  1. It's not ideal, but doesn't need extensive modification other than someone with a lathe to make sure the lever is cut and drilled straight to put a stud in. I'm not sure how strong the joint is, but it should do for now.
  2. The large furniture dollies from harbor freight work well for the engine carts, just use some of the scrap 4x6 to block up along the engine pan.
  3. check out the pics in my gallery here for what i have done to the late, long eared 5 spd and the shift lever.
  4. Took my mom out to HPR and got her a ride in a wrx that was there. The driver told me that she kept telling him to go FASTER! And all I ever got was the quick inhale of breath and her foot slamming to the floor board, of course that was street driving.
  5. "I don't need lunch now" "I'll have a beer though" "Did you beat everybody?" "They were waving you by, better get their azz out of the way"
  6. Go for it. It's pretty good on TV with different cars on the same track, fast vs really fast.
  7. Unless you had it in writing, then the second service may be the only option. That could be a better option as well. Just make sure they do it right this time.
  8. It was more of a question if it was ratsun rather than any kind of slight aimed toward them. I don't know too many web sites with datsun truck knowledge.
  9. **thread jack** Since aus is quite a ways away, how about coming out to denver for the zccc track day at High Plains Raceway. Saturday June 4th.
  10. tech-toy bought theirs from z'sondabrain over at classiczcars, and dave built them using rt dimensions with the bends for additional clearance for the brake and fuel lines. Using the gm mount, it lowers the nose of the differential for those who have v8 conversions. For those of us who still have the l6, we still use the stock diff mount along with a bump stop/snubber and cut it down.
  11. If it's not too far away, I may be able to check it out. Do you have pics? send me an email through here so we don't fill the thread with chit chat.
  12. There is a place in Estes Park, haven't heard too much about them or their name. Make sure you have the parts lined up in case they don't. Have you looked at the car in person yet? Mechanical work or parts swapping if you source your own parts, I recommend A&M Automotive in north Boulder. Or Jeff Winter(ralley sport) in Westminster. He focuses more on racing nissans but is more than capable of the work. Will you be in town around June 4th? If so the z club is hosting a track event on Saturday. I do have a 4 spd in case you're interested. Let me know the next time you're in town.
  13. What are your plans? Picking up a car here? driving here for vacation or moving here? What are you trying to do with your car?
  14. Take the bushings out, then use the scissors jack to spread them apart about 1/8" or so. They will spring back but not enough that you can't put it back together without too much trouble.
  15. You need to go a little further in your diagnosis. Like taking the rubber boot off to expose the lever. If that is set, then do a search for "won't go into gear" or variations of that.
  16. what happened to the puller?
  17. doesn't look like he was wearing a hans device, very lucky for a sudden stop like that.
  18. A new head temp sensor won't work if the wires are broken or corroded.
  19. Check the head temp sensor. Between 5 and 6 spark plug. Make sure the wires aren't corroded and are making contact.
  20. There should be a link someplace on the hybridz site to take you to the gallery. If not go to the pic gallery and search for my name.

  21. Darrel,

Thanks for the info on the Classic Z site. I was not able to access your link-said something like "invaled IPB path".
