HAHA well maybe i am uptight with a son on the way,but a motocross wreck isnt anywhere near as bad as rally (proven by stats) but then again most "wrecks" happen at 20mph or less especially in a stadium vs 40mph to 100mph+ in a small car rolling over and over. Most of my buddies, family, and me included have ridden motorcycles, dirtbikes, etc and i can promise you my kid at 8-10 on a 50cc might break an arm,rib,leg but not die from hitting a tree/rolling a car 10+times

you can make some out of home depot flat stock and just drill for bolts etc and make brackets for $15-20 or weld em up for about the same price

yes 280z is "carpeted" instead of having the vinyl, also more to remember is shape and they vary, as well as different size trans tunnels etc, You should always buy what is for your car model when it comes to upholstery kits because of the length,tightness/fit.

I know youre profoundly jealous of my uttermost awesomeness, But moral police is just as "correct" as morality police. You should know that morality is a form of moral so it is saying exactly the same thing, I chose to use the shortened version. -15 pushes it towards the fender (left of center on the wheel from behind) +15 would be toward the strut tower, right of the center of the wheel from behind. And on 16inch its about the same 265-285 with a 40-50 profile a quick tire rack search would help find tires. Also i dont know if youve looked but we have some group buy wheels that would fit very well in the Group Buy section.

Please ditch the chick and get a cheap mount, works alot better and alot quieter

yea the back would definately need work since i would hope that whenever i took the car out thats what people would be seeing =)

275/40/17 for the tire, if you have a an 8-8.5 width wheel a -35 or even -40 will fit under a flared car with a very nice fit. The only thing you have to worry about is the backspace as in too + ...as in it hits/rubs the shock tower. But under a stock body z i would say an 8inch wheel +4 to -15 will fit, now 8.5 would need to be 0 to -5 on the small/strut side and maybe -10 or so on the bigger lip/fender side. heres the issue guys, you are looking at +35 offsets when you shouuuulllddd be looking for -35 offsets

I myself love this angle, delete the tach and some of the other holes/black pieces and it really wouldnt look bad

on the 280z's the hatch looks like this 280z Datsun But thats on the passenger side and the datsun is at an angle (best i rememeber) You can always call MSA during hours and they can tell you though. -Jeff

i have some turbo wheels as well and they are 15x7 i wouldnt bulge those slicks on those flakes, normally a 215 is a much as you want on that 6" rim.

i say you buy some black clothing and face paint

sounds great pete, i was going to the track day but had to go out of town, i am all for organizing and promoting events the issue with me is im so far away from where ya'll meet i hate going all the way out there just to chat you know. But i do think that the "word getting out" is most of the problem but there also are alot of Z/ZX guys in north dallas that just dont know about the clubs or get out to them for the same reason as me, when i live 45mins away i dont want to drive all the way out there but for sure shoot me an email and maybe we can figure something out. I think youre the closest guy to me and your 20 mins away in grapevine.

why swap then? if you have a stock motor its either 8-3-1 (early n42 L28) or 10-1 (later f54 L28)or so already with the flattops...unless you have the 7-3-1 turbo motor...But i have a Nice blue dash if youd be interested, but being as its in great shape im not just letting it go, Makes the car look alot better though =) shoot me a pm or email me at DatsunDriver88@hotmail.com thanks -Jeff
