he wanted to add another floor to his house, but the city wouldn't let him. He wanted this new floor for a theater, office, and bathroom. Instead of that, he dug DOWN and built a garage on top. there's a path to get underground from the garage, and from the house. The garage isn't underground, his theater, office, and extra bathroom are. But the garage is HUGE and wicked nice from the looks of it.

when pepple talk like dis it raelly makes me angery i dun get y pepple cant talk wit propr gramer and stuf liek dat. Seriously. Most of us are either IN high school, in college, graduated with degree's in everything. Why do people come in and talk like, "Hey, this is the internet NO ONE cares on the INTERNET" You know what I mean? I do slip up sometimes, I do use some improper grammar at times, but for the most part, I do care about how I type. Not out of habit, but because I know that the person that has to actually read the garbage I'm spouting, would at least be less annoyed if the garbage being spouted is written out properly.

Haha, he won't have to get noise complaints with it being underground either. All that natural insulation ^__^

That's awesome that searching for that term brings up that page. It's so perfect (wonder how many of you figured out it's not really google)

260Z being sold as a 240Z on e-Bay
m4xwellmurd3r replied to ArnZ's topic in S30 Series - 240z, 260z, 280z
Anyone else notice the missing inspection lid on the passenger side? And that's REALLY sneaky. I wonder what the title says haha (280z I bet) And that sort of explains the hood vents. they're on top of the stock vents. -
it came from someone wanting to put a 4 speed knob on a 5 speed earlier or something but I didn't quote. If it came out of a 78 then yeah, I'm pretty sure the 5 speed was standard in those, but who knows eh?

Haha, nope, because My reverse would EXPLODE if it ever managed to get into it. I have gone from 1st to Reverse in my bug. The reverse lockout plate wasn't quite right and I ground into reverse pretty bad. Not a pretty sound hearing grinding gears haha. Can't say I've ever mis-shifted in my Z yet. Actually, besides the one time I accidentally hit reverse in my bug, I've never mis-shifted. Wow.

If you can't figure it out, on ratchet style shifters, push up and it downshifts, pull back and it upshifts. Even on the H pattern it works. 1st is fast, 2nd is faster 3rd is fast, but 4th is faster Haha. When I first got my Z I had trouble finding reverse. I'm used to reverse being Left and down. on a Z it's right and down. 5th is right above reverse, so if you can't find it it probably isn't there.

It is, at first I wasn't sure but if you look behind the intake pipe going from the turbo, the exhaust is behind it. And matman, those ARE real. if you watched the north pole exploration show of Top Gear, their truck had one of those haha.

At one point they were 10k, but NOW there are NONE. zero. if you find one you could sell it for however much you want. hell, I'll bet just the head, stripped of all the valves and cams would be worth close to 10k The OS Giken head is like THE holy grail of Z cars. Everyone wants one, no one can find one for sale. I can only think of (besides that picture) One, maybe two cars that are running with it.

%$%$^#^#%$%$ wrist pin walking!!!!!!!!
m4xwellmurd3r replied to jeffer949's topic in Nissan L6 Forum
Yeah, I know what you mean. My engine will be a fresh engine, totally overhauled. And i'm going to be anal about tuning. I'm really anal about certian things, and perfect tunes is one of those things. I will also run an intercooler on mine. Basically I want the engine to be overbuilt for what I'm doing to it, to help increase that safety factor a bit, as well as make sure it's tuned the best it can be. The highest I'd ever go would be 15psi, I don't want huge power, but I do like acceleration haha. Thanks for the tips though. It won't be a while till I turbo it. I plan on sucking every ounce of power out of the stock engine by tuning it, and adding a few parts, but keeping the long block bone stock. -
Would that work though? Are the bore spacings the same on the RB head as the L-series block? same with things like the water passages and the bolt pattern. Converting the timing system wouldn't be as bad though, you can always convert the pully's to chain driven. Well, even then you COULD block off every water AND oil passage, and have all that externally routed, but I think you'd have to also add extra coolant lines to make sure it flows from the block to the head correctly, otherwise it'll disrupt the cooling and oiling flow, right?
-
Wow, so basically it's a loophole for a great deal eh? Ring land sizes, is that the depth and thickens of them? I wonder why they have things set up like that though.
-
I'd go with the turbo pump. If i remember, the turbo pump can pump more volume, which you'll probably need with the addition of your turbo to make sure nothing get's starved. I'm not 100% positive on this, so if anyone wants to chime in and yell at me go right ahead.
-
Honestly, if you need the entire ecu setup, I would say go with megasquirt. The cost of the parts new for a turbo is stupid expensive (afm's are 400 dollars if you try new, ecu's are stupid expensive too) Plus it add's in that extra tunability that will help you pull every ounce of power from your setup.

I know a guy with a pretty fast (10 second i think) turbo vw that uses an EGT sensor. he only uses one, but he's also only using one side draft delorto on his setup. just based of the exhaust temps he could figure out a lot about how the car was running. Once his EGT's were all messed up, and he said with the way the exhaust temps were, he should've been making such and such boost and such and such rpm. he found out after he pulled off all his header wraping that the humidity had rusted holes in it and it was leaking bad. I think the egt could help a lot since it's the temp of the combustion chambers, you can tell if they're too lean or rich based of temp can't you? So probably a combinatino of the average given by teh o2 and the EGT's you could tune it better eh?

installed a new engine in the 66 roadster
m4xwellmurd3r replied to coyotegary's topic in S30 Series - 240z, 260z, 280z
Psh, I've never had an AC in ANY car i've drove/ridden in. I always road around in my dad's 66 impala, 66 bug (race car) or 68 ghia. NONE had ac's and I didn't care. I had a 62 bug with no ac, and a 1990 bronco with no ac (in nc though, but I chose not to use the A/C) now I have my Z, and I drove it around for quite a bit while I was getting it running with no ac, and I don't mind haha. But maybe I'm just too used to not having an ac that I dont' care anymore. VERY nice roadster btw. -
Because you can't buy a DOHC head for a Z. If you find one I'm sure it would cost you 30k by now. that's IF you find on. I say we cast up 1 fast z's head haha.
-
Nope, I love only having 2 seats for that reason. There will always only be room for one more. I don't need anymore than that getting sick in my car when I drive. Honestly, the only graphcs i would EVER consider on a Z would be the ZXR stripes or the ZZZAP stripes. A Z's body lines needs to remain bare. Would you cover a model with perfect lines with a heavy trench coat? NO! So why do that to a Z?

Hah, I should make a sticker for the top of mine that says Fast ^ | V Faster
-
Yeah, haha, as ugly as that thing is, at least it's turbo'd. Unlike the super air chiller intake system that guy has on his hahaha
-
can I have that 280z dash o_o that thing's nicer than mine (but mine looks like it was inside the san andreas fault) the underhood light, there is an engine inspecion light on the driver side fender if that's the one your'e talking about. That is stock. Doesn't work that great though unless it's supposed to be removeable (from the looks of it it twists apart. Mine is stuck)
-
even at 149k it's only half way through it's life haha. Wish I could say that about other car's. It all depends on how much money you want to put into it.
