets or fab my own. T_RX slightly hung-over:mparty:
  7. I have a 1973 240Z and want to move the bumpers closer to the body as with the pre '73 cars. Question: Is my front bumper bar the same as earlier bodies? If so, I think it would be just a matter of getting early style brackets and viola! Plan is to fill old holes in '73 bar, straighten and paint gloss silver (going on a BMW artic white car) or find pre '73 bumper and install. Cost for chroming a bumper being very $$$, I don't want to chrome MY '73 front bar if it is not gonna work. I might just go the MSA fiberglass route... What do you think? Oh, and Happy New Year!! T_RX
  8. Sharp drill, high speed, easy pressure. Let the bit do the work.
  9. Why does everyone suddenly think they can Drift? It takes real car control skills to Drift. Heck, some pro racers can't get the hang of it. Good luck, best to avoid hard objects anchored into the ground if you continue.
  10. http://atlanta.craigslist.org/car/510495622.html This dude didn't have the balls to post photos of his car. I like the excuse "PS. none of these cars are mine but i wanted to give the people who aren't familiar with 240's an idea of what they look like". Come on! Really? My reply: So what does a $5000 240Z look like? You've stolen photos of others cars from the forums but you fail to show us what your car for sale looks like. We already know what a typical Z car looks like. T_RX
  11. Spent to date about $1200 but the car is almost as I got it for $500, +$250 for the 280ZXT rust bucket, +$200 for intercooler, intake manifold and misc. Budget should be under $10,000 with me doing most work and fab. T_RX
  12. http://autospeed.com/A_107975/cms/article.html In my opinion alarms are pretty much useless. People seldom pay attention to the noise and the thief only gets a smash and grab like they intended to anyway. The Z, being a vintage car has no value to a thief or a chop shop. All you need is the simple device that you can make yourself. Simple and effective! Happy holidays! T_RX
  13. I live in Georgia and had a 1974 240Z #RLS30-018962, at least that is what I recorded in my 260Z Clymer manual. My question, can I locate a history with this number? I am restoring a 1973 240Z but would like to see that car again. I miss her! Titus_RacerX
  14. Save the racing of daddy's car for the racetrack Junior!
  15. Looks like BMW Artic White. At least that's the color I'll be using. T_RX
  16. Great question! Common sense not working?
  17. Got a 73 that's sitting on tire skates waiting for that 280ZX Turbo and restoration. Garage queen.
  18. Het976, Thanks, Let me know what can be negoiated. I got to get this for the cheapest as the wife is watching every dime spent. I'm sure yours in too! I'm already hiding a few purchases... Shipping should not be as he advertised. I'll wait for a slow boat if needed! T_RX
  19. I have not seen it on eBay. Can you give me the link. I might try reasoning with him. If he is selling it there must be a break point for him to let it go. I might pull a mold and repo them if interest exist. TRX
  20. My brother and I used to build Cobra replicas from Unique (Alabama) he has a kit ready to be built if anyone is interested. You spec the motor and trans, but he already has the Jaguar IRS. Thunderbolt 3-duces intake available too! We had a 427 "demo" car that we played with at Road Atl. But, I thought this was a Datsun Z forum... TRX
  21. Let me know if anyone finds one! Thanks, Titus_RacerX
  22. I am trying to find the same hood buldge as in the attached photo. Now, someone show me how to insert a photo! Titus_RacerX:bling:
  23. I have this re-occuring dream of my car(s) being stolen...
  24. Please search the forums. Your questions are covered in the forums. A small block CHEVY will easier adapt to the Nissan as there is a larger network of available adaptors and people that have done this swap. SEZ8 is Sunday, I advise going... Titus_RacerX Smyrna, GA
