  1. It is actually designed to blow cooler air on the injectors.
  2. You can go to vixy.net and convert and download as an MP4
  3. I see a lot of people thinking about this and would think all that free vegatable oil from restaurants is going to be claimed and prices start to go up. Then leaving a bunch of people with these home brew machines collecting dust.
  4. A few of the Tran Ams did come with minimal stripping as it was an add on at an additional cost. The wheels on that car are also correct, most came with the upgrade wheels (snowflake or honeycombs, I can't remember what year they switched but I think it was 77 when the snowflake style started, but it was an upgrade as well).
  5. I was watching that too, and I got one sitting on the shelf.
  6. This is one sweet looking project....keep us posted!
  7. Looks like i missed a couple of questions, did you put doublers in the hinge and latch area? The hinge area is a new design and very "beefed" up. The rear latch area can also be made as thick as the customer desires. It is important we discuss you specific needs before ordering. are you having pretty good success with contours matching the fenders? Some have matched better than others but loads better than I have seen with most fiberglass hoods. how much clearance does this buy you over the factory hood? I can't answer that exactly but can provide memasurements based on my V8 configuration and mounts. Chopper or mat? The hoods are made with hand laid fiber mat and epoxy resin. I see the cowl has the original straight line right underneath it. How does that do anything for clearance? That piece is what allows you to use the stock latch mechanism and provides rigidity. It should not give you any clearance issues unless you REALLY moved your engine back!
  8. I just cut patch panels for the dents as well. http://desertzassociation.com/membersrides/Robert/75z/picpage/page5.htm
  9. I think my fiberglass hood is at least worth consideration; http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=101130 I can have them fabricated thicker if the customer prefers that. I have seen several fiberglass hoods (as well as other parts) that exhibit the issues you mentioned. Which is why I tried to go the extra mile to provide a quality product.
  10. and didn't get any calls. Our bolt pattern isn't that popular on low riders. Not to mention they prefer the 13" wheels.
  11. My goal wasn't necessarily "rat rod" but more of the sinister or menacing look. I go bad and forth on the wheels too, but that was all I could find and afford to get to a 17" wheel. i also agre with six shooter, rat rods should be built with true old parts and ingenuity.
  12. Here is mine in flat black, not sure if it qualifies as a rat rod though.
  13. Once they passed that law here I now insure a 70 Chevelle, 2- 75 280's and a 350 with collector insurance since the truck remains my daily driver. If you are questioing this route because of what you have "heard", don't. Haggerty was more than willing to work with me on value and mileage per year. The only stipulation was that I had another car insured as my daily driver.
  14. Doesn't that need to be done in a couple of weeks? Keep that nose to the grindstone Bryan, lookin good!
  15. making you register to "look" what a rip off. I can understand paying to bid but not to look. For those in Ariz, we have SAISC.com
  16. You mean the crank has two degrees of play before engaging the cam correct? If so, that sounds correct and normal.
  17. Now if I could just get Vinh to contact me or 007Max so we can work on getting the part here and ready.
  18. I'd get the FP up first, and verify flow rate. I have extra AFM's, ECU's etc and an ECCS analyzer if it comes to that.
  19. Those vents were part of a plan that didn't materialize.
  20. Go for it, you can always roll the windows down.
  21. If you PM me your address I can get a quote.
  22. Looks great!, now I know what my color scheme will look like : ) I have wanted to do the same color combo but am not sure mine is ever going to get to paint.
  23. wasn't questioning the price just saving people the time navigating the annoying site to find it.
