  1. I'm looking in to some HKS GT2530's. The most RWHP I want to see is 500, and I think that would get me there. I have 550cc injectors so if I turn up the fuel psi, I should be good... That should get me in to the 10's
  2. If you can get the right hook ups in China, you would not belive how cheep you can get that head sand casted... Hogging that out from a solid block would cost a lot, and what would the block cost?? Looks like you are off to a good start, are you using AutoCAD2000? (not the best for 3D)
  3. Thanks. I will try and answer and ask some questions for every one… Zardilla Sad to hear your project has to sit for a while. As for the ECU if I were you and I had the stock ECU all working and the wiring all laid out. I would look at the Apex-I ECU it has a hand held controller and I hear the J-spec one can use MAP as well as MAS. Jersey I do have dyne sheet on it, the RB makes a nice toqury curve all the way to red line at 348 RWHP. I will se if I can get it from the dyno shop. Cody 82 ZXT The Hoosiers are cheaters or DOT if that is what a cheater is? And I think LSD would help but like stony says it could beat on my set up. Stony I’m happy to be following in your footsteps! Thanks for all the help you gave me. Yes I’m considering a linelock, but on the two runs that are not on that vid I did nice burnouts (just one tire at a time). As for the rear end I like my Datsun IRS setup and I will try my hardest to make it work. If there are 9sec Civics out there with IFS, I should be able to have a 10sec 240Z with IRS. I run ZXT CV's and they have been good so far, but we will see.... So if and when the give me trouble I will get some stronger ones made by http://www.driveshaftshop.com and if the stubs blow out I will get some made from M300. I don’t ever want to give up the IRS and 5 Speed. Scottie-GNZ Your calculation was way off… By a whooping 0.048 seconds and staggering 1.398 MPH P.S. any tips on this 3rd gear 4th gear at the trap thing? or on gearing, I run a 4.11 from a 200SX turbo pparaska Thanks RPMZ I have not yet tried slipping the clutch, I was just happy with a 1.75 with no LSD. Still need to try launching from higher RPM.
  4. 7500RPM, the RB is more like a sportbike motor If I'm any faster at the trap I will have to go into 4th
  5. But should I be in 4th? The first one is with no burn out and the second one is just with a clutch drop. the two 1.7 60 footers are not in there
  6. Cool, I think this one is bigger 1/3 scale?
  7. Im in the top of 3rd at the end of the track 117MPH? What do you guys think of that? There is a video... it has the first two runs on it, not my vid but someone on the net was recording all the 4cyl and 6cyl stuff at the track. But it is big 15min long, lots of other races in it.... My two best runs were with V8's so it is not on this video http://www.t-p-w.com/stuff/sept_27th_at_gimli.WMV
  8. Why is this an Announcement? Sorry
  9. Thanks guys, Oh and I had the tires at 16 PSI. I would of got 26x9.5R14 and put them on the front rims in the photo, but they would not fit over my 240sx rear brakes More side wall = Better?
  10. I have 10" coil overs. And they fit with no spacer, but it was so close I used a 0.200" thick spacer just to be safe The tires are 26x9.6R15 Hoosier Quick time Pros. thay can go on 6"-8" rim and the 300ZX's are 6.5, kinda small but it worked 8)
  11. The same if I hooked good, but it is so easy to hook with my new best buds (hoosiers)
  12. 60' of 1.749 1/8 7.596 @ 91.504mph 1/4 11.752 @ 117.602mph I could have been faster because of this reason… here is the story 1st pull no burn out 12.022 @ 115.499mph. 2nd pull drop the clutch in the water box and spin up to the line, 12.877 @ 115.818mph spun the tires off the line. 3rd pull drop the clutch in the water box at 4K and get on the brake to do a one tire fire (no LSD) smoke the tire/tires up to the line, 11.793 @ 117.204 mph good 60’. Get the time slip and the guy tells me to slow down (no roll bar). So I park the car and have a good think about things… So now my strategy is to practice my launch and when I think I have a good 60’ give it the rest of the way down the ¼ and get booted off the track. So then I pull up and do the old one tire fire and launch, got a little too gun happy and thought that that launch was awesome. So I hammer it the rest of the way, get a 60' of 1.749, 1/8 7.596 @ 91.504mph, 1/4 11.752 @ 117.602mph best of the day, but then got told to put my car back on the trailer (I drove the car there!). If I would of tried more launches I think I would of ended up pulling a better 60’, because I would of kept raising the RPM I was launching at until I spun the tires too much, then I would of went back and did a pull right at the thresh hold…
  13. Stony might sell his RB26DETT powered 260Z for that much. it is low low 11's car soon to be in the 10's But i think he will hold on to it
  14. Drewz, Sorry for taking so long to answer you I did not notice your question. About the gauges the small 3 install from the front, I used the old rings to install them. I epoxy-ed in the old ring and installed them with the Autometer clip thing. As for the speedo and the tack I used a 1/2†black foam tape (weather strip stuff). I put that around the gauge just behind the silver rim, that made them a tight fit in the hole then to make sure they do not move I siliconed them in from the back. I know it is kinda hack to silicone them but it will just peel off of I ever want to do some thing else. Hope that helps. J Thanks for all the complements guys. As for the rims I will some day but I’m building a house right now and is killing me. My wallet has been calling uncle for some time now. What do you guys think of these braid rims from http://www.garagedynamics.com ?
  15. j260z, Yes that is what I do, I have a jig to hold the laser cut plates is the right position when I weld them. mbentsen, The thans mount is all just bolted in and so far so good. No problems yet and I give the the RB a run for its money
  16. Yes they put the motor as low and far back as you can go. I dont sell trans mounts, I just made new "ears" in the tunnel and used the stock trans mount. The ears are bolted with 4 bolts each through the tunnen then backed with a 1/8" plate inside the car under the carpet.
  17. They bolt up to the stock rubber mounts and I sell them for 100$
  18. Sorry there is a lot of other cars in there, I just found it on the net......
  19. It is a long vid I'm in it @ around 4:03 Dont know what I ran that time but you can see a slow 60' http://www.t-p-w.com/stuff/crx_at_gimli.wmv
  20. Thanks for the info, I have seen that vid of yours. 14psi wow that is low. What size of rims do you run them on? My car only has around 350HP at the wheels, so I hope it is not as much of a hand full as yours.
  21. Man what a pain in the A$$.
  22. I just installed my new 26x9.5R15 Hoosier Quick Time Pro’s on some 15x6.5†300ZX 4 lug rims. They actually fit under my stock fenders, but they are vary close to my 10†coilovers… Too close so I think I will use a 1/8†spacer. I have lots of room from the fender to tire. But over all I am impressed. The last day at the track this year is on the 27th. So I am going for a better time than I had last time ( 13.00 @ 109MPH ). I now have 50 more HP and better traction…. I would like an 11sec pass and hope my ZXT CV shafts don’t blow out.
