Frankly Whoring up a section/Using up bandwith (ofcourse more than you paid for) with 20 INDIVIDUAL ads EVERY week so that you take up the whole front page because you cannot control yourself enough to make One or Two threads and list EVERYTHING in them, Is pretty shitty and i would think that maybe thats why this thread is in place. To keep this forum from becoming a shitehole like zilvia and the likes by post whoring, spamming, etc...i hate to say it because i really do like this site, but i think clasic does a good job with their classifieds because they watch over them alot more (but they also dont have as much traffic as here). Heres a splendid idea for people that cant fall in line and grow up, or atleast respect everyone else, How about you start donating 10-20% of all the stuff you sell to the forum for all the space, headache (for people searching), and bandwidth that you are repeatedly using. Since im pretty sure that the money we donate goes to the site not to just have the privilege to post, its to cover the sites cost and weed out (some of) the idiots, spammers, and people who abuse their "privilege" that they "paid" for. I would hate to get into the political crap but unless this is controlled its the same "war/takeover without one shot fired" as immigration is in the US. They feel they should have the privilege and dont care about anyone else...unlike some just trying to sell extra parts, NOT make their living off of junkyard parts or stripping cars.

heres the easy way, register it like you would any other car and just pay the 15$ for a simple safety only, beep beep inspection every year and go on. Dont worry about all that classic crap especially if you dont know what you are doing and are going to be driving it regularly.

Old Wheels...still in demand?
sticky280zx replied to sticky280zx's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
well guys i only really have a few sets on the list that are 4 lug...alot of the 15-17x10 are 5 lug but most of the four lug stuff is 15x8 BUT alot of them are Reversed/biiiigggg negative offset, If you can guys email me...i get them easier/daily and can communicate easier through there. Datsundriver88@hotmail.com But there are some good wheels on the list just not alot of huge 4lug stuff, But there are some and like i say these are old school so not alot of huge wheels i even have 13s and 14s x7 or x8 on here lol great 510 wheels. S130- I actually have those in 17x10 -offset but theyre 5lug, most of the 4 lug is x7 or 8 and either regular/0 offset or reversed/-offset (think negative 20-30) -
Can you please post up facts...how many cars have you had with welded diffs, also how much more life do you think you would get out of those tires when his car has a V8 and only one tire spins? Also "just go with a r200 out of some kinda nissan blarggg" isnt very helpful, he says he can search and he needs alot more than just a dif. Please be more specific on suggestions and get back with me on the "welded difs ruin tires" story you have going.

Z manco, im with you, i can get the same wheels in a size that fit stock body, but the big wheels are flashy and its all the rage. research hellaflush, fatlace, drifting, etc all the ''cool'' kids are putting huge wheels with tiny tires, and even bags so it goes low and has a tinnnny smidge of clearance from rubbing. But like you stated, id rather get an 8 and run 225-255s instead of a 9.5 with a 205-225 just doesnt make sense to me, not to mention the curbrash, potholes, etc that will eat/kill the wheels with that sninny of a tire stretched on it.

amen...little side story...I LOOOOVVVVEEEE old vettes, and after looking around my woman says "i want a stingray...BAD" (this is october-winterish) then when the weather got better this year and there are tons of them running around with old men driving them (ofcourse) and many at car shows, she says "nevermind ill stick with the 280, everybody already has a stingray," I personally like the first of the vettes but stingrays are alright, only thing is like her and many others, i like being unique and driving a nice Z gets alot of turned heads as well. But everyone knows what a stingray, mustange, etc but i love when people ask...."what kind of car is that?"

I think kicking ads after 30 days is a good idea (other sites use this), Also i think that a Once a month is junk because i do get cars/parts and if i can only list once a month that would be rediculous to me. Maybe 5 a month (thats one a week and plenty in my opinion), But people that say "when in rome" and are just as bad as those breaking the rules and try to justify it as "hey theyre all doing it why shouldnt i"...I myself would grow up and worry about myself not stoop to their level. As well as that same person having many posts with only a few items/single items in each thread...hypocritical to say the least just like the "rome" statement. I used to think that this section waas a great resource at hybridz...i think that it needs to be rethought. This isnt craigslist, and if people go to a junkyard every week and just grab junk then throw it on here it clutters things, LEAVE that to the WTB threads in my opinion. If people cant find it they post there, then by all means take your junkyard parts and refurb/sell them on there. Some people actually are moving their personal parts, extras, and parting their cars out...not just passing along junkyard finds. If you want to do that by all means go to that yard everyweek or whatnot and take pics of all the cars/parts, and have people contact you, and be a third party that way instead of cluttering up the for sale section. Also CRAP titles like "s30 parts" "more s30 parts" "yet more s30 parts" i mean really make one thread not 3 and if you are going to make a ton of threads atleast specify what is in them. Funny how theres about 28 threads on the front page, and there are "people" with 1/4 or more of those slots and many of them being SINGLE ITEM POSTS. Please dont think I am throwing anyone under the bus (even though i did quote a member) but there are atleast 3-4 people i would loooove to bet do just what i stated above, either that or they part out a car every week as their income. But i will say there are people with tons of parts that dont clutter the threads, act like adults, are great to deal with, and only post when they absolutely need to get rid of a huge inventory....like BURLEIGH ,blackicezxt , and others that do a great job of what i think is some of the best for sale posters.

Fo Sho....dont be scared mister you can run a 195 on a 10" if you are brave enough lol Here let me try and break it down...that 215 is a good "flush" fit on a 7inch, sidewall is 70% of width (225mm X .70 =157.5mm in english lol 6.2007874 inches plennnty of stretchy-ness not big but click it Remember that slammed car that was in all those blogs that everyone hates....look at how small of a sidewall he has on his width...more sidewall=Leww butt puckering, its softens the bumps and all that and less prone to pop off "My wheels up front are 15×10J – 10 offset and they required 15mm wheel spacers (Project Kics) to clear the tie rods. The tires mounted on the front are 205/50/15 (Azenis RT615)."

225/50R15 with 15X8 wheel. will rub or not?
sticky280zx replied to jcote75's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
Broham....i think you should step up to a 15x8 and go with a nice 245/60/15 =) might have to raise the back up a bit....Orrrrr you can go with a 235 and play it safe....and alot cheaper =) http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSearchResults.jsp?width=235%2F&ratio=60&diameter=15&x=46&y=8 -
I think he meant MAX...ps most of the wheels that came with these cars. 14x6 +10 are right around 3.5 bs...with flares a 3.5-4.5 BS on a 10" wheel looks damn good. But on the other side of things, i think that like he and others have stated 8" is about as big as it gets under the "everything stock" as far as body/suspension, and can be place pretty well with a low + offset even with small spacers, but with coils people have fit 8.5"...just keep looking around.
-
Haha he just needs to get some 50 series tires =) and give those big stock honking 70's a rest...i can say that i can slam the crap out of a car (horrible camber unless you use plates) and have 15x8 -20 or so wheels with 225-50's and they will NEVER rub
-
Here you go....get ready for your butt to pucker... http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Bridgestone&tireModel=Dueler+H%2FL+400&partnum=17HR7HL400&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes or if you are realllllly brave and like cheap =) http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Kumho&tireModel=Solus+KR21&partnum=075TR5KR21 ohhh and you might want to make sure your suspension is pretty stiff
-
Might want to look for a new body if its so bad....maybe a coupe this time =) ??? i cant tell untill all the bondo is gone, but i would bet that patching even 5-10 spots would be alot better option that cutting the whole rear of the car.
