  1. its a 260 those arent cut out for turn signals as the turn signals are on the upper outer corners. the cut outs on the upper one one are for the bumper shocks on the early 260

  3. thanks but i got a whole set of pistons on the way and a new set of perfect cicle rings on the way and a gasket kit. so i should have every thing by friday
  4. well i took the motor out this afternoon and took that piston out here is what i found so who has an extra turbo piston laying around they wanna mail me???
  5. awsome!! but if there is gas in your oil then you need to change your oil ASAP!!!
  6. oh and it was cleaner because i had wiped it out with a rag it did look like the rest of the pistons
  7. now that i look at it and arent in huff puff over it your probably right. i can barely feel it with my finger nail also. i do have an old set of dished pistions form a l28 that could prolly throw in with new rings and a hone job.. maybe some new bearings... ugggh any budy know where to get a pretty good ring set for decently cheap?

  9. why do you need forged pistions for 15-20lbs of boost?? big phil is at like 26 ish psi on stock internals.. i was running 15ish on this motor and the pistons are fine
  10. what do you guys think about throwing my p90 on my old 260 block? it did burn a little oil on first start up but it wasnt horrible....

  12. all ready on the building plans i dont get why people dont use them. they are so cheap and so functional. i used to throw them into all the 4stroke dirtbikes i used to build for customers just as precautions and those have circlips. dont know how many times i had one of those come out!!!
  13. i blew a head gasket this afternoon and my head off and found the bridge between 4 and 5 blown which i expected then i started looking closer at the cylinders and was looking at number five and i found this!! well im pretty screwed and looks like i have to pull the whole engine. and look for some over bore pistions. and im gonna have to rebuild the whole thing... so looks like im not going to dni... man this sucks!!!
  14. try setting up your coil like this http://diyautotune.com/images/cartech_articles/280zx/280zxt_relay_wiring.gif and pay attention to number 5 it goes through a 10 amp fuee and then to the positve side of the coil. then number 11 goes directly to the negative side of your coil

  16. well i tried his msq on my engine and all i changed was the required fuel from 7.0 to 6.8 for my injectors and changed the settings for the high Z injectors and it started right up. wasnt idling very well so i changed the crank angle to what i have it set at in my msq. his was 60 mine was 43. so i think he has a problem else where.
  17. pallnet im running the stock 82 zxt intake and exhaust manifolds and they get enough engagement to hold it tight it just doesnt get fully though the locking part of the lock nut. does that make sense? and i thought it might of just been my set but we installed a set on SPEEDERS and it was the same. its working but i would rather have more of the threads passing through the bolt. not saying your kit is bad in any way shape or form though as its working fine i just would of liked it to be like 2-3 mm longer
  18. yep sure have check napa for some studs of the proper length. or palllnet sells a set also, but i had a problem with them being a tad to short for my liking

  20. if we cant get this running by dni something is wrong lol ive been looking at your map and your idle values seem a little high to me. but here is what i want you to try. i want you to decrease you required fuel till it will start up and run. keep it running till its up to operating temp. then go back and re enter your required fuel to the proper setting. and while you have your wide band hooked up to your MS start changing your ve table till you get a solid idle.. also have you set up your distributor and then set your base timing?? thats all i got for ya as of now. ill try running this msq on my car tomorrow and see how it goes. oh and how do you know your putting tons of fuel into the cylinders??? just the smell? well hope that helps
  21. e-mail it to me yz125mxracer2001 at yahoo.com. i would hook your wideband up just so you know whats going on.. and this may be a stupid question but its something i did and it made my car not start. have you hooked up the megasquirt to the manifold with a vacuum hose??? i didnt and it wouldnt start. and was just loading the engine up with fuel
