  1. i have actually considered doing this...i came across an rb motor with an awd tranny hooked up to it for cheap a while back. if someone can do it, i would love to see it
  2. i dont mean to hijack, but what do you guys think about mounting these? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/7-COLOR-PROJECTOR-FOG-LIGHTS-LAMPS-W-HALO-UNIVERSAL_W0QQitemZ380062600798QQihZ025QQcategoryZ33709QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  3. at first glance i thought it was some crazy turbo
  4. heck of a job man! that is awesome! i wish i had the patience of 5 years... and i agree with the above statement ^ the point of which they are road worthy is when they actually begin. you feel the ride, and then realize you want more, way more...
  5. at first it just sounded like you had a bad power wire to the starter. it sounds exactly like what i had happen to me before. that is what i thought it was until you hooked your battery up backwards, sounds like everything went SSSSSSSSSSIZLE
  6. ewww....my z used to be the 305. i see that light blue everywhere and i really don't like it. glad it is a lambo yellow
  7. has anyone replaced the window cranks on their z? i am trying to find some nice black billet cranks but i have had no luck. does anyone know of any OEM black cranks that will fit?
  8. who here has shipped an engine? i am trying to find a place online that would do it cheap as well as having it shipped across the country. going from washington state to new york. any help here? i finally found a turbo engine swap!
  9. i am still on the hunt for a junker zxt for the usual turbo swap. i am located in albany, ny. if you have an inexpensive rusted out zxt, please let me know. if you have the majority of a turbo swap, or some parts for cheap, please let me know. my '77 2+2 needs a turbo to lug around that extra weight!
  10. i think it's funny that all of you are worried about hitting your head and making the seats lower, when i am 5' 5" and made sure to make my seats sit higher
  11. more money down the drain...new steering wheel kit, airdam, and strut tower bar in the mail!
  12. 1977 Datsun 280z 2+2 Adam Daniels East Greenbush, NY my bad for posting 4
  13. i envy you man...you have no idea. great work, and good luck with the car!
  14. oh my bad, i thought i read 13. my bad
  15. i personally would go 14". it seems to be a nice compromise between quick steering, leverage, and visibility http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/SWM/50-3101
  16. mazda speed seats. mounted nearly stock z rails on them and the only thing is that they hit the door panel slightly
  17. can't wait until i can get home next week to drive my z! just put in new rack bushings
  18. yes it is just a roll bar. no pics at the moment but i can get some. it came in my other 2+2 that i got, "bob sharp racing". someone can fit in the back seat if needed but with the way i have my harnesses setup, i keep the seat down. i will eventually be eliminating the rear seat
  19. that is a very nice looking s130! it is screaming for exhaust though...
  20. please tell us that you beat that car! has she seen some mud yet?
  21. recent update.....not only do i now have bucket seats and 4 point harnesses, but now my roll bar is back in the car. boy does that stiffen up the ride of the car. and now with the upgraded sway bars, the handling of this car is superb!
  22. that is my goal....to keep my rpms down on the highway. at highway speed i am pushing 4k or would it be best just to swap in the l28 5 speed?
  23. idea here for my 2+2....i have recently put in some bucket seats and racing harnesses....they bolt down to the rear strut towers. seeing as i never put anyone in the back, or rarely even the passenger seat, and the harnesses sorta kill the use of the rear....why not take the rear out?? instead build a nice sound system to put in its place!
  24. could you give me some more info on this kit that Warren has? is it just the little mechanics and electronics, or is it a FULL kit? now that you have brought this to my attention...i really want to do it!
