  2. here this should help you out http://www.92lude.com/prelude_manual/Wiper%20&%20Washer%20system.pdf compare that with your factory manual diagram and you should be able to hook it up. Let me know if you need help. -Ed
  3. lol you crack me up, you can swap an RB motor but you can't read a wiring diagram? I don't have access to the honda anymore, but like i mentioned before, there is a relay you can buy for the motor, that will give you your intermitten until then, just wire the other two speeds to you combo switch. When I get my car running and painted I will adress this issue again in more detail. -Ed
  4. just another reason Short stupid people shouldn't buy big vehicles. I hope nissan counter sues them for ignorance. This is what is wrong with our country!
  5. Is warren only in CA? I need some keys cut here in texas, and i only have one, and no code. -Ed does he have blanks?
  6. haha yeah.... Raining frogs definatly a new one on me lol -Ed PS Guys if you wanna see some crazy frog raining action go rent the movie "Magnolia"
  7. Why thank ya, thank ya very much. Yeah, the finger definatly needs to get healed, damn thing. They told me today if it turns black or green I gotta go to the ER ASAP. I'm wearn' this goofy ass AL splint right now. Sucks, but what can ya do? -I convinced my dad to spray some paint for me since my finger is all F**ed up. I just gotta go prep and sand with the left hand haha. -Thanks for the help RacerX, come down to TX and all three of us will work on a project Z! Cheers -Ed Mike so you understand that movie yet? I still don't understand it.
  8. You guys are really bad with photoshop lol. I'll post what Mike is talkn' about this weekend some time. -Ed
  9. oh man.. I HATE SHERWIN WILLIAMS, they fucked me hardcore my first paint job.. I'll never use their products ever again. And yeah.. I've been usn' Marine Clean a POR15 product to etch the metal first... then cleaning with lacuer thinner and sprayn' the PPG corrosion primer/sealer. but it's still bleeding through? I'm gonna go to the paint store and get just a dedicated sealer, then a high build primer to spray over that.. I think that should do the trick. As for mikes paint... I keep telln' him last night... put some rally stripes on the side like the old muscle cars... you know from hood to sideskirt maybe with a "280z" in them. I think with the center stripe startn' with the bulge that'd look pizimp -Ed
  10. Aight dude.. it just came to me. The Old Lacquer paint, get some Super White and we just won't buff it! Should look nice and flat. I think Edmunds still sells it. -Ed
  11. I'm down.. Only one prob... My Z still don't go! haha. Maybe we should call up Jeff... he'd prolly be down for some Z chat and beer. 8) Racer X... what primer/sealer do you use on bare metal? I'm usn' PPG's corrosion resistant primers and they aren't workn' too hot. Any ideas? Drop me a line. Sourcandy@playful.com
  12. Daddy.. buy me beer.... pwease.. I'm thristy! haha. 8)
  13. What were were talkn' about was a chemical deglosser that you add to the clear coat. But Mike was wanting some pics of cars done this way. Basically going for that "Rat Rod" look but with the clear coat still to protect it from bird shit. 8) Even if you use like a 3,000 grit to the clear it'll still look all chalky when it dries. How come it's illegal in Cali? Hey mike... maybe a rough buffing compound? I still think the De-Glosser is the easiest way to go. -Ed Yeah.. Mikes not my father lol
  14. OK.. pure nature of the engine is they are going to make noise. Plain and simple. Now there is a problem if one valve makes a distinctly louder noise than all the others, or if the engine feels as though it's lost power. If neither one of those are occuring then i would say turn your radio up louder and forget about it, or learn to like it as the rest of us have. -Ed btw... they make fiberglass and CF bumpers for the 240's
  15. Yeah i know a place... My garage... too bad I'm in Texas though. -Ed
  16. Definatly a frankenstien. Doesn't follow the lines of the car at all and sticks out too much.
  17. the local walmart in my area sells LED bulbs, they fit the Z. Gives it a great look. -Ed
  18. ok so take off the big chrome bumper up front, and the bumper mounts.. there's like 30lbs off... Anyway... this may seem like a dumb? But when you adjusted the valves it sounds like you did it cold. Try doing then hot... and i mean hot, not warm. This is how i adjust mine and get very little valve chatter. -Ed Also.. do what kind of oil do you run? that will make a difference.
  19. Tell ya waht.. since your not doing it for performance.. you send me the maxima head... I'll send ya a bone stock N42 head fair swap right? -Ed
  20. Mike you do realize i run an F54 with an N42 head. so with turbo pistions i'm sure you'd be fine with low enough compression. Possibly too low as the quench area is bigger on the N42. -Ed
  21. upgrade your exhaust, and sound deaden your hood. Problem solved
  22. Labrat... Isn't that the whole point of owning a Z? or any old sports car for that matter? To feel the "rawness" of the car, not subdoed by usless sound padding or unecessary creature comforts such as cup holders. It's a sports car that beat porsches and vettes of it's day... Enjoy it for what it is, A raw, torquey 25 year old sports car. As for racing front wheel drive i honestly don't see the point. Yeah maybe you civic can run a 13, but how many times can it do it before breaking? Three of my friends had acura integras, yeah there fun and quick but you can't even hit 60 in second gear. Some of the newer models, RSX can but i still dont' see the point of turning these cars into serious race cars. If you compare apples to apples Say... a 20k front wheel drive car to a 20k rear wheel drive car, the rear wheel car is gonna be quicker and more reliable for less money. Leave the front wheel on the streets and leave the track for rear and all wheel drive. But hey.. it's not my money... do as ya wish, that's just my logic on the subject. -Ed
  23. That reminds me... if you have money to spend.. it would be sweet to see a twin cam OS Gilken setup on a turbo L28 here in the states. 8)
  24. Wow You guys arn't being too nice here. The kid has an idea... let him try it. Just because it's not typical or normal doesn't mean it wont' work. Many people have bashed my ideas on this foum before, yet i'm the only one that went out and did something. Now everybody wants my electric wipers. without trying new things how can anybody learn what might work? You think Edison invented the lightbult his first try? Yes i do think his ideas are a little crazy, but hey.. they're his ideas, and if he has the money to back it I think it would be freakn' sweet to see a sequential twin turbo l28. As for the turbo comments... anybody ever heard of Porsche? their twin turbos are sequential for a reason, small for low power, big for top end. Driftn'... you really should think before you speak on here though, you'll get alot more respect. I'd be ashame for people to think of you as a ricer.
