  1. looks awesome. Ill have to keep that in mind. Thanks for the pics
  2. I would like to see the link or more information on the airborne coatings. Sounds to cheap to be true but I dont know for headers if they charged for each runner it would be expensive. I want to get my turbo housing and manifold coated and maybe my exhaust once I get that sorted out.
  3. Are the rivets and that metal piece getting removed or is that staying. Im a littleconfused the durabond is that going to be the only thing holding these two sections together. Looks like good stuff though. Ill probably be using some on my project. Thanks
  4. thanks for the info this is definatly exciting news. Now which accessories do you use with the 240sx trans (clutch pressure plate etc) the ones for the z or the ones from the sx?
  5. Yep Definatly power steering. I may go smaller on the front tires though thats just what I know will fit. Looking at 265's which on a fifteen inch rim (not positive on the offset) fills quite well. The true imsa body kit is one widebody. Filling those wheel wells is going to cost I really dont want to run spacers.
  6. I wonder what it would cost me to get a tube front end like the above one. I really like how thats set up.
  7. I want to get 17's mainly because there are not many if any 335 tires in the 16 inch size. Thats what Ill be running in the rear. probably 285's up front.
  8. I think thats a heck of a deal if he is being honest in his description of course you should offer less to start with but I would buy that right now if it was local. I cant find any deals like that.
  9. Ok I keep seeing the 240sx five speed mentioned in posts as being bulletproof. Last concensus I gathered was that it couldnt be made to fit an L series but I have heard it talked about and made to sound as if it would. Whats the real skinny could it be adapted to work. I know the gears are optimal for turbo'ing and if its as strong as everyone says would make a great budget trans. Lets hear it experts
  10. hey Dan hope you see this if not ill try pming you. Do you have a front shot of those vents or a top shot from dead on. I was looking for pics on johns site for those last night. I have been debating back and forth about them. Looks good with paint though.
  11. Im gonna need a 12 inch wheel in the rear and a 9.5 or ten in the front. Got an imsa (not the msa version) widebody kit and hope to have new wheels by this summer. I really like 18's but I will probably go with 17's what I want is something like a five or 6 spoke wheel in comparison to volk racing wheels but in a deeper offset. I want a smooth lip rather than a stepped lip like the ccw's have. It makes your rim look wider than it really is and really looks sweet on a deep dish wheel in my opinion. If you can get a price that is anywhere near yours I definatly want a set. The wheels Im looking at right now are 2300 for the set and I cant even think about affording them 13-1500 is more in my league. Definatly keep us posted
  12. Dead sexy wheels you got there. May we inquire to what kind of deal you got on those?
  13. Actually Im pretty sure that johnc is running a penske setup. Either of these options will run you between 3 and 6 thousand dollars. I think spirit garage has a good option but they are in japan. I would like to look into importing their setup myself.
  14. How much cost do you have in materials to do this? And how good is the final finish?
  15. Is that hood available without the vents in the first place?
  16. I always liked the snowflake wheels from the zx bt the 14 inch size is too piddly for me. I think a set with that design only stretched to a 16 or 17 inch rim would be hello sweet. I want a set of those rims too if he wants to make another set for a similar price adjusted for me because I need a little wider. Definatly keep us posted. If the price was right I would go for a custom steering wheel too I like the canadian to us dollars conversion rate
  17. anyone know the alf/dlf rating of the fatmat? Not sure what Im going with yet. Thanks guys
  18. doesnt victoria british sell the ones with and without the chrome slot. Id like to eleminate these from the front and rear of my cars would make for a less bulky looking gasket too
  19. I wouldnt go with the fastback vents peticularly but that concept would do nicely I think. If you can find any pictures of ebays fast forward fastback that had custom made faux vents I think it would give you some different ideas. I think that would look awesome. I dont have any pics but they are on ebay's site somewhere. Zrossa if you look at this topic again I wanted to let you know that since the site changed your gallery pics are gone any chance of reposting those Im always referring back to your front end. Email me if you have any progress reports on the front end to make. Thanks
  20. yeppers already have the hot rod mag long time subscriber....anyhow the 6.0 is probably out of my price range. The 5.3 is definatly more affordable and a good deal on a budget. Just thinking about what I can do with it. But definatly would like to find the 6.0 who knows maybe ill get lucky and find a good low mileage ls1 for cheap....yeah right
  21. Well I have been looking into the vortec ls1 based truck engines for awhile as they are quite a bargain. I am wondering a few things about them though. Are the ls1 style intakes swappable onto the truck model ls1 based blocks. How about the ls1 ls6 heads can they be swapped onto a truck block. What about beefing up the internals and getting rid of the ls1 springs and pushrods. Are they the same parts in both engines. Im looking to buy a vortec 5.3 or 6.0(if im really lucky) and would like to upgrade it. Looking into possibilities. Thanks for the expertise
  22. If you want the lt1 fuel injection on your 1st gen block than the intake can be swapped using a tpi speed density harness or aftermarket engine management such as the megasquirt. You can convert the intake yourself or have it done at http://www.lt1intake
  23. Well Someday I want to get a 2+2 I am not a fan of the side windows at all though. What I would do with the car if it were mine would be to lean towards a mustang fastback. If any of you have followed the ebay mustang fastback buildup the custom vents is what I would replave the side windows with. I would have sheet metal to cover the window openings and have the custom vents to fill in that area and break up the dead space. Once that was done I think the car would be dead sexy. Anyone care to photoshop some
  24. Been done. Thought about that myself actually. Alotta output and not much more weight than a small block. Definatly enough torque to twist your car into a pretzel and thats stock
  25. Ok Ill give you a hint one of the newer toyota products has some slick seats but Im not tellin. If you want to steal my idea you'll have to work for it CRX si seats also look pretty nice
