    If you fixed these and rechromed them you could probably get a bunch of money. There's a company that is making stainless repros and they list for like $1000.00(!)

    I started with some sandpaper I had maybe 100 grit. Way too abrasive. Finished with 220 grit. They even make a 320 or maybe even some wetsanding paper. I finished with a hard grade buffing wheel on my angle grinder with some buffing compound which was green for high gloss materials. In between buffings I treated the aluminum with oven cleaner. It's real easy once you find your method.

    I would check the TPS as well. If it is malfunctioning it can alter the air/ fuel mix. It's easy to fix.

    I had an el cheapo Ebay carbon fiber muffler and it leaked exhaust out the side and looked cool though. I am back to steel now.

    Wow, that's awesome. That's something I wanted to do when I was a kid. I worked for Amtrak last year as on onboard cook but it was not the same. Plus you engineers make stupid money...
