  1. No problem! Now what is a decent weight for a tire/rim combo? 40LBS per corner seems kinda high? Guy
  2. Yeah the exhaust sounds sweeeeeeeeeeet! 8) Next time zoom in on the time and MPH though!(well tell whoever was recording to do that anyways! LOL) Guy
  3. Yeah I cant stand sites like that...."cough" zcar.com "cough" Guy
  4. I have those on my car. Mine are 17x7's. I have tires on them now though. You want me to go weight them with the tires on them? I have BFG T/A KD's 225/45/17's on them. Guy I went and weight a tire/rim combo............40lbs! Is that heavy for a tire/rim combo? It seems like it is?
  5. ROTFLMAO!!!! Those are absolutly true! Guy
  6. It's 80LT1 not Bolt1, You need a place to host the picture. You can host it here in the album. One you get the picture on the site then just click on "Img" then insert the link to the picture, then click "Img" again. If you want to make the picture show up as a section of words....type in " then type what you want to use for words as the link(like where I said "screen shot") then type in "" Hope that helps! Oh and I still cant seem to break the 2.000s 60' mark! I've got pretty good rubber on my tires. They are BFG T/A KD's the traction rating is AA and the tire wear is 200. So they are pretty soft rubber. I think I need some 15's with some Nittos or BFG DR's!
  7. What do you mean "will the stock starter work?" If you mean will it fit, yes it will fit. Will your radiator work, yes if you run a stock 305. I would really suggest an aftermarket alluminum radiator like a Griffin. My car has never even come close to overheating with the 26"x19" Griffin, CSI electric water pump and the 1 speed Taurus electric fan. Most guys use the 2 speed Taurus fan though. Exhaust manifolds........either you can make a drivers side header and use a standard block hugger on the passenger side or you can use a mid 70's Camaro sytle manifold on the driver side and a ram horn manifold on the passenger side. Guy
  8. Hey Terry if you send me that clip I'll be more than happy to host it! Guy
  9. Wasnt Cyrus's old 240 a blue one? Glad to hear you got a job you seem to like! That it self is hard to come by! Guy
  10. How small is the clip? I might be able to host it. Guy
  11. I would think that they should bolt in. You will probably need the regulator assebmley, switches and new door panels to make them work. Then you just need to feed power and ground. I dont think they offered power locks, did they? I know you can get aftermarket power lock kits. Guy
  12. Yup thats the one! What is a targa band? Guy
  13. You know what pieces Im talking about right? There not really clips, more like trim pieces. Guy
  14. Do you have the original GTech or the new GTech Pro Comp? How far off was your times compared to track? I just got a GTech Pro Comp and I find it hard to believe that I am only running a 13.4@ 107. Seems kinda slow? Your probablyy at the track right now but be sure to post when you get the good news! Guy
  15. Yeah it will just drop in but you have to use manifolds and not headers to make the exhaust work. Otherwise you can make headers like me and a few other guys. Now about this parts car.....does it have T-Tops? And if so would you like to sell the little chrome pieces that hold the inside edge down on teh outside? Guy
  16. Even if its not as accurate as the drag strip, I figure it will always be consistant with it self. So that way I can work on the 60'! Here's a few runs I made with my car tonight. Im thinking that there a little slow but the only way to find out is to get my butt down to the strip! LOL 1. 2.073s (60') / 13.669s @103.47mph 2. 2.096s (60') / 13.621s @104.36mph 3. 2.139s (60') / 13.567s @ 99.91mph <whys this faster than the other 2 but slower in MPH? 4. 2.021s (60') / 13.406s @107.39mph Oh and just as a side note...I finally after over a year figured out why my car ran so crappy in the low RPM range / not WOT....my O2 sensors were controlling the wrong banks, right side o2 was controlling the left bank and vise versa!!!!!! It runs like a raped ape now! LOL Guy <-----I am one happy camper! LOL
  17. If the crossmember in the 300ZX is in the right position I would think it would work just fine. But is the crossmember right where it needs to be......or is it too far forward or too far rearward? You will have to test fit it to find out for sure. Your in uncharted/undocumented territory so you will just have to learn as you go. I dont think Ive seen an LS1 in a 84-98 300ZX. Good luck! Guy
  18. I always thought those hood vents were there to let out "trapped air" under the hood to reduce front end lift at higher speeds. Im sure they also help with letting out head too but I thought the main purpose was for aerodynamics? Guy
  19. Is the "Fine Living" a channel on Direct TV? Guy
  20. I just got my "G-Tech Pro Competition" today. I got a nice tax return so I figured what the hell! It is "supposed" to be more accurate than the old G-Tech, plus its got a few more features. Since its pouring rain today, so I just took my 96' Dodge Dakota out and did a run with that. Its a 3.9L V6 and manual 5 speed tranny. Nothing special thats for sure! LOL The neat thing about this is that you can downlaod your runs off of the G-Tech and put them on your computer! Here's a Screen Shot 60'..............2.662s 330'............7.760s 1/8 mile......12.090s @58.11mph 1000'..........15.780s 1/4mile.......18.963s @70.72mph Max HP.......110.7@3392RPMs Max TQ.......171.4@3388RPMs Guy
  21. What channel is that on? I would love to see "The Goose" on TV! 8) Guy
  22. WOW! You werent kidding when you said you like wrenching more than the actual driving of the car! So what's the next project car? Another Z? Guy
  23. Yup I also think that all of the ZX's are rusted out back there. Mine was but now that rust is gone and a new panel is welded in! I wouldnt take out too much of the interior. It gets very loud very quick. I drove my ZX last week like that(I was too lazy to put the interior back in at the time , but its back in now! ) There is no way that I could drive around like that, way too noisey. The ZX doesnt look too bad with out the front bumber but it doesnt look good either? You can tell that something is just missing when its off... Hope that helps! Guy
  24. Are you adjusting the vavles while the engine is running? I know when I adjusted mine that if I went too far the engine would almost die from having the valve misadjusted so far. I would think that if you over tightend them it would actually cause the valve to not open far enough? Am I thinking about this the right way? Guy
  25. First of all are you sure you have a draw? If you left it hooked up too long you could have damaged the battery. Put the Amp meter between the negative post and the negative cable(in series not parallel) and see what the draw is. For a none computerize vehicle it should be well below 50mA. Oh and besure not to leave the Amp meter on too long because if you do have a extremly large draw(say 30A) you will either blow the fuse in your meter or melt it down! LOL One more thing. If your alarm system is blowing fuses you probably melted a wire and it might be contacting the body somewhere. Unplug that and see if your draw goes away(if you have one for sure) That would be my guess at where your draw is. Guy
