last i heard jersey was 12.4 (feel free to jump in and correct me Jersey) I would think someone would mention running 11's on stock turbo. Like I said if people are doin it when i couldnt, lets see those timeslips!! I mean how much better can 60' times get in a basically stock turbo setup? I thought low 1.7's was pretty good.

I'm callin BS on that. I'll believe it when I see it.

i was just gettin the car tuned, so i only got up to 13 psi. Im headed to 20 or so.

Just curious if anyone has ever done this themselves? I'm trying but I cant get the shaft to stay still while i remove the compressor nut. . . . havent taken the turbine housing off . . . . Anyone?

Good news!! The piston is repairable . . . I just need to replace a 240z connecting rod. That one was discolored from heat. Got a local qoute to hot-tank, bore (.080 over), and check line-bore = $265 Didnt think that was bad at all. So anyone got a L24 rod?

Yeah it sucks, no big deal though. I'll have to build something wickeder this time and not let it blow up. HAHA New compressor wheel should be here tomorrow, and I'll get the car to the track to get some numbers. Oughta be able to beat my old 1/4 mile time.

Definitely wasnt detonation, there are chunks of compressor wheel missing. . . the car never saw more than 13 psi and it was ALWAYS safe AFR's, besides detontation prolly would have shown some damage on other pistons.

I've been through two sets, I only use them on the track for the most part. I've not been dissapointed with them wearing quickly . . . i even ran em on the street for a good while. At any rate . . . mine are 225's and with an open diff I was pullin 1.7 60's . . . .they work.

I didnt think they grew much corn in mississippi! Snopes.com says some of those were in Iowa.

Nice vids thumper! Thats what I like to see. I may have some of my own here shortly. There is a 11 sec galant vr-4 that wants a piece. I intend to give it to him. haha

well I still need to remove the bearing from that rod, but I think the rod is reusable, unless you're seeing something im not? yeah #5 is in good shape

well, long story short . . . the K&N filter was too close to the exhaust manifold and the rubber began to soften and shred at the clamp. Turbo sucked in a chunk of rubber under boost and munched up the compressor wheel . . . . those pieces eventually found their way into the cylinders . . . and I'll admit the motor was pretty low on oil at the time that this happened, I'm sure that didnt help the situation. Oh well, now I get to do my first rebuild, good times . . . good times. Its a good thing they postponed SEZ, hehe.

Alright so i took my bottom end apart tonight and this is what i found. This is the #2 Connecting rod bearing. Totally munched . . . and it scored the crank journal pretty badly. Top of piston was peppered with pieces of Turbo Compressor wheel Smashed the edge which in turn scored the cylinder wall badly enough that i cant reuse this block unless i bore and go up to bigger pistons. Which i dont wanna do cause i still have 5 perfect Ross forged pistons. Still havent made up my mind yet what im gonna do, I'll keep ya posted, just thought i'd share the gruesome pics.

This Guy is a local legend in chicago. Believe it or not this guy ran full interior and still could be found out on the street tryin to race people for money. I had my head under the hood last year . . . that turbo is the size of a basketball!!! Wicked car.
