  1. Looks great for $400! What is on the door and hatch area? Is that primer paint? I really like the color...
  2. Those are C4 Corvette tails [84-9X, I forget which year they went square.] This guy did all of this himself, thats a welded in panel, not a part you can buy.
  3. true... that seems to be why i can't justify spending the time and money on 'real' paint job I think for me it's just carbon fiber in general on light pieces such as a spoiler or cowl
  4. I'd agree with that. This seems a little 'ricey' to me...
  5. Thats awesome! Where did you find it?
  6. Those were all the pictures I took, it was boxed in by a Z33 and a gorgeous '70 S30 on the drivers side so i couldnt get a full picture of it. I was really impressed, the guy did all of that himself.
  7. I think it's the back flares that make it look funky
  8. Well my wheel didnt shake 'excessively' but it did shake a little between 60-70 mph when one of my front bearings was going out. [i'd check the other stuff first]
  9. This is from the LeBlanc meet in Baton Rouge this spring, this is a buddy's car: He made a custom bumper, put on the 350 door handles and has C4 Corvette lights. Pretty cool for a 130.
  10. How timely! I was installing my tocikos last night and ran into the same problem, then Trumpet found this for me. Im probably going to do that... Has anyone heard stories of somehow having the car go to the full length and the springs coming off the perches? [i.e. getting the front tires off the ground while driving]
  11. Im using the non webbed only because I think it looks better. And it already had the EGR off
  12. have you checked to make sure the TB is closing all the way?
  13. oops... sorry, it must be the angle that makes it look higher.
  14. 'cause mine looks like crap... are you planning on lowering it/different springs or are the wheels too big?
  15. I bought an F1 Brand S13 11.5 lbs flyhweel on ebay that came with a 240sx stock clutch [exedy] for 280 shipped - it bolts straight to the L28 and has worked wonderfully after driving on it for several hundred miles. I know this is pretty much only useful for low horsepower applications [its a 225mm] but its going great for my car so far.
  16. Rock on! Can't wait to see videos and to hear how it drives/handles
  17. Glad to hear its running, I just wish you had a roommate and maybe a Z buddy that is always hanging out at your house to tell you to check the firing order. Cheers!
  18. Heh "no rust on the frame or rails" is probably a stretch, make sure to check the common rust areas like under the battery, under the spare tire, and right behind the doors in front of the rear tires. Good luck! [i would say 4,000 would not be a bad price for a rebuilt turbo motor car if it was done correctly]
  19. So the guy relisted the cars... look at all those slotted mags, swaztikas and black pearl rims, and that yellow hatch looks really cool. It would suck to try and see out of, but it looks neat. Come on, So Cal guys, go get some! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-Trucks___240Z-71-Crushing-30-Early-Zs-Get-yours-NOW_W0QQitemZ220300307007QQddnZCarsQ20Q26Q20TrucksQQddiZ2282QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item220300307007&_trkparms=39%3A1%7C65%3A7%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245 [sorry if it is a repost i didnt see another one tho]
  20. Hey zuper have you run the 3.9 yet? I am about to get one but im thinking interstate travel is going to blow - I run at near 3500 RPM around 75 mph and its painful now with my loud exhaust.
  21. I want to see those pictures as well! On the 60mm TB + Cable throttle swap I used one of the linkages from the mechanical setup to link the pedal to the TB. I cut off the other ball on the link, heated up the end, and bent it over to make a loop. That way it's easy to disconnect if the intake needs to come off, and there is no welding involved.
