  1. Actually I'm a fan of getting rid of the fuseable links in place of using blade fuses. You can't find those stupid links hardly anywhere, and it's much easier to go to the local parts store and buying a box of 5 fuses for like 3 bucks. And it cleans up the engine bay. I plan on doing the same to my car soon.
  2. Putting a potentiometer on the Water temp sensor will ONLY make it richer, since it can only ADD resistance. HOWEVER. if you take off the plug going to the water temp sensor and use the potentiometer in place of the water temp sensor, as long as it has the correct range, then yes, you can tune it to be leaner or richer than what it normally would be. And I have no idea if you could do that to the AFM. I really doubt it though. So basically, deleting the water temp sensor and using a potentiometer would do exactly what you want to, without touching the stock AFM. of course, you'd be wise to have a air/fuel gauge.
  3. Don't do what woldson said. You'll burn something. Are you talking about the 4 fuseable links in those 2 boxes mounted on the fender? Those are the only ones I know of. If so, here's the ratings per year on those http://www.atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/fusiblelinks/index.html
  4. It'll make your car drive like a pig since it'll have WAY less power.
  5. haha, wow. it skips a cylinder to reduce emissions. but ALL that unburnt fuel gets dumped into the exhaust will INCREASE emissions. it's the reason why My Z wouldn't pass emissions. cylinder 3 was bleeding compression out the exhaust valve so a ton of raw gas was going into the pipe.
  6. what browser do you use? Something that might help is clearing all the temporary internet files, and the cache. I know when I have weird issues like that, clearing out those files sometimes will help.
  7. Lol I hope you're joking on that conversion Challenger. Either way, that's pretty awesome.
  8. that blue and purple you can make with a bit of voltage, tin foil, and coca cola if you didn't know. Pretty interesting and you can get a lot of neat colors with low volts. so do you weld IN the washtub? like, basically to make it so there's a zero oxygen environment so no contaminants get in the weld?
  9. I do have a couple tips Patience is KEY haha. And get used to having an empty bank account, right? Man, I just read this whole thread, and I must say the work you have done is AMAZING. It also makes me really glad to know my Z doesn't need any major body work besides replacing the passenger headlight bucket and pulling 2 dents. A bit of rust, but nothing a bit of elbow grease wont fix.
  10. Yeah haha. Roll on the Rustoleum. Apparently the stuff also sprays on great if you thin it correctly. I doubt many people would think a roller job could look decent. As for my car, i want to see what a bucket full of elbow grease and polish will do to resurrect the old paint. It sat outside for many years and dulled it badly, but if I'm lucky I might be able to bring it back to life.
  11. It took me like...8 MONTHS to get back my money from some idiot, but it was a paypal transaction and not through ebay. the guy said that he put the wrong zip, then he said he sent it, I asked for a tracking number but he said he "lost" the number. Then I called my dads place since I moved and he said no package had EVER been shipped to his house. go figure hah.
  12. I've seen 2, so I can count them with my thumbs and I'd say 10k for a bare head, no valve no cams just because of how many there probably are. Though, it would be cool to find one in an abandon shop somewhere in the countryside of japan.
  13. from your description, you probably have a slightly bent valve. When the engine is on the intake stroke, the valve opens, but sticks on the bent portion, then when the engine goes onto its compression stroke, the piston hits the valve and it goes "Pop" back into place. DO NOT start that engine back up unless you want to destroy it.
  14. My friend had a different issue with his Sentra. His sister had locked the tires and flat spotted the rear tires. No amount of balancing would get rid that horrible noise and vibration, but it might not be that.
  15. From what I understand, the short nose r200 LSD's can be swapped into the long nose r200 but you have to use a different type of CV or something...
  16. Ah, ok, I see what you mean now. Here's a parts list. if you scroll down to nissan they have all the model numbers for what they replace for what car/year/etc http://www.kaazusa.com/products/Kaaz_Product_List.htm
  17. If you read the questions he said it's a clutch type LSD and that Kaaz does not make VLSD's So it is a CLSD, which is what he would need right?
  18. Yep, the rear end of the car will love dancing side to side. But in all seriousness, we'd need more info before we can figure out what rear end and how much power you're going to have with that engine before we can help.
  19. It would take a VERY large amount of argon before you start suffocating, and by the time the argon displaces enough oxygen to make you notice, you'll know something was up and be able to leave the room to get air.
  20. I think it should be ok minus the really low compression. If you think about it, the AFM on those have a tighter spring to compensate for the boost, and larger injectors because of the boost. Without the turbo pushing the flap, the ECU would be running less fuel than normal. It would be REALLY underpowered because of the really low compression though.
  21. Wow, the FIRST tornados recorded in atlanta's history starting from 1880. THAT is insane. 29 CONFIRMED tornados as well. The worlds goin to hell haha.
  22. Psh, not really. I'm just a bit adhd and google things. Honstly I've spent 6-8 hours non-stop on wiki, reading up randomly pointless articles just because my adhd got me interested. It wasn't hard to figure it out. I image searched for a lamborghini wagon, then found a larger picture linked to a sort of blog thing, read the comments, and someone found the original.
  23. It's a photoshop. Just look at the windows. driver side retains the stock window (halfie rolldown) while the passanger is full. Also, the contach it a mid engine. Those seats, are in the location of the engine. I also found this http://www.ihatemycubicle.com/2005/03/this_day_in_his_93.html ^__^ The original picture
