  1. Happy B-Day Bart! Now enough of this celebrating, lets get that car painted! LOL Guy
  2. Well the car is at the painters! Should be done before next weekend! Hopefully I can get this thing back on the road before the end of June! Guy
  3. The only part about that idea that might suck is if you need to replace teh MAF sensor. You would end up having to buy a new TB and MAF$$$! I think it would really cut down on the space you would need though... Guy
  4. I just ordered some new door panel skins for my car but I'm not too sure yet what to use to glue/secure them to the door panel backing? I am also going to need to recover the headliner, drivers rear panel and the tail light panel in my car. So what kind of adhesive have you guys used? I've tried the 3M trim adhesive before but it doesn't seem to hold up very well(seems ok at first but the glue seems to let go after a while). Guy
  5. Well the MAP sensor is kind of like a load sensor for the PCM, so this could cause some serious drivablity issues if its going bad. Another thing to do is a voltage drop test your your ground wire on the MAP sensor. While its plugged in and engine running, take your voltmeter on DC voltage and connect one lead to the negative battery and then back probe the ground wire on the MAP sensor connector. If you have anything more than .2V then you have a poor ground and this can cause bad signals back to the PCM. This test works much better than ohming the wire because its like a load test on the wire and not just testing continuity. Guy
  6. First how old is she? What was the fight about, did you have this coming?LOL! Guy
  7. Well it seems to me that code 33 could be from your cam. Code 16 sounds like its a wiring issue though(hopefully).... Hopefully you don't have a faulty PCM or a bad NEW opti.... Guy
  8. Bart, I think that'll look sweet if you can pull it off. You'll deffinetly be able to say I'm the only one with this paint job! Keep up the good work and keep the pics coming! Guy
  9. Thanks for the offer on the harness but I was planning on doing the same myself. I think I will be doing the same with the diode. What kind/size/rating of diode did you use? Guy
  10. The lens is just plastic(flexable even). They are sitting on the housing I made and then I have it taped onto the housing with electrical tape so that I can get inside of it if need be. I was going to glue them on but I want to be able to remove them if need be(clean or replace them if needed). You can't see the tape though because the chrome trim ring is covering that part of the housing. The clearance in the back is still pretty tight. Getting it all seaed up and still able to change out the bulb is going to be the hardest part! Guy
  11. I haven't looked at the original 280ZX wiring diagram yet so I'm not 100% sure if it will work the way I'm planning it. Yeah sealing this thing up is going to be the hardest part. I'll be sure to post lots of pics and details of how I did everything once I'm done/almost done. Guy
  12. Sure but I wont be able to do it till the coming weekend when Im around the car. The back of the housing is fiberglassed in. I haven't quite finished it yet though. Guy
  13. I'll take some pics of the left side going together. It took me a while to figure out how to put all this together so there was a lot of trial and error on the first one. Yes, stock adjustment is still usable. I am using the stock wiring harness. The low beam power wire will power up the light and the high beam power wire will flip the solenoid. I don't have it wired in yet, I was just using some wire and a battery to power up the light for testing purposes. I still have to figure out a way to seal up the back of the headlight so water can't get inside. Hopefully I can get that done today! I'll try to post some pics soon of the left side going together! Guy
  14. Well I have one headlight almost done and half of the other one done. I am using a Bi-Xenon projector from and Infinity FX35 with 350Z bulbs, ignitors, and ballast. The housing that I am using is actually a cut up and modified crappy "ebay specials headlights". The cover over all of it is from Victory British and they are actually ment for protecting your hallogen headlights, I am just using them as a lens! The blinkers are 3 LED's that I got off ebay. I had to do this since I shaved the ones that go in the bumper off. Low Beam on(just the right side)... A little blurry but also just the low beam on.... Ok very blurry but this is the high beam on. Basically there is a solenoid inside the projector that moves a plate that allows more light to go through the projector.... Here's the blinker on... Guy

  17. John and Mike, you guys are my heros! Those are great stories!!!! They got what they had coming thats for sure. This happen to me a few weeks ago. I came out to my car in the morning to go work and notice some of my stuff shuffled around. Nothing was stolen. I don't have a CD play or big stereo system in my daily driver, didn't really have any loose change, but I did have my fourwheeler helmet laying there....apparently thieves aren't into helmets? Sure gave me a weird feeling about some jackass routing through my stuff! If I would have caught them I think I would have been in the same situation as John and Mike! Guy
  18. Seems to me like that sawdust would just bind things up? How about the egg in the radiator to seal it up? I've heard it works and so does ground up pepper(like off your table pepper)? Guy
