  5. i got a nice metal louver if your interested. email me at datsundriver88@hotmail.com and i can get you pics
  6. 30 smackers and i can have it out tomorrow =)
  7. well if you really want to drive ive got a perfect shell for you. email me @ datsundriver88@hotmail.com and i can get you pics, etc
  8. On a side not, Cowtown does need to step it up and get some actual events and fun stuff going instead of acting like the other old z clubs around and meeting for dinner and budget crap. We own Z's now lets drive em. On the ticket thats gayyyy but rules are rules now if you were in the very last spot i doubt they could say anything (backed in) but if you were in the middle of the lot....your dealing with "campus cops" theyre the ones that got picked on just like the real cops, but couldnt get the real badge.
  9. That is what i was thinking, dont care if its cheap, or lasts 10 years, you still have to start with perfect paint....which is why i was thinking "why did this idiot take a nice new blue (perfect paint) BMW and do that *** 'fad' to it." Oh well to each his own i guess
  10. That is exactly what i have a problem with, First off if you know what you are doing it doesnt take forever and i can promise you with my efi motor and some very cheap upgrades (that get rid of the JUNK in the engine bay) it will make plenty more than 5-10 hp, also i dont know if you've heard of him but BRAAPPP and other great old minds on this site have showed/proven that there are 8-3-1 stock block cars that with boltons will make more hp than a 10-1 modified swap/setup because of the compression not being able to take timing (which is shown multiple times in this thread) which costs you more HP than the few little bumps of comp ratio. Hope you do more research on this site instead of "being too lazy."
  11. hurry up and get a rag under that before your wife comes after you man.
  12. I hate to say it but my centerforce stuff lined right up with my fidanza...but i got the dual stage which on an N/A car should be fine, might not hold forever on a turbo/roadrace car though.
  13. i have a clean running driving 76z thats in great shape, has a 5speed and other upgrades including suspension/wheels/tires and im looking for around 3500 or 3k without the wheels. Also i know alot of people look at the early cars cause of weight but by the time you add later suspension/better braking, bigger r200 rearend, 5speed, parts/interior availability, the later cars are less of a headache (swapping everything) and the weight ends up being pretty damn close.
  14. its the bajillion holed one, thats like infinately adjustable.... ill get a pic
  15. meaybe leave the link up for the rest of us so we can check the car out?
  16. I've got a perfect rust free shell, but from what i noted from his emails is he wants one with everything redone (ie rotted shell that had things replaced. My shell with a cage/rollbar installed would be far better, and alot cheaper than a car with over 2k worth of floor/frame repair. But what do i know i just have one of the most rust free shells out there but nobody wants to pay a reasonable price for it. Im not letting a perfect rust free roller (needing panels put on and motor/trans in) go for $500...you cant even buy replacement floor pans and rails for under 1k, Im asking and been asking 1500 for one of the few rust free (EVERYWHERE, floors, rails, rockers, rear 1/4's, ETC) cars that ive even seen or known of that if it had the panels, a cheap stock swap, and paint, would sell for 5-7k+ it just baffles me. Oh well you get what you pay for and people want CHEAP off the bat then figure out that "cheap" car ends up costing you more and more and more over time.
  17. Welp I'm with J...time for a new shell. I got a perfect chassis for you (or anyone) if you want to take a trip to texas lol really all the nice cars are inbetween here and cali but only other ones are in garages and most of the ones between texas and cali are/were in garages forever as well.
  18. haha that guy could fix the car with the 240 sitting beside it lol im pretty sure he has other reasons for wanting to get rid of it.....heres a nicer example for cheaper/same price http://dallas.craigslist.org/ndf/cto/1668295048.html
  19. It was very nice, was going to be in a magazine till my dad put it around a tree, then he bought another one and we were swapping everything over to it. Needless to say there was alot of my blood, sweat, and tears in that car and i didnt want to help him build another car and the same thing happen so he's on his own this time lol. plastic 1/4 louvers and rear, and yes type 2 kit, 3.1 robello with trips under the hood...heres the aftermath thread http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php?/topic/84536-this-should-make-you-sickcustom-280zx-totalled/
  20. i got a nismo cam gear for 100 shipped to ya
  21. I understand about the look, i just had alot of money in the car and didnt want to spend another fortune on nice size/fit wheels and the car (imo) was too nice for a set of steel wheels (but they are nice wheels and great price). But the tires are 275/40/17 rear and 235/40/17 front and i think they were toyo proxes T1R's.
  22. I have them. im pretty sure i have the full set but definately the fronts
  23. Just fyi you can do the 9.5 backs and 9 fronts from the group buy on the zx and they have the best look/fit (out of the box on just a shock/spring car). Going off of my old zx that had illuminas all the way around with msa sway bars and eibach springs. Heres some pics
  24. Let me make a simple statement...If you look at your z and zx side by side you will notice the z is alot smaller in the wheel well department because the zx has a sort of "built in flare" which is why the big 17x9.5 group buy wheels fit fine where as on a z they require flares. Here is the sad truth, You almost HAVE to buy 2 sets unless your z is flared. I have found that a nice set of 15x8 with a -13 to -18 offset is about the sweet spot on a lowered/rolled z but also can only run 225-235/50/15 tires on (which is low so the speedo is off) great for get up and go but not good on the highway, But you can always stretch a 215/60-70/15 on it as well for better ratio. Also that same set of wheels on a zx doesnt fit so well BUT you can put a fat 255-60-15 tire on it for a nice all around ratio as well as great contact patch. Worst part is if you keep both cars stock body and want good fitment you will have to get two sets or atleast be flipping between two sets of tires all the time. Hope this helps. -Jeff
  25. hey mike i might be interested in yours if you end up getting a new one. -Jeff (over in plano with the white/blue/silver Z (depending on which of the 3 you remember lol)
