  1. gotta love search http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=124666
  2. It looks like one of the screws that holds the baffle in the valve cover.
  3. I have had a few requests for my hood done in carbon fiber. I already have molds so that might help keep initial costs down. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=101130
  4. G = geometry I = Function? N = Infinite (OK maybe) A = Adaptations
  5. Very cool video, but if you are wondering where those dents in your passenger fender came from, look at minute 2:00.
  6. A billboard Hemi refers to the large "Hemi" and side stripe on the rear quarter.
  7. 1 fast z has some too. http://www.hammondsplains.com/z/zworld/bmc/cooling/main.htm
  8. When the two bottle example is used it is misleading. The reason is that the spinning fluid allows air to leave the bottom bottle easier so it is displaced as the liquid from the top bottle drains in. In an intake there is no air needing to leave out of the "tornado" device. I wouldn't say the tornado devices are a joke but I'd need a little better example.
  9. As most of you know communication over the internet can get confusing. My suggestion of "closure" was only to not wait on us if your project is moving forward. Obviously the air dam belongs to Vinh to do with as he pleases, I have only offered my services for repair, fit and finish work, mold creation and to make additional parts available. My preference is to fund my portion on my own and gamble that I can make that investment back. Therfore I am very careful about what projects I select. Because of this, I can also guarantee I have my resources in place as it is very important for me to recover my investment. So at this point I continue to urge people to move forward with their projects, if/when Vinh, Max and I pull a plan together we will update everyone on the details. Thanks for everyone's interest and I will hope to hear from all of you again soon.
  10. The only bump in this effort is obtaining the original part to work from. I have all my resources ready and willing to go.
  11. I've shipped fiberglass hoods all over the country and my shipping cost have doubled in the last two years. My guess is the actual shipping cost of that part would be around $80, if they have it picked up at their house, and delivered to your front door, add to that price, if you asked for insurance add that to the price, packaging materials, add that to the price. Very true prices are getting up there.
  12. Don't give up on me yet. I continue to offer my services to make this happen. I just hate it when someone announces a new part being available and it really isn't close to being ready. I just don't want people holding up their dream on a part I can't give a concrete schedule on. When opportunities arise I prefer to "be in the drivers seat" so I can give an accurate account of the project as it progresses. I don't ask for deposits I only try to gauge interest and then make the appropriate business decision. I appreciate everyone's interest and still have hopes that this project will come together.
  13. i htink you are prety close with that estimate. I think you can check kellybluebook.com and they list original price. I think that is where i have seen it.
  14. Well if it is a spoiler that replaces the lower valance then yes it will fit. If it mounts to the valance then my experience has been they won't fit. I have three spoilers one fits a 280 and the other two fit 240/260's. I also believe if Motorsports spoilers fit additional years they would advertise as such since they would make a lot more money. I would ask the sales rep you talk to as I am sure they have the correct experience.
  15. no they don't, different valance contour.
  16. I hate to keep people in anticipation, so please do not wait for this to happen. Vinh has yet to contact me or ship the part for fabrication and mold building. I am considering this effort closed as I wouldn't want to wait months for a part and wouldn't expect others to do that either.
  17. I have been ready to go on this for over a month.
  18. You might want to post some pictures and your location.
  19. I am waiting for them to allow all Hybrids to use the HOV lanes (High Occupancy Vehicle lanes here in Arizona for carpools and "other" hybrid cars).
  20. But I have found having two cars (one together and one apart) help you figure out how to put one back together : ) Ok, now for a cheap one, 70-78 headliner repair/replacement. Locate a local fabric store that deals in automotive materials (ie headliner material) and buy 2 square yards (cause one square yard is 5" too little). Buy 3M headliner adhesive (3M only, don't get cheap here). Remove old headliner for template, cut out a new one and install using instructions on 3M can. Approximate cost $35, do two cars at once approximate cost $40. Since there is enough glue for two cars easily.
  21. I'd remove it and see if it ends up being a problem. I doubt you will need it.
  22. Say you donate it and they give it a value of $2000 (just to pick a number), you are then allowed to deducted it from you income. Meaning you don't have to pay tax on $2000 on your standard income. You don't get to apply $2000 to your tax debt. I might be wrong but that is the way I understand it.
