1. I live in Police-State-Money-Grubber County where everyone obeys every writ of law...providing they will profit from it.
2. If your Z miraculously became smog exempt or Arnold rolled exempt years forward like was supposed to be done a few years back, what would you do to your vehicle to increase performance and/ or eye appeal? I mean everything, from mondo engine swaps to what you would delete or add in the engine bay preliminarily. Thanks, and Have a Blessed Day!!!
3. Wow, that's also kind of cool because the 928 looks (and probably performs) like an s-30 Z on steroids.
4. Hey thanks for the compliment. BTW; The valve cover is chrome plated. Got it done at a shop here in CA. All the shaving and the plating cost me a grand total of $80.00 I think I got a deal...
5. I am pretty sure you could get a ton of people on board from this site for a carbon fiber console that was economical...
6. Hey Garvice, Everything is in my peripheral field of vision. I don't have to turn my head to see what is going on. When I first started adding gauges I would mount them in those Autometer gauge mounts in the dash right above the stock gauges. They looked cool but I felt that there was too much head turning going on to be safe. That is the only negative I can see with the setup above. It looks sweet but I would be turning my head way too much, but that is me...
7. I have been thinking about this albeit 45% of the way to actually doing it... If I cut the door window frame where it meets the 1/4 window and then attached that cut piece to the 1/4 window and made that 1/4 window-window frame piece manually removable the only problem would be securing the leftover top of the door frame when the door is closed, maybe a hanging stud from the interior of the body where the door frame sits into a hole drilled in the door frame itself. Does that make sense?? As far as roof support I could just wedge some kind of material between my roll bar and the roof skin...
8. I also reread your passage and saw you have a water temp. gauge...brain fart on my part. I neglected to mention I have a fuel pressure gauge as well. Enjoy...
9. Here is another/ better shot. I love the way these look and they do not wilt, vibrate or otherwise change position at higher speeds like other mirrors I have tried... ...even with my rudimentary mounting skills. Have a blessed day!!!
10. How about manually removable like a hardtop? Pop in and out on a frame or something... That would be easiest perhaps. This idea, it intrigues me...
11. The wheels that is. CENTERLINES 8"x 15" Here comes the good part; $85.00 each when I purchased them as overstocks 5 yrs ago...
12. I have like 5 extra gauges as well. The one that wasn't mentioned is an extra water temp. sensor. I can now tell when the thermostat cracks open whereas with the stock water temp. gauge I could not... An oil temp. gauge is one that I have also but I don't know why other than I like gauges...
13. ...are in the photo section, I just uploaded alot. I guess they are under my user name, Daniel's 280z or recent photos... Let me know what you think!!! Thanks!
14. I would agree with you. I like to bolt in mostly...
15. I remember them from MSA 2001. I had just fabbed the strut to firewall mounts in addition to the strut bar being there. Then I saw what they and others had done with the strut to sway bar link and went home and did mine. What they had for sale was really sweet and I would have bought it had I not been so far into my project...
16. Really nice, almost no body roll in addition to harder springs. There is a company called PMK or PDK or PDM Fabrication which makes a complete 7 point bolt in front suspension stiffener for s-30's. I think it was like $300.00 or something I don't quite remember...
17. Made-fabbed-discovered-found the app. for-the push pull rods. Semantically we're on the same page...
18. The strut tower to strut tower is MSA. The other four I made...
19. I think that a fuel rail would not pass muster for a visual inspection by most inspectors specifically because the stock fuel pressure regulator which needs to be there as there is a line in the inspection report pertaining to "fuel enrichment" and also "fuel-other" which seems to be a category with wide parameters. I learned how it was two years ago after sailing through for years with the help of friends down in L.A. I moved here to Ventura and got spanked. Never again. Anyhow, when I am done routing the pigtails along the firewall I am going to submit some pictures to the website as my car is pretty much "done". Yeah, you've heard that before... Thanks...
20. I'd like to get a fuel rail but we got us a little thing in CA. called smog testing...
21. I got the letters and lines shaved and I wanted the filled holes shaved as well...Oh well close enough... Ooh shiny...
22. They got it 90 % correct. It's good enough...
