  1. I just got some new wheels for my car. I liked my 17's but I finally found some 4 lug wheels with some dish / lip on them and I just had to have them! They are Sport Max 962 hyper silver's. Fronts are 18x7.5 with 225/40/ZR18 and the rears are 18x9.5 with 265/35/ZR18(next time I will go with a 275 to fill out the rim better). The rear lip is 3.25" and I believe the front is 2.25". The overall hight of the tire/rim combo is about 25.1"-25.3". I am using MMS wheel spacers(1.5" thick I think) on the fronts and in the pic I am using them in the rear but I am looking for 20mm thick spacers to get more of the tire inside the wheel well. I think it will look better if the tire isn't sticking out so much in the rear. By the way a6t8vw thanks for helping me find this wheel! They look great on your car too! Guy
  2. EvilC those are not real projectors and they are actually piles of crap, ask me how I know...LOL. I bought them with the intent to do the same thing and then realized what POS's they were. Then I found HIDPLANET and learned about real projectors. I know have FX35 Bi-Xenon projectors in custom built projector holders. I never finished my original post of how it turn out but they actually turned out pretty good. I'll try to post some pics this weekend for you. I have to wire them up anyways this weekend so I'll do it then! Guy
  3. Nope that's not was I was looking for. I ment the part that I thought stuck out on the inside of the rotor. I just got out by my car and I see that the rotor is flush with the hub center. I think the wheel spacers I bought today(online) aren't going to work. They are hubcentric ones for a 240sx or something. I really need to get a hold of Ross C so he can just make me what I need. Thanks anyways though!
  4. I am looking for a set of different sized wheel spacers and my car is not where I live so I can't just go out and measure this. So what is the hub diameter on the rear of a 280ZX?(where the center of the rotor goes over). I thought I read this somewhere in a post but for the life of me I can't find it! Thanks, Guy
  5. I too have tried to get ahold of him the past week about wheel adapters and have yet to get a response back from him. I would like to buy from him because I trust his work but if I find someone else that makes the adapters I need I will buy from them if he doesn't respond to my emails... Guy PS... looking for 4x114.3/20mm thick wheel spacers (I have found 2 places but both are on back order for 4-6 weeks from Japan, I really don't want to wait that long!)
  6. I was wondering the samething. I really hope it's possible because that's my only hope with out having to repaint the whole hood. I'm going to ask the "Dent Doctor" guy next time he comes into my work(I'm a Nissan Tech at the local Nissan dealership). Hopefully he'll have some good news for me! Guy
  7. Dude its not you its that your a 14 year old male with raging hormons that she's worried about. She's just being a parent, LOL. As for why she trusts the older couple, who knows. Maybe its because the older sister has proved to her mom that she is responsible and wont do anything stupid like get pregnant at 17. I wouldn't take it personal that the mom doesn't trust you two together. Guy
  8. Well atleast there's hope I guess. I didn't even see it until today. Man was I pissed. It didn't even cross my mind that the bolts I was using would be too long because it looks like there is plenty of space between the inner hood skin to the outter hood skin. Live and learn I guess.... Guy
  9. I screwed up pretty bad last night. I put my hood latch on the hood last night and I used too long of a bolt for the 2 mounting bolts and now I have 2 small dipples on the outside of the hood:cry:. It didn't crack the paint but its very noticable. Do you guys think something like a "paintless dent repair person could fix this? Man I feel like a jackass!
  10. Cut the seal. That's what I did to get it out. You can get a new hatch seal for $90 from Black Dragon. There was no way I was going to be able to get that glass out with out just cutting the seal. The old seal was just too hard and wouldn't flex enough to allow me to remove the window. Guy
  11. As requested! http://www.datsun-280zx-lt1.com/Movies/walk_around.MOV (right click save as....)(you will need quick time to view it I think, atleast I did) Guy

    New Car

First off stay away from the VW/Audi seen if you want easy and cheap to maintain. Once those cars get some miles on them things like the cat convt. and O2 sensors like to go and its very expensive to fix(the dealership I work at also services the VW/Audi's). Changing an O2 sensor on some of these cars requires removing the engine! 8-| ! You could get a miata, that would probably get good milage and be fun to drive? I don't know if it would be comforatable for a 1 hour commute though? Guy
  13. Nope I have the KD's on my 17's, they are 225/45/17. The tire rack has these tires all the way down to 205/50/15's and all the way up to 295/35/18's. The KD is a summer dry weather tire and the KDW is a summer dry/wet weather tire.
  14. Ditto what Jon said! There is always someone who thinks they know everything. I work with a guy like that, no matter what way I do something its the wrong way because I should be doing it the way he does it! Those type of people are tools, the smart people are the ones who listen to other peoples ideas and use what they can from it to better themselves. I hate to see you go, you were deffinelty out paint/body guru if you ask me! Hopefully you'll stop in once and a while to give us some good info! Guy
  15. Not very observent are you? New post http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=123385...
  16. Wheel spacers are perfectly safe when used right even when beating on your car! There are quite a few posts about this. Do some searches for johnC and jmortenson, they have both posted a ton of info on wheel spacers and how they are safe for track and street use. I don't know why people think they are unsafe. They bolt on just like a set of wheels? People don't think having wheels on a car is unsafe do they? Unless you have a problem installing lug nuts they are safe! LOL
  17. I have the KD's on my 17's right now and I love them too! One burn out and they get pretty sticky for a street tire. I know the KD's aren't really close in price to the Sports though. I think the sport is more of a all season tire isn't it? The KD's are a summer/dry weather tire only. Guy
  18. No they wont be in the way, you will just have to block them off or use them. You can do what Spdsk8r did and use the ram horns on both sides... If you have this style of manifold it will work just fine. Guy
  19. That's the understatement of the century! LOL Here's some pics from tonight... If any of you have ever replaced the rear window seal, you can understand what a major pain in the ass this seal is to replace! It must have took me 1 1/2 hours to put that rear window in! Then I put the quarter windows in and got urethane all over the friggin place! LOL All is good though, I made lots of progress tonght. I'm really hoping to have it all back together this weekend and ready for the tranny next weekend!
