  1. I dont think you are going to find 30 people wanting new glass at the same time lol I think you would have to be the "supplier" and hold onto them, but to be honest i think alot of people would rather go the junk yard and just grab one.
  2. First....i would get the 16x8s and stick with tokico illuminas all over and USE their springs. That will give you a big enough drop especially since they are a 16 vs your stock 14s. Any lower whether its tokico or stock springs you cut and you will have camber wear issues. SO then you would be buying 400+ in camber plates lol.Eibach springs will run almost 200, so you need to either be happy with an inch or little more of drop or think about going coilovers, or running camber plates.
  3. ive got one in the classifieds, but its not close, stupidly cheap (although it is still), and has a stock/rebuilt motor/trans
  4. Just like he said if you go bigger you'll need long lugs, and spacers, or else you stay stock and just rebuild those and do a little surface grinding so that they dont rub at all
  5. this is why i made the thread, look at the few above and let me know, i have a few more i will post as well...i also have alot of other sizes just need to know what people want...i have 14's 15x7, 17x10, 22's lol seriously i have a 13 page list but was mainly focusing on the 15x8 sizes with either good stock body offsets or these BIG offsets, like tiny 2.5"backspacing on 8" (9" wide technically) wheels! i have access to some 5 lug as well...what kind of offset would you need though? also i posted pics of a few of the styles so anyone like those up there i have a few others but not a huge list, maybe 5-10 styles and a few sets of each lol and hey man i got these gangster ones for 5 lug =) or on a serious note how bout these here bad boysss...lips like angelina jolie
  6. Mk well like i said...always make sure its all the same size...if you have a Gasket matched/ported head...wouldnt make much sense if you didnt port the Manifold going to them?? Think of a vacuum with a tube attachment (since your engine is sucking air in the intake, and pushing it out the exhaust) now make your thumb&pointer into a circle (think OK sign) and block the ridge....makes no sense to port the suction part for more air when you have to suck it through a smaller hole. PortMATCH everything
  7. Well guys i got mixed up in a few things and since i already do alot of stock wheel refinishing, i have an inside shot at buying ALOT of Brand New in Box old school wheels (im talking 10-20+ sets),alot of which are discontinued and ofcourse i wanted to share with you guys since these wheels fit our cars/datsuns...and carolla's as far as fitment. Now what im looking at are alot of 15x8 and maybe bigger (overall and width) but i happen to like that size, cheap tires, and fit nicely on our cars. Now i know there are alot of options but i figure im not alone on liking the old school style since hell these cars are from the 70's But again correct me if i am wrong. I will post a few options, just kindof want to know if people would be interested. Mods if this is more of a non-tech then by all means move it, just figured since they were wheels i would put them here. Guys these are all brand new wheels and these are just random photos so i can get actual photos if i have enough people interested. These would be around 400-600 or so a set, THEY ARE NIB so please remember that when considering the price. And also some fit stock body and some will be for flared cars....and ofcourse some BIGGGG lips (ie... 2.5" bs = 6.5" on the other side of the wheel)so Biggg Lippssss are very possible. Obviously there are more styles and some will people will like more than others but just looking to see interest on these.
  8. i can definately show you some insider options that i have on wheels and the rear end as well...shoot me an email (datsundriver88@hotmail.com) and i can give you my number. Im by 635 and 35 in farmers branch/carrollton area, so we can definitely get together and go over the options and id love to check out that zx -Jeff
  9. Id use some 2x3 14gauge for your new rails, its what ive done many times and not only comes out great but adds alot more strength and as an added bonus you can Definitely jack the car up by them.
  10. hey man I live in san antonio and I want to find a good rolling chassy. I have a running car but the cancer on the bottom makes it not worthwhile to fix. DO you have any rust free shells? I live in san antonio but I can borrow a truck from a buddy and coem get one in a month or so (need extra money for the drive and trailer)

  11. With customs and shipping prices i think the post above, about selling it for 2-2500 locally would be your best bet, and a damn good price really.
  12. Most all of their kits like many others are a pain to fit, just because they make it off of one car (who knows if it had been wrecked or whatever else in its life, then its going on yours...which could have the exact same problems. Take your time and be very patient, and remember you cant add as easy as you can take away so trim carefully. Or if you cant/dont want to mess with it you can roll your dice with a body shop, just make sure they have done MANY kitted cars before and still do great work.
  13. find a shop and have them do them for you after you measure and cut them, bet at most theyd charge you $20 to weld everything...hell i know if i went to a paco exhaust shop with a pack of caronas someone would do it real fast just have it precut and such so they just have to weld it.
  14. just FYI i have done many floors and pans for people shoot me a pm or email when you get ready, most shop quotes ive heard are outrageous, even with me flying out somewhere and charging them my rate its normally alot cheaper than a shop.
  15. Id say its time to face the music and swap the r180 for a bigger stronger r200 and throw a 5 spd or the t5 back in there. Also i know a few guys that rebuild trannies around here for 3-500 but then again why not just buy a used one for 150-200? lemme know if you are looking for one as i have a few extras and lines on t5's if you want another one. -Jeff
  16. buy some cheap fabric and make you a shifter boot, nice and cheap
  17. Also just figured id mention this, but most people dont "install" the gasket wrong, they dont follow the "procedure" correctly, like torque sequence and stats, then retorque everything after X amount of time or X amount of a heat cycle. Do a search or buy a good book.
  18. Theres also atleast 2-3 in finland, and ive got one going to holand as well soon enough =) Im here in texas, in the states and have been shipping cars over there through "halmari" for a few years now. I love to see the cars going somewhere where they are rare and people doing them up nicely so other people will always be asking...what kind of car is that. Good luck with your build and if you need anything shipped (parts or cars) let me know as i get great prices since i have done business with that company many times. -Jeff
  19. Also please tell him next time to take the extra 30 mins and drop the tank to get that passenger bumper shock out. Overall looks like a nice car and 3500-4k would be a good price if it has little-no rust and runs well, no oil burning, hiccuping, etc
  20. I can probably get you a nice clean one for 300 or less + shipping, so 3-400 total, there really isnt anything like original (im no purist) it just looks so much better than a cap. Plus while it might be cheap to do a 240sx dash its ALOT of work, search in here for it. But caps are cheap, just get a full cap if you go that route because the 1/2 caps look...well 1/2 ass
  21. Well im going to try this again... When you do any kind of porting it is wise (should be done this way) to use a gasket to match it to....doesnt matter if its square, round, oval, etc as long as it matches the gasket because obviously it is all about flow.
  22. i got one used or new, and have shipped overseas many times. Just shoot me an email @ datsundrvier88@hotmail.com thanks -Jeff
  23. I have one pm me or email me at datsundriver88@ hotmail.com ill shoot you a pic, mine has the same numbers as your wanting
  24. I have a kit that was in the back of one of my cars, even has a speedo cable...ill sell it for 175 shipped. paypal is jeffdahot1@hotmail.com
