  1. Some of the newer chevy colt, i think has a centrifugal supercharger with intercooler. Weird things come sc now like the mini cooper. BUT they got an extra 10 hp with the turbo model on the price is right they gave one away and said it did 0-60 in 8 sec HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA :icon13:
  2. FYI I believe the 700 plus shipping was fair for it, to the right guy whos desperate enough. but im not into spending that much cash, ill buy a obx and install it in my diff with some extra improvements ive read up on, roughly 450 bucks. before geting a used unknown diff for that many benjis altho that diff is TIGHT!!!
  3. wants to much, looking for a good deal, thats why im not picky what kind of locker it is, I will need the axles with the diff as well
  4. Thats a new one for me. whats a whipple? I assume its the screw Bart mentioned?
  5. Wanted, any r200 long nose rear diff, with a locker and CV's VLSD maybe? cheap thats why i dont care if its a VCLD I just need something to give some power to the other wheel lol. its my DD so I dont want to weld the spider gear together preferred 3.54's
  6. Just speculation, but I have heard others boosting to 15 psi (ruffly 2 atmospheres) that a supercharger will drain 40 hp at peak, but there are alot of variables. As for the wheel on the sup, i thing you should refer to how much air is being pushed (cfm) now by it and use it for a starting point, reduce it from there.... as for injectors, you can try over pressurizing the ones you have for more flow, I would use the basic rule of thumb of 1cc flow of an injector to 1hp, use that to gauge if you need to add ONE BIG injector to the mix of all the rest you have. I assume you would be using a stand alone ecu. Why wouldn't you start an exotic swap like this with a C20XE. duel overhead cam = more power. Are you using a centrifugal supercharger with intercooler?
  7. No way, a t5 is not a t5. I know I can use a t5 ford rebuild kit on my datsun t5 but speedo gears dont interchange, let alone input and output shafts being different. I had this same conversation with my dad about putting a 350 in my 240z. just look at the inputs, wont even need a tape measure to go ''oh I see''
  8. I would like to say I have put a l28et in my 240z with the t5 all for $800 because of one thing, RESEARCH on this site mainly. and inganuity, like a coil bracket fits great on a 280zxt fuel pump, plus bolts to the existing 73 electric fuel pump bracket. i was so stoked on that one. I owe alot to the z brains on this site and try to be one of them as often as possible, dont forget. because one guy did it, dont spend $175 to make adapters that never worked and all could have been saved with a tape measure!! you can get a good one for 10 bucks lol. still trying to figure out that one, anyone have some stock 280zx turbo cv's in portland? once i get a stable job this sit WILL be seeing some bucks from me
  9. Im using some custom adapters I had CNC'd, Zeerari used them with no problems. Thats why im wondering if somebody might have put Z31 na axles on it at some time, i know the splines and the bolt pattern is the same. can you bolt a z31 na axle in a s130T? or maybe they where replaced and manufacture differences.... I would unbolt the LCA but i feel there is not enough room in the cv for this, binding issues How do you insert those pictures? am i going to have to figure out how to use photobucket?... lol zeerari has a pic of the adapter on his photo bucket, that is how I found them, they are 1.1 inches thick, and they bolt in between your existing companion flange and s130T axle there is a pic there also of them bolted in!!! his are steel where as I used alumnuminum
  10. Its not what you use, Its how you use it. That will make your car getto!!! I love finding uses for things, did you know a zx fuel pump fits great in a coil bracket? saved a couple of bucks there and its a datsun bracket so it doesnt look out of place!!
  11. Is it possible that a previous owner has put z31 na axles on there 280zxt? only thing i can think of right now..... Can I get 0.02?
  12. Whops getting a little ahead then... I have the whole r200 with cvs from the 83T
  13. Following the leed of another member on this board I had some custom adapters made to put the cv axles in my 73 240. But the axles seem to long. I can not compress the cv enough.... Help!!!!!!!!!! money gone to waste here and i would like to se others opinions on options....MM adapters I think... and opinions of why it worked flawlessly on a 77 and not my 73???
  14. Why dont you want turbo? you have to pull your whole motor just to get it machined anyways, might as well put a l28et in there! I did in my 240, took me four days, kinda proud on that one or if you are going to bore it anyways why dont you go 89mm? no replacement for displacement
  15. any chance of a 1983 zxt fsm?
  16. still looking, hoping to get cheaper, hoping somewhere in state maybe?
  17. im in se portland 97236, let me know a price, cant find one yet at the u pull it....

  21. i thought the tps was just a swich for idle position and wot? afm is hooked up right and elec is gone thru... i keep thinking its how i wired it, but it could be anything. im trying to find what all the wires do on the 8 pin plug right now. ive seen a couple different stories on here
  22. i have searched so i want people to know that!!! if you would send me a link somewhere that helps ill delete this, thank you now i bought a whole 83, lightly bumped in the front. but it turned over and ran no problem drove it on to the tow dolly actually (very quickly, no radiator) i finally got the motor in my 240. turning it over had no spark.... ok wire switched power to something other than acc... duh. well now it sounds like a diesel and is flooding the motor, i have to give it a huge vacuum leak just to "run". how did i drive this no problem, telling myself "wow this has a ton of torque" "cant wait to get in my 240". to this... right of hand it sounds like timing is way off but it checks out. someone on another thread said theirs a cold start wire to enrich fuel when cranking, if its hot it will do this, i go and cut the wire thinking well better or worse than. nothin no change. help!! i can get pictures if that helps.
  23. well it sounds like torbo is the way to go for me, how hard is it for me to change to a megasquirt fi? i have a limited knowledge of a carberated chevy and never worked on something like this, but im very eager to learn, thank you for all the advice and you might here from me later...
