  1. 1968 Dodge Super Bee. 383 Magnum. 727 auto. Black with Keystones. F70's , L60's Goodyear polyglass raised white letter BIAS PLY tires. I paid $250.00, on blocks, in a back yard, on Long Island in 1978. Now in posession of my youngest brother, awaiting a restoration. OH YEAH>>>>>>>>>GAS WAS .60 cents a gallon at a solid 8 miles to the gallon. Kicked ASS and Sucked Gas
  2. Most Important.. STAY IN SCHOOL. I spent 2 yrs at Manhattan engineering school. Lost focus. Never got back. I should have been a Lawyer. If you stay in school, you will continue to move forward...stick with it...Good Luck.
  3. For all my SUPER POWERS.........I'm ashamed to say I don't have a functioning digital camera. Maybe when Chris comes home. He's out in his new (used) '05 G35X.
  4. I've got 4 in the BASEMENT FOR SAFE KEEPING:o
  5. 3+ is the way to go. ! 1 V8....Because.............well...........................You know why 1 TURBO>>They just go>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 1 NA......... So you remember were you came from JOE can tell you:mrgreen:
  6. Hi, my name is Tom, and I own 10 Datsuns. I know I need help, and that's why I'm here. I also posess the remains of many others.
  7. 35 miles!............ 81 280ZX:mparty::mparty::mparty:Out of new car wreck, approx 28 yrs ago. Note OEM OIL FILTER!!!!!
  8. I'd keep all 3,....More are sure to follow:smile:
  9. If you remove the valve cover, you can see if there is an eccentric on the cam gear. Or just go with an electic pump.
  10. :mparty::mparty:BTW........I'm up to TEN (10) and counting. A very special drive train arriving on Saturday,
  11. :ass:Step aside and give me her number.........
  12. Inspect the plugs for build up from oil consumption. (Assuming the plugs have been in a while.) Also understand that police cars tend to idle a long time( while waiting for a fresh batch of donuts at the local Dunkin Donuts) Seriously, thats a fair amount of miles. Add to that extended idle time. Most see good maintance. Not Bad for $500. Squeeze the seller a bit more, .........Clive can help you with negotiation techniques.
  13. Rod bearings usualy suffer damage first. Then mains follow. Cut open oil filter and inspect for metal. Drain remaining oil and look for metal. If you have the pan down, I would certainly pull all mains and rods. If hydraulic lifters, they usualy get noisy first.........Good Luck.
  14. I worked on the cougars, and tbirds. I know the system and how it's done mechanicaly. Very simple.
  15. You asked for help. Look at 1 tuff z's picture of his brakes. Your calipers are on the wrong side of the car. SWAP THEM LEFT TO RIGHT! If you don't, you will never be able to bleed them, (besides the other problems).
  16. Unless you took the picture upside down, bleeder appears to be at the bottom of the caliper. This would not be right.
  17. I was under the impression these were hard to find. I work at a toyota dealer. I called our local glass installer. He delivered 3 new windshields the next day for $120.00 each. I think you should call a local seller/installer. They probably have access to a local "windshield wharehouse". ...Installed it would have cost $200.00. I'm not setup to package glass and ship. This is just basicly a public service anouncement.
  18. A search revealed nothing specific. Any recommendations, or cautions on brand of weatherstrip. OEM vs aftermarket. Your opinion is appreciated.......Thanks FYI...I just purchased new PPG tinted windshields for 70-78z's for $120.00, hand delivered.
  19. I beleive some toyota hybrids have electric a/c compressors.
  20. I read the entire thread. Very enlightening. However, I saw no mention of the exhaust witness marks......The smoking gun. Discolored drivers side tail lamps. The passenger side is always bright and shiny! The exhaust rolls right back up to the lamp.
