  1. www.msextra.com the manuals you need are on this site not the megamanual.com site...ive found this to be much more helpful and has cleared up alot of stuff for me.

  3. i wouldnt use the l24 crank its a common practice to use the l24 rods with the l28 crank and then special pistions. it has something to do with rod to stroke ratio.
  4. i am running the msd 6a on my msns 3.0 with the vb coil driver driving a msd blaster coil. i was getting a missfire under boost at like 13psi. SPEEDER told me to try a msd 6a and i wired it up and it fixed my missfire.so i dont see why it shouldnt work just coming off of the fidle.
  5. its not an error message that comes up in megatune. its when your trying to load your ini file in hyperterm it will say error on the hyperterm window when it tries to load
  6. why not hook it up to come on with your dome light? thats what i would want
  7. mine wouldnt load using hyperterm either and i was getting the same error messages. here is what i want you to try. open up my computer and go to the megasquirt folder now find the folder that has the code that you are using. now once you have clicked on that there should be 2 .bat files click the one that says download firmware. and then a dos window should open and follow the instructions. this worked for me. my friend who is a compleat computer genius did this for me and got my code loaded. let us know if it works

  10. the coupe is also supposed to be priced into the low 20k's ive heard... should be a nice car. if the 2.0 turbo is the same motor that is in 2001esk body style tiburon its a really stout motor... there are guys getting 400whp out of them on stock bottom ends... my friend has one but its not turbo but its not a bad motor at all. runs really smooth.
  11. that looks pretty sweet.... if you had a big shop it would deff make for moving your car around easy! what i like is that it gives you an option to not hook the rotisserie on ther rear bumper area as mine is shaved and there is no longer a place to mount anything

  14. actually my car has been a beach car its whole live was originally down in in west palm area and has been in fl its whole life. my under carriage of my car isnt rusted bad at all. obviously that doesnt mean they are all like that.
  15. dude im in ormond also! ive seen that car on the side of the road for sell. that car is in no way worth 2800 it has shiny paint but their is alot of rust. id i remember right threar fenders are rsted out and so are the doglegs! this is a no go for me unless you could get it for like 1500 maybe. pm me your number and id be willing to go look at it with youu though. i kmow wher its parked
  16. im running 12-13psi right now and ill be upping it soon once i get some bigger injectors. then bigger turbo and bigger intercooler... guess im fallowing the big-phil recipe and my tune is decent and getting better all the time.

  20. ok so i was giving a used hks(i believe) 2mm metal head gasket today(thanks rick!!!!) and well its been used and then was sitting in a box for a while and it needs to be cleaned up. i was thinking of soaking in some acetone or some MEK to dissolve the old copper coat and what not. but then i started to wonder if i could drill out the brass rivets and then clean all the layers and then after they are clean rivet it back together? just wondering if this would be ok or if i should just soak it in something and clean it that way?? well thanks in advance.   23. its been done there is pictures of it on zcar somewhere. and i hope your not going to be going very far... and getting it out is doable but your gonna need alot of guys and prolly best to take off your rear hatch to get it out i would think..
  24. ok im not great at this stuff but to me it looks like you are causing that vortex on runner 1 cause you have a ramp to start the vortex then you have the bump to turn the air again and then it fallows the curve of the plenum and then the cycle starts over again... so im thinking you either need to change the angle of your ramp... maybe make it smaller... put holes in it ... change the angle, some thing along those lines. another thing im thinking is to completely change the flow and move or maybe even ad another ramp but put it on the outside the plenum thus changing the vertical cyclone into maybe a more twisting motion that might get the air into the first runner better. cause right now it seems to just be swirling around the outside of it and not wanting to go down the hole lol
  25. if im not mistaken there is a company that takes the pistons and heads off of 2 hyabusa's and makesa v-8 out of them with a new crank and a new block and then puts the pistions and rods in and slaps on the heads... im almost positive i saw it at a show at bike week in daytona a few years back...
