I just went to the dealer today here they have a focus with a 2.0 liter turbo, factory recarro seats and a six speed manual. I belive it said svt on the side.

Well got the engine opened up the damage is one spun bearing, a rod and the crank. I hope the crank can still be turned. It was in new condition. The reason it spun is the rod bolts where not torqued at all. When I opened the motor the nut was backed half way. So that is where I am at.

it was just a stock rebuild on a L6. They will be buying new parts and paying for the crank to be turned. I will put it back together my self. Should have done it the first time. Did my friend a favor by giving him the motor. Will not make that mistake again.

Well I got my motor rebuilt at a school friend there teaches auto mech. any way all it cost me was parts. Now after five hundred easy miles it is makingh a rod knocking sound very loudly. I pulled off the valve cover and every thing is good so out comes the brand new motor to be rebuilt again. So that is the end of the show season for me. I am very angry at this point. Should never have pulled the motor in the first place.

The last time I went to the mercedes dealer they gave me the wrong part. I even took in the vin number.

Grainger sells some very nice cabnets. They also have cabnets that the shelves pull out on ballbearing rollers. We have all vidmar at my job very nice and easy to set up the way you like.

I just noticed that your dizzy is in the back. Is that a ford or a chevy motor? If ford what year is it and did you move the dizy or was it factory?

THat is the only car that top gears driver has ever crashed that I know of. Had very little down force. They sent back to the factory for a rear wing.

Are they glass lenses or plastic. The shop I go to all the time has the glass ones for about 70. They are true euro spec for a golf two.

My land lord had one. He loved it till it broke. The brake rotors where a thousand marks, thats around five hundred dollars. Plus pads. It was a fun car.

Here is what I did not saying it is right. The front comes with mounting tabs. I used four stainless steel screws and lock nuts on each mount tab. For the sides used four countersunk stainless metal screws on each door sill On the area in front and behind the doors I used two countersunk stainless screws and lock nuts. The best way to get the hole for the srcew right is to buy a countersink tool. But you can also you a drill the same size as the head of the screw and run it backwards. Good luck mine took me a while required a lot if fitting and trimming. Just rember to measure twice and cut once. Jason

The last time I put one togther we used fix all. Form a nice hard a sandable surface. And buy the felt form a billard supply not from a fabric shop. Don't adhear the fabric to the slate strech it across and atach it to the sides with a staple gun. Play on it until you get slack and strech it again. You may have to do it more than once. god luck

Hey guys need help with a decision. Found a jap spec 300zx complete with left hand drive guy claims to have over 400 horse. He wants $8,500 for it and it only has 70.000 km on it what do you guys think. I know that I can't bring it back to the states But I thought I would part it out and put the motor and trans in my 78 280. Should I buy it or not.

Here is the deal with the transmission bushing you need to check the size of the bushing. I needed to leave the old bushing ring in or it had to much slop and gets you no wear. as for the other bushings I only have the front end done and found out I didn't get the bushings that hold the sway bar the under side of the car. Might want to check that out before you start. By the way even with only the front end done there is a big difference.
