  1. You should be able to find the paint stripper at your local AutoZone, or at an automotive paint supply company. Or drive out to Death Valley and let the car sit for a few weeks! lol.
  2. BAMF.. All 4 are 15x12 with 4.5" back spacing. These are for the track car, but I want to put them on this Z for now.
  3. Sierra Mist. Twin turbo or Supercharged
  4. Nothing helps me relax better after a 14 hour Sunday workday, and prepare for the work week.. more than some death metal smooth jazz.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGNV23YMpok lol
  5. Funny, I just recently decided that I need to go to the Ukraine... after I saw this post..
  6. How about organization. Benches, cabinets, storage etc.. besides, the right tools are only good if you can find them. I've been meaning to do this to my house since I bought it last winter, but the projects keep stacking up, and I'd like to get the Z's out of the garage before I rip into that project. Personally I'm going to go with cheaper wooden stuff, instead of the plastic ones, because I'd like to paint it to go with whatever color I choose for the garage. The Ducati would be nice too..
  7. I ride a full carbon Kestrel Talon..
  8. A 48 year old who's taking blood pressure medicine should not be eating at a Dennys anyway. LOL.. another bunch of winners trying to get rich without doing any work.
  9. White primer on the rear, and left rear. But most of the car has.. Really thick yellow. Really thick orange. Black primer? Original blue. One application of Aircraft remover removes Yellow and orange, followed by scraping. Then the second application takes off whats left. If it were just original paint, it would remove it in less than 20 seconds. OMG.. I'm impressed with how well this stripper works, but at the same time I'm asking myself "WHY?".
  10. check the connection for the signal wire on the coil in the engine compartment.
  11. Yeah, paint shavings and acid all over! It was around 24$ for a gallon, the pic above is a qt. I might have to buy another one because of how much damn paint there is on this thing.
  12. Cutting the roof off allows you to get to the top of the roll cage to weld it.
  13. So many layers of paint.. my god.. if it were only the factory paint, I'd be done already.
  14. nah.. tree suit is better.. "Did you see who robbed the bank? Yeah, it was a tree!! Umm, how tall was the person? Well, maybe 10 feet?"
  15. Okay, something else to get me side tracked. Bought another 260Z.. Currently stripping it down to fix areas and have the thing repainted. I also just bought a set of Diamond racing 15x12" wheels today. Plans for the newest 260Z are.. -Strip off old paint -fix any rust issues. POR15 areas under body panels. -Fender flares -Fender mirrors -White body/black hood/black wheels/black mirror/black flares. meh.. side tracked again!!
  16. I miss my STi.. Well, more like I miss the components. Mostly the gear box, turbo, and unmistakable note of a subi flat 4. I miss the audible whine from the transmission tunnel from the straighter cut gears. The spooling of the turbo at low RPM's just cruising. And I really miss that sound when you're hitting 20psi and the tires are breaking loose going up the on-ramp, just to have to slow down to highway speeds.
  17. I'm pretty sure here it's payed for by the taxes that everyone pays.. Now California is a whole different story.. lol. Glad you're alright, sorry to hear you're being pegged by the Govenator!
  18. Yeah, that did it.. It seems to crank harder/faster now.. I guess a random piece of wire strung between the spades isn't the best idea. lol
  19. wow, I never knew that was there.. I looked under the plastic cover next to the battery, it says "BATT" on it, go figure.. There is a green wire, and where the black was supposed to be someone had strung some strands of wire through and twisted up to connect the circuit. What kind of connection is supposed to be in that BATT thing??
  20. Where are these fuse able links everyone speaks of. The P.O of the car said that also, but I haven't had a chance finding any on the "firewall" like he had stated. Im thinking there has to be one in the ignition system somewhere, but I cant find it.
  21. It was entertaining to me, in the way that jackass is entertaining.
  22. Wow, talk about dumb luck. The car made it over 2200miles, but today, I took a guy from work for a ride in the Z around my neighborhood and snubbed it out at a stop, and went to start it back up and had NO electrical power what so ever. The battery had power, but no power going to anything in the car. I wiggled wires around for a while until he got back with his truck to tow me home. Wow, this would have sucked if I were 1000 miles away.. omg. Any ideas.
