    V10?

Man-o-man, get those pics up! Guy
  4. Your going to completely restore/mod this car in 3.5months! Like as in LS1 installed and running all painted and everything! Thats crazy! I personally love what your doing to that car. When I do a 240Z conversion some day that is exactly what I will be looking for. I would rather spend good money on a car with no rust than a cheaper car with rust and have to spend weeks/months fixing it. Guy

  14. WOW, remind me not to race any orange Z's in Denver, CO! Keep up the good work and keep the pics coming. Guy
  15. I didnt think Tokico makes adjustable struts for the Z's anymore? If they do were are you getting them? I think you will need the coilovers though if you want 10" rims out back. I think with those flares it will be possible but you will have to figure out what kind of offset you will need. I have never seen pics of a ZX with those flares on it either so if you do find pics please post them. Guy
  16. Dont mean to be a "stick in the mud" but what does this have to do with SBC V8 swaps? Guy
  17. Welcome aboard! Its always nice to have a new member who can read the FAQ first then post! We really do appreciate that more than you can imagine. Now about your sig... Thats all there is too it! Guy
  18. Matt you have no idea how glad I was to not be finished with my car! I know for sure I would have driven it today because the weather was so nice. I cant wait to tell my boss. He wanted me to stay late to finish up an alignment but I didnt want to stay so he said I could go. He's just going to love this!........."if you would have stayed this wouldnt have happend...." The only reason I went threw town and not a back road was because I was following a nice Z28(LT1) and I wanted to hear the exhaust note. Yeah it sounded nice but I wish I would have turned onto the side road like I noramally do! LOL Oh well I guess. Guy
  19. Yes you want the chain to be tight. The to timing marks on the sprockets should face each other. So the cams timing mark would be at the 6 o'clock position and the crankshafts timing mark would be at 12 o'clock. It can be tricky getting the chain on and have them line up but it is possible. Close is not good enough! Do you have a new timing set? Guy
  20. Yeah I got into a fender bender tonight. I was driving through a small town called Black Creek and just as I got over the RR tracks I looked away for just a second and when I looked back traffic was stopped. I stepped on the brake as hard as I could but it was too late I was only goin like 20-25mph so I didnt do too much damage to the other persons car and I didnt really do too much to my truck. Her bumper has 2 holes in it from my brush guard brackets and her trunk was buckled a little bit up. The metal part of my front bumper (96' Dakota)has a new dent in it but thats it. Glad I pay my insurance! LOL Oh and I got a $102 fine for "following too closely".......it could have been a "inattentive driving" which is a $180 fine but the cop was nice Im not too mad about it. I know it was my fault and I was just driving like a moron and not paying attention. I just felt stupid standing there waiting for the cop to come. The other lady wasnt too mad about it. She just told me that she hopes my weekend goes a little better than its starting out. Guy :malebitchslap:
  21. I have never heard of either of those engines being swapped into a 280ZX. I would imagine the ka24de will have more info when it comes to swapping it into a Gen 1 Z so that info could help. But I have never heard of anyone using a 4.9L in any generation of a Z. Doesnt mean it cant be done, just means you'll have to do more test fitting than say a 5.0L swap. Hopefully if someone has done either one of those swaps in a 280ZX they will speak up and help you out! Guy
  22. So what was wrong with it? Did I miss that post? Guy
  23. Do you mean flywheel HP Vs rear wheel HP? There is about a 15-18% loss on manual tranny car and a 18-20% on a auto tranny car. If thats what you mean.
