The bronze door hinge bushings are a great upgrade. You need lube in order for them to work. When pressed in the lever they will get downsized so much that the pin won't slip in, then use more lube and press the pin using the vice, this will allow the pin to form the bushing to the tight tolerance. Then using a pair of pliers you can free it up so it won't stick. The you will need to file the flats of the bushings down, just enough to fit between the tranny ears.
The cover doesn't drop down all the way to the garage floor. Just enough to cover the car without dropping all the way down.
The guy probably has the clapper rigged up to the system. but pretty ingenious. My grandpa was the same way. He used and old storm door and put it on sliders to replace the door between the garage and kitchen. Added a spring as a helper for the garage door opener. I still have his shoe repair kit. and these are his work shoes. My sister took the pic. He wanted to clean them up before she did but wouldn't let him.
There are more go karts, just search for different spelling and terms.
go kart, gokart, go-kart, etc. There is one with a cage using other terms.
Just need to make sure to use a governor to keep the speed under control.
Sounds like he already had luck with the spindle pins.
Use your scissor jack and use it to spread the control arm apart, maybe close to 1/4" from where it is now. When you release it, then it should fit over the strut.
Is this the kind of damage seen on all coil overs or just those that are sectioned and lowered?
I plan to go with coil overs, but won't be lowering it any more than it already is and will be using the illuminas I already have for the 240z.
we have a real nice one in colorado. Designed, built and owned by our local amateur car clubs. No outside investors, it was totally built in house by donations and financing by individual club members. Of which the Z Car Club of Colorado is a part of.
This was our first full season and it's a very fun track.
I'm sure when the national convention comes our way again this will be the track we will use.

metric allthread, 2 nissan mag wheel lugnuts, thrust bearing. The lugnuts are 12 x 1.25 and are great to use as a connecting nut for both the pin itself and the part that will pull the pin out. An added benfit with the thread pitch, it will slowly draw the pin out.
Just don't use the lock pins. WQhen I changed out struts tubes on the rear, I was able to put the spindle pins back in with any trouble, just like when I installed them doing the bushing replacement. The only thing I would suggest is to use enough silicone to cap the holes for the lock pins.
