Just like the title says, I was hoping one of you guys might have a cad file/drawing/specs for a header flange. Would really appreciate it if anyone has one, could make one, or knows where one is hiding. Thanks -Jeff

Balls joints lugs what?
sticky280zx replied to Kris.Is.Awesome's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
My autozone joints seem good and guess what...theyre lifetime warrantied, doesnt get much better to me. I mean what if they are crap and wear out in 2 years, well i get a new set and just have to take off the old (which i would have to do nomatter what "brand") so works for me and im pretty sure they were only 30-40 bucks for both. -
That car is kinda rusty from what i have seen, if you look thru the for sale side of things i have 2 shells (one silver and red) and they are both rust free (one small spot on the red pass floor). But are in better shape than that austin car, i had him send me pics and its got alot from being by the coast. Let me know im in dallas, and the cars are 1k-1250 and just need motor/trans (i also have a hopped up motor thats connected to a 5 speed i could sell with them. -Jeff

Those cars you are talking about are the 4k+ on craigslist cars, the ones members are talking about are the beat up good for daily driving, 3-4-5 owners, never going to be restored cars. Thats why they sell for 1k- and yours are 3k+

No need for a jig when everyone runs a different setup, now if everyone ran a gt3076 or something similar with the same piping, wastegate, A/c or not, Right or left hand drive....blah blah blah. There are wayyyy too many variations and what will be best is someone that has a good price, and can produce them. And doing so on an individual basis is the best you can get, which is what I am doing, the issue with doing it one by one is most shops wont do it for anything under 1k like youve gotten quoted because "its not a b series honda" and they dont think the demand is there.

Yes any "tubular" manifold will flow better than stock but if you look the first two cylinders are a Log style, thus making the 5th a different and unequal length, not trying to put you down but this is what i was trying to stay away from. Hence me not saying anything in this thread, i was waiting to see a real design before commenting/buying. Also this is one of those "looks like it was made in a garage" pieces, i mean it is a decent design but the whole point of doing a tubular manifold is just that =Not log and equal length.

Dave just drop it off at my house and we'll work something out lol but seriously ur making me go into debt, im realllly wanting this shell. I have a nice motor that will go in very easily and be plenty of fun. Plus i think we need to keep it in dallas.

Rota RB/RB-R, 4x114.3, 17", Z-Offset Wheels
sticky280zx replied to rudypoochris's topic in Group Buys
Kim is a rep at the company, a HUGE company...this is nothing like "justin/280zforce" that was an individual trying to make products for himself and sell extras produced at the same time on the side (ie his own company). -
Joel ive been following this thread since its birth, waiting on something to even happen. It is now almost two years later and nothing at all but a big mess. Please remember the first post on "another guys thread" and the fact that all "that guy" did was send a simple email. He didnt give them a header, didnt even try to make this group buy work, looks to me like he sent an email then asked for someone to take his place or Make something happen. He was smart in that fact or maybe just didnt realize it, but he saved himself the headache that way and it looks like other members took the lead and ended up getting the shaft from ssac, who is a horrible company to buy from or deal with, not to mention got to keep a header that everyone said they would pitch in on and never got this to go anywhere. Also inform yourself of the group buy rules .... "Please limit the length of the threads and the TIME for GP to 90 days. If you can't pull together your deal or offering within that limited about of time, you probably don't want to have a group buy. If we see threads start to go down this path, they will be locked. PLEASE follow these rules closely." Now like i said i have a group buy going that WILL have a good price, be made of quality material, and maybe even have multiple/different runs... if people will sign up or add their names to the list, unlike this thread which has gone to 18 pages and almost two years and HASNT been locked yet....mind telling me why, because according to the rules unless its in production or being sold this thread should have gone bye bye over a year and a half ago. So please if you are interested in a turbo header and want one see my thread, but please dont post useless info/opinions and junk up either thread. Lets let this one die like it should have long ago Thanks -Jeff

Make one if you like, Guys i could make one for everyone but heres why i wont. 1. Liability 2. Headache 3. Cost 4. Time 5. Special stuff/extras I mean i could really go on and on...but i will say this. I am tired of this thread and will be making a new one and having this one ditched (by the mods hopefully). This is for a group buy, ITS REAL i have the guy looking through pics, now i will say i have narrowed it down to a few and will be uploading the new thread soon, and this WILL happen this time but it WILL also be a nice and quality piece so PLEASE expect to pay a decent price. I wouldnt make these for free (for all the reasons above and then some) and neither would any of you, or we would have these already lol so please bare with me and my guy and we will get these out ASAP just need to firm up pricing and pick a manifold everyone will like.

You live in the neighborhoods by them lol tell ur neighbors to buy em

I typed up a big long answer but it didnt work so i will say this..."a bird in the hand is better than 2 in the bush." I will say that i bought a set of pistons for a good price (2 yrs ago when the market was up) and sold them now for the same price. When i bought them i thought "wow a good price and if i turbo my car these will work great" two years went by and my car isnt turbo so i figured i could use the cash and figured that it would help the other guy out....and to me thats exactly what this forum is about...Helping people out. But whether or not you keep them remember they are only worth what someone will pay so any of you saying KEEP them theyre worth so much, would you buy them from him right now? If so then there you go sell for their listed price, if not then put a decent price on them (since they arent just bolt on and go, and alot are selling for 700-850 lately so maybe 1k at most with all the parts) But keep in mind and remind anyone buying them that they have been sitting and probably need a rebuild. I will also say that when my dad bought his motor (a robello stroker) it came with tripples and everything ready to drop into the car. It had been in a storage unit for 6months to a year and a 510 guy wasnt using it so he spit out "come by with a grand cash and you can take it" Ofcourse we jumped all over it (as used robellos go for 2-4k and new are 5k+ ....its not always about getting what you can out of it especially if youre not using them.

Dave Call me if you are serious about this. Also this car used to be a show/track car and still looked great when he took it off the road. I too think that you need to just put a motor in it (even if its not an ls) Come on dave youre going to regret selling it or miss it if you do.
