  1. Just wanna say I know about not having support in Japan for V8s. They have a grip on the Rice market here because its Japan. Just like everything else they try to control from the open market. When you can get $3000 for a crank, why in the world would they open the doors to a V8 crank that could be bought for $200 (SCAT 350 STOCKER). Its all about money I think. I remember I needed to line hone a rear main cap that Grumpy so helpfully sent me and the guy handed me a metal file and a majic marker!!! WTF? Its rediculous. Also if they opened the markets to Turboed V8s V10s etc, it would just take away money from the monopoly. The strange thing is that alot of people over here get so brain washed that they actually think 4 bangers will out run an 8 (all being equal) Its just silly. Another thing that is funny is that in Okinawa people always talk about how fast they can do the quarter mile.....guess what??? There is no quarter mile in Okinawa... we all know how accurate or inaccurate the GTech is. Anyway just some thoughts from my experiences. Hey in the end...to each his own, if your suzuki 3 cylinder can run a 9 on a 700 shot of nitro then guess what???? Its still a 9 sec pass.....haha. Terry
  2. Can anyone photoshop a GNose on the end of the front YZ fenders?
  3. Looks great! I was wondering how that would look with the front YZ. I am going to do the GNose and have those buckets fabbed in straight from Reaction. Ill still have to decide how to finish the bottom... I got the SS hood from 280Zone so Ill use that for the hood. I also want to use the ZX spyder fender vents...Ideas...Ideas..Ofcoarse the rear YZ will also be used.... Terry

  7. Thanks guys. All I know is it is House of Kolor three stage paint job. Base, Candy and clear coat. I have the paint codes at work, Ill post when I get there today. Yeah its unbelievable in the sunlight. I wonder if they make that in blue? Im gonna paint my next project that color I think.... Loren are you out there? Terry

  9. I used to go thru R180s like cake when I was running them. back in the 80s I had an L28 with Mikunis and headers etc and 5 speed. Probably 200 HP at best and broke them pretty regularly, so I would say dont do it unless you have another swap out soon... Terry

  14. Damn I had the same problem with my old tranny and I believe ZFAN did too at one point. I yanked that B**** out of there and replaced it with a new one and higher stall and MAJIC happened!!! .5 in the 1/4 by just matching the convertor to my cam profile... Terry
  15. A couple of reasons, the weight is one and the heads are stock on the 396 so its def just a cruiser at this point. A decent set of heads would really light her up but BB heads AFR are like 3K plus!!!! Hell I can get a entire 383 short block for that. Dont get me wromg the BBZ is awesome and has a wow factor like no other but Id rather have that gravitational pull in the pants from a 383 with less weight and a little more room in the engine bay. I have always been an auto guy as well,,,something about touch and go and just hold on. Other than that there is no reason really. However I may just swap a 454 in the future too....who knows! Having something rare and unique is also cool. Terry
  16. In my experience on the carb setting, I would not go beyond 7PSI. I had many problems will flooding by doing so. It likes 6 PSI all day but 7 is doable without any problems. Also I like the return regulator system much better than dead head. More work but better setup IMHO. Terry
  17. Well I wish i was home. I have a T56 that I will let go for a built 700R4. I just dont like manuals...getting to old I guess. Its in my BBC 396 Z. Well maybe it will be a better trade in 3 to 5 years lol.....it will be in storage at least that long......booo. Oh I may have the 396 complete with mounting cradle also for sale in the future.....I really want to put a 700R4 and 350 or 383 in her.... Terry
