  1. Please post all the great old school wheels, and maybe a site that has them decently priced. I will start with http://japanesenostalgiccar.com/forum great site and alot of wheels, but will a 13 inch rim fit our cars?
  2. i know a guy here in texas has one for sale.....check dallas craigslist under 240z and itll be in "wylie" its an orange parts car
  3. dont think id stick my 9year old in that one....looks like it would roll and i wouldnt want my kid in a chair for the rest of his life....id look for a 1 seater shift cart style like that one with a bigger wheel base/slick wheels for pavement (so it loses traction and slides if anything) or a biggun 2seater with a roll cage setup
  4. if you can get some pics/measurements i can prolly make one up pretty cheap
  5. well if you change the ll's to "rv" then you got exactly what id want, zo6 version please. jk but shes cute like most all babies, im hoping to have one in a few years after all the fun financial stuff gets a little better. good luck
  6. Also have you heard the horror stories about fitment on them, some say theyve gotten better but again, the prices are high and "who wants to deal with them" defintely comes to mind. Last time i dealt with them i waited almost 6 weeks for a 3k order (because they were waiting on all the parts to be there at the same time) i mean really? Since when do you do that? I know they did it because i already paid and they didnt want to be out the extra 10 bucks to ship a few parts seperately (had the steering wheel i was waiting on sold out from under me twice because after they had it they didnt have a gasket, sold the wheel and got the gasket a week later) talk about not knowing your ass from a hole in the ground.
  7. Rear tire's/// this will easily fit under those back flares 255/60/15 http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSearchResults.jsp?width=255/&ratio=60&diameter=15&startIndex=0&search=true&pagelen=20&pagenum=1&pagemark=1&RunFlat=All and there should be enough space for this big boy out back if u want a fatty 275/60/15 http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSearchResults.jsp?width=275/&ratio=60&diameter=15&startIndex=0&search=true&pagelen=20&pagenum=1&pagemark=1&RunFlat=All and a nice size front tire http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSearchResults.jsp?width=235/&ratio=60&diameter=15&startIndex=0&search=true&pagelen=20&pagenum=1&pagemark=1&RunFlat=All
  8. where are you at in tx? i can fab/weld one up pretty cheap just would need the car or measurements
  9. Wheel fitment was almost perfect on my dads car when we installed them. 9 up front and 9.5's in the back, but he has no coils just running tokico 5ways all around and eibach springs with some thick eibach sways. Also this was on 275/40/17 and 235/40/17 tyoko sdrive tires. -Jeff
  10. i have a flat top bottom end complete and ready to go im looking to get rid of if youre interested
  11. pics of ya'lls mods? i am restoring an 81 for my sister and have a nice 83 body so far ive got the hatch swapped (old one was hit) and the hood (cause it looks better). Also the 81 is primer black and the donor/83 is gloss so i like the shiny/flat contrast so i figured id go ahead and swap the bumpers as well if they were a simple bolt one cause theyre nice and glossy as well as the "chrome" on the stock 81's is kinda crappy/scratched. thanks -Jeff
  12. i hear you man....my pirelli's are crap, even with the 225's on the 8wides and plenty of contact patch some places were definitely better than others (more sloshy better donuts) and others like that warehouse (completely frozen) id get a running start on the melted half thru second or so then BAM...turn wheels, grab handbrake, drop it back down as i pop the clutch and throttle away =) not many times in texas when you get to do all that, especially and not get hassled by the cops.
  13. yeaaaaa got a little snow, alot of ice/sleet....so heres some lovely throttle control from yours truely and the daily beater, along with a nce 360 inspired by "the italian job" that we watched last night. sorry about having to turn your head and the grainy cell video dOnuts little rolling 360 spins
  14. i have a set of "tomei" forged that i bought from a member on here that he said he ordered to fit our cars. shoot me an email if youre still interested datsundriver88@hotmail.com
  15. dont know if he's still got it but he was selling one a little while back
  16. that G on bags makes me wet...look at the touuuuch of the lip =) sadly this reminds me of the vdub guys that really make me want one just for the flushness
  17. like i said man, buy the premade stuff and mig welding will do just fine. but find somone that can weld/knows what theyre doing and needs some cash and offer em a couple hundred a side and youre good, its the rails i would be worried more about and thats why i say "someone that can weld/knows what theyre doing." And like your buddy said, spend the cash like that on other stuff not a cut and paste floor job. Hell if you want some floors you shoulda bought my shell as well and if need be steal the floors/ rails out of it for that price =)
  18. I would be a whoolllle lot more interested if you yourself made it as we all know what we can expect from paulo on a few things atleast. I would rather have a NICE whole carbon one as well, especially with the weight savings but would want it to look GREAT not just a "here its light and you can paint over it" kindof part. and would love it if you would have a quality clear that wouldnt peel or fade and could look great as a "show" spoiler. Thanks for getting this going, we need a quality composite guy in the z world like we have all hoped for, for years now! -Jeff
  19. my car starts up great the first time everytime, and this is how the engine bay looks, that was before some tucking/zx rad /twin fans and some other small stuff but you get the effect and i have no issues cold starting/ restarting/ first start of the day, nothing at all.
  20. You sent me an email and i responded but i still have the shell and its for sale, Just need you to let me know. Its the cleanest one you will find in dfw i can promise that but it is a shell not a daily without a motor/trans, but then again i have one of those as well. =) -Jeff
  21. not to be crappy but im pretty sure that is a "paulo" part that the company named gets from him....be forewarned about him by doing a search and his not so rave reviews. Not trying to discredit zccjdm at all, the fellow who owns/runs it i have talked to a few times and is a REALLY stand up guy....i just dont want him catching flack because I know for a fact back when i bought all of my carbon from paulo he told me about this as well as sent me pics of it. Just be careful and do your homework, and ask others who own it about quality/finish/fitment and any issues. But yes it looks great
  22. mhm thats what i was about to say....mmmmm rootbeerrr
  23. Yea but how much was the car, welder, ect that it took you to fix it? Vs. paying 600 or so on shipping...i think alot of us have figured its easier to swap interiors/motors and even drivetrains than having to cut/patch/weld an entire car thats falling apart...not to mention yet again the costs of pans/rails...
  24. well yes, but more than likely the best/most often route would be...attempt to do it yourself Buy car...???-???? Welder...300(crap) - 500+(hobart/lincoln self feed mig w/ gas option) Panels...300(used)-1k+(nissan, 400 or so for the last fender i bought) Sheet/scrap metal....50-250 (you have to Learn/practice welding) Grinder...25(electric)-200(air) Discs...20-50 Air Comp (if you dont have one)....150-350+ Not even going to go into if you get someone to do it for you..probably 500+ on that cars unibody in just the labor. And i know ive done the cutting out/welding of floor pans/rails for $300 on a few friends zcars, not counting the 4-500+ they spent on the premade panels and rails. Also not going into the ease/less cost when it comes to prep work/having somone paint it later...especially if you want it good quality. There are 1000's of variables but heres what i learned. Bought a car for 1200 (rusty/parts car now), only reason i paid so much is because it was a daily and everything worked (yes even the clock and a/c). (ill take some pics tomorrow of how horrible it is) But in that price came a turbo motor and the car with some extras,to make back some of the money (like a real 3piece spoiler and other small things). But when i took it to a body shop and they looked at the rust they said over 3k to blast it, fix the rust (even with tabco patch panels, etc) and have it ready for paint....That is not something you want to hear when you just graduated high school and was hoping to have a decently nice car to drive around/to work/college/etc.I have learned it is MUCHHHH better to pay 1-2k for a nice car/ roller and an engine/trans is alot cheaper than if it runs great but is rusty as hell. Just something to keep in mind and think about.
