  2. You dont need a new driveshaft its going to be the same as your current one. you need to swap input flanges on your differential. you need one off of 280z with a r200 in it.
  3. I just went through this like 3 weeks ago. You need to get an input flang from a 280z with a r200 in it. Its a round flange. If i had an extra one i would send it to ya but i dont. Thats how i actually got my lsd i was swapping out my r200 from my turbo zxt into my my 260 which had the r180. So i went to my friends house to see if he had one and he did but it was on a lsd and was about to take it off and i was like, well how much for the whole thing. He said i $100 bucks and i said sold before he even finished saying it lol. Good luck finding one.

  5. one is reverse. one is neutral and one is over drive
  6. its in and out. i know there is up and down down that has to be there so there is clearance for the oil in the journal bearings. but it hasnt hit the housings yet so im gonna bolt it on and see if it will make it to dni and back. it doesnt look like its been leaking oil really so i think i will be ok. im gonna throw in my t3 and my stock down pipe just in case. should be fun. lol on another note does any one know what the stock waste gate setting was on the hx30w? cause i wanna try running the stock actuator and then adjusting it with the threaded rod

I just got a used holset hx30w in the mail that i got off of ebay. they said it didnt have any play... but of course it does and in my opinion needs to be rebuilt. now my question is does the hx30w have the same center section as the hx35w? because i cant find a rebuild kit for the hx30w but i can for the hx35w. so im wondering if i order the hx35w kit if it will work. thanks guys..
  8. my Intake air temp sensor bung is jb welded in. i didnt feel like spending 25 bucks on having my welder do a 2 min job. its worked fine with no problems. but do ruff it up before you do it
  9. they are just slotted rotors you can see a secound slot if you look close
  10. its a 260 those arent cut out for turn signals as the turn signals are on the upper outer corners. the cut outs on the upper one one are for the bumper shocks on the early 260

  12. thanks but i got a whole set of pistons on the way and a new set of perfect cicle rings on the way and a gasket kit. so i should have every thing by friday
  13. well i took the motor out this afternoon and took that piston out here is what i found so who has an extra turbo piston laying around they wanna mail me???
  14. awsome!! but if there is gas in your oil then you need to change your oil ASAP!!!
  15. oh and it was cleaner because i had wiped it out with a rag it did look like the rest of the pistons
  16. now that i look at it and arent in huff puff over it your probably right. i can barely feel it with my finger nail also. i do have an old set of dished pistions form a l28 that could prolly throw in with new rings and a hone job.. maybe some new bearings... ugggh any budy know where to get a pretty good ring set for decently cheap?

  18. why do you need forged pistions for 15-20lbs of boost?? big phil is at like 26 ish psi on stock internals.. i was running 15ish on this motor and the pistons are fine
  19. what do you guys think about throwing my p90 on my old 260 block? it did burn a little oil on first start up but it wasnt horrible....

  21. all ready on the building plans i dont get why people dont use them. they are so cheap and so functional. i used to throw them into all the 4stroke dirtbikes i used to build for customers just as precautions and those have circlips. dont know how many times i had one of those come out!!!
  22. i blew a head gasket this afternoon and my head off and found the bridge between 4 and 5 blown which i expected then i started looking closer at the cylinders and was looking at number five and i found this!! well im pretty screwed and looks like i have to pull the whole engine. and look for some over bore pistions. and im gonna have to rebuild the whole thing... so looks like im not going to dni... man this sucks!!!
  23. try setting up your coil like this http://diyautotune.com/images/cartech_articles/280zx/280zxt_relay_wiring.gif and pay attention to number 5 it goes through a 10 amp fuee and then to the positve side of the coil. then number 11 goes directly to the negative side of your coil
