  1. Yeah I came home from the drags tonight with my girlfriend and as I turn down my road there was another car coming at me. Didnt think nothing of it but as it passed me I heard a splat! I just though maybe I hit a big swarm of bugs or maybe a bird or something, so I just keep driving. Then when I got home I looked at my truck and sure enough some mother F'er shot my truck with paint balls!!!! That really pissed me off So I hope back in my truck to go look for these little bastard but I couldnt locate them. All I know is they better hope I never find out it who it was, cause I always get the last laugh!!!!! GOD DAMN I PISSED RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guy P.S. Sorry I had to vent!
  2. Sounds good! I really appreciate the help. I just dont know where to connect these things. I figure since you made yours you would have a good idea on where I should connect mine. Thanks a lot! Guy
  3. Well my teachers at the Tech College are always saying how important it is to follow the diagnostic aids for solving problems on cars... Here's one that my teacher gave as a hand out! Guy
  4. After I replace all my bushings on my 280ZX, I could notice right away that my car's steering response was much quicker and it didnt "shake" any more at higher speeds(through the steering wheel). Of course I did all my suspension at the same time(struts, springs, busings, sway bars) so that could be why everything felt sooooo much better! Guy
  5. Whatever happen Tim? Did you look under you ZX yet? LOL I need some input from you guys on where I should connect the subframes to the car? I'm just not sure and I really dont want to just throw some tubing under it and have it not really serve a purpose other than weighing my car down! LOL So where should I connect the sub frame connectors? Guy
  6. I must say I am enjoying this thread a lot! Keep up all the good info! So having a numircally(sp?) lower Power/Weight ratio is good? I thought it was the other way? So if my car weights 3000@400HP then I have a 7.5:1 ratio? What is a good power to weight ratio for a Z/ZX with a V8? Guy
  7. Probably more than $50G's cause hes got "Twin Turbos with Lingenfelter DFI" and anything with Lingenfelter's name on it cost an arm and leg! Guy
  8. I take it you ment your 130lbs? Since when is 170-180 big? I weight 170lbs@6'0"? My girlfriend always tells me I'm too skinny! LOL Now I will have to tell her I'm fat! j/k! Guy
  9. Ok good cause I didnt think all that would fit anyways! LOL Guy
  10. How did he get all that in there?!!!!!!!!! Guy
  11. Just from hearing all this about your car tt350, I wouldn't even try to save it or anything like it. If you are going to go through with this TT350 project then you need a completly rust free car. No if's, and's or but's about it! Basically you need to find a perfectly good Z and hack it up! LOL Guy
  12. Your kidding right? Looks pretty expesive to me? and lots of custom work! Custom work = $$$$$$ But it sure does look BAD A$$! I thought you were selling your Z? Guy
  13. First of all welcom aboard! What you need to do next is utilize the search function located in the upper right corner of the page. This is the most valuable thing on this site. Also read the very first post on the Chevy page...http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=19186 This will answer many of your beginner questions. There has been lots of people who have talked about putting a big block chevy (BBC) in there cars but not too many people have done it. In fact you can probably count all of them with your fingers! It is very time consuming because there is a lot of fabrication required. I'm not saying it can't be done but there is no real point to put a BBC in your Datsun unless you plan to only drag race it. With all that extra weight up front it wont handle very good so you will lose the sports car and now have a drag car. Which is fine as long as you want that. If you want big power build a 350 up and use a supercharger. You will have more than enough power and it will still handle way better than a BBC conversion! Anyways......... Guy
  14. What is this on? Lots of people do just what you said. That's what Im going to do on my 280ZX. Maybe this guy is just lazy? Guy
  15. Ok I am was thinking about my exhaust system... Now since I am going to run 2.5" all the way to the rear axle then into 3" into a muffler, will I need teh X-Pipe in there if I am going to use a Y-Pipe? Or should I just go 2.5" into X-Pipe into a Y-pipe into 3" pipe then over the axle and into a muffler? I just want to know if the Y-Pipe will equalize my back pressure or not? Thanks, Guy
  16. You ran an 11.4@125mph what's so sad about that? I know you were hoping for a 10.99999999999999999 but 9 out of 10 of us guys would be pretty happy with an 11.4@125mph. You should be happy that nothing broke with a lauch at 4500rpms! Most of us wouldn't dare lauch at that with a good set of tires. Something will break for sure! LOL Guy
  17. If you got the cash then buy the quaife! It's a step up from an LSD unit! If I had the money thats what I would buy. Im planning on putting one in next year. Wish I could now but I have other priorities right now, like an exhaust! lol Here's a place to get one too.... http://www.bildon.com/catalog/drivetrain/ Guy
  18. Hey I'm going to have my cake and eat it too when I'm done with my ZX conversion! I think 400HP should be a fun 280ZX, dont you? LOL Hey all I can say is that the 240,260,280Z's have nicer looking bodies. I hate the front of my car. That will all be fixed though when I get the ground effects and front and rear spoilers from MSA. I am getting the one like "Cody 82 ZXT" and "David Karey." Have. I like the looks then! The ZX is a little bit heavier yes, but most of the extra weight is for sturctural support anyways. So that is kind of a good thing if you ask me! Guy 8)
  19. I bought rebuilt rear calipers 3 years ago for my 80' ZX and they sit unused every winter up here in Wisconsin for like 5 months a year. I could see them leaking if you dont use them for like a year or two? Where is it leaking from? Guy
  20. Ok, thanks for the help "your car is slow" and " grumpy" I just need your first and last names Thanks again! Guy
  21. Ok well can someone please just answer my questions? I really need some help here fast! I have to turn this in to my teacher in 2 hours! I forgot until now that I have to have these, WHOOPS! Thanks, Guy

  23. OH BABY! By then I will have the money to buy them! Guy
