  1. if its like my 74 it is a fiber optical light that puts light into the cigarette lighter. mine is disconnected
  2. if you have a noid light take off your injector plugs and see if your getting an injection pulse. just cause its getting fuel pressure doesnt mean its getting fuel..
  3. my friend just got a 2001 s4 its pretty much stock but its about to change. but your right that is one nice ride.. the allwheel drive is amazing i can be completely out of control sliding around a corner yet still be in control. i love that car.... but my z is still faster lol

  5. ok well washed the zed today and took a vid of it after i was done... havent really ever posted any pics of my car so here ya guys go.... oh ya.. the stats are its a 1974 260Z early it has a 240sx transmission, megasquirted L28et, stock pretty much every thing except a FMIC from a starion, but all the emissions stuff is taken off, suspension is the stock stuff as far as i know except i cut the springs to lower it. and the wheels are the classic made in england Minilite
  6. hell with my first tank of gas driving around town with an awful tune this past week i was getting 17 with MS1 and i used to get 15 around town with the stock ecu

  10. dont know on the resistors but on the wiring bundle that i used from DIY the power wire for the injectors was thinner wire and the ground wire was thicker wire..
  11. this looks great. but why make it so you weld it together?? why not make the 2 sides bolt together with an o-ring to seal it?? like just have half an o-ring grove on each side and then just add tabs around the outside to bolt it together. to me that would look way better and maybe even allow for different size plenum chambers to suit different taste's/preference
  12. glad your ok. did you have full coverage on it at least?? if so get the money. buy back the car and then get another shell and start swapping parts over. seems like that would be the way to go
  13. hey matt yeah i am. i figured out what it was though with the help of rick bowers or speeder on here. i followed the directions on how to make the relay cable on the mega manual page and it says to leave out pin 36. well with the new 3.0 board pin 36 is ign output for the direct coil driver. and then on the new relay board pin36 goes to pin 11 i think for the negative side of the coil. and well no matter how hard it tries to send the signal i dont think its going to go anywhere with out a wire solderd in so i put one in and it fired right up. dang im excited lol thanks. P.S matt if you read this do you know who to contact so we can get the information changed on the megamanual.com page so it is updated???

    ok to get my info out of the way i have a 260z with an82 l28et swap into it. and im installing msns+extra v3.0 along with the relay board well its installed and every thing seems to work but i have no spark. so i have a few questions that hopefully you guys can help me sort through. 1st. I followed the diyautotune.com's install artical on there web site. and i used this diagram to wire up my relay board now that i think about it i actually installed it like this to me that does the same thing its just at a different place on the line which shouldnt make a difference if im thinking right but im just checking everything so thought i would ask. 2nd. my next question is what is the proper wiring coming off of the ignition coil? i have mine set up just like ti shows on the above diagram the + side gets power from the fuel pump with a 10amp fuse installed. and the negative post is hooked to pin 11 on the junction box on the relayboard. and thats all i have hooked up to my coil. should i have a condensor or something wired in there somewhere?? Well those are the only 2 things i can think of that arent exactly how they say to do it. or i can think that might be off. well any input would be appriciated. thanks Jeff
  15. man wish you would of posted this 2 weeks ago. i was in newton for the holidays i grew up in newton and was always in wichita of course. i would of loved to come see your collection. im actually thinking of moving back. its good to know i wouldnt be the only Z around
  16. you using firefox?? i do and it didnt make sense. opened microsoft IE and it was ok. or just call him he is a good guy to deal with, at least my dad says so

  18. 8. You'll find that a 20 or 30 minute track session takes a lot more concentration and focus then you ever realized. If you're feeling tired or ill, don't think you have to run the last sesison of the day. Its better to end the day on a good note then go out and make a bad mistake becuase you're tired and lost focus. never done a car track day but have on sport bikes and raced motorcross for years. the worst accidents seem to happen when you take "just one more lap or session" its the end of the day your tired and you just want to go do one more lap to finish your day off... you go out and your not really into it and you miss a turn or over/under shoot a jump (motorcross only i guess) and the next thing you know you are in the hospital. trust me i know from experience. i think it took me 2 trips in the ambulance before i got that point pounded into my head. So if your tired or not really feeling it. dont go out. there is no reason to risk your pride and joy(your car) and yourself, and not to mention other peoples lives and there cars.
