Like the Title states, I need a Front Tokico Illumina front strut for a 280Z.

How does Air go through the intercooler with this setup? do you have a hole in the hood there?

They are Rota RBR's I am running Tokico Springs and Tokico Blues for struts. Yes you have to cut front and rear fenders.

Yeah 17x9s up front -13 offset---- Rears are 17x9.5 -19 offset. Thanks guys!

I think this one actually time line wise is set before tokyo drift and after the latest on that just came out.

yeah the moon shine episode was the best so far. I actually laughed a few times.. They seem to be interacting more natural and it seemed more comfortable for them. NISSAN FTW lol.... even with 275,000 miles on it...

I wanted to start a new thread about GT5. In this thread we can share car setups, Track times, Likes, Dislikes, General Knowledge, Driving chair setups, ect. So far I am liking the game a lot. Although it has many downfalls; the Physics are great although the graphics on the standard cars are well.. GT4ish and not very good. I do not like that I cannot change wheels on the standard cars as well. It seems going through the game early on, all the cars you win are well.. junk. I do like the special challenges and it is a good way to make some extra cash. I really like the carting and unlocking the Top Gear Test track has been loads of fun! I was able to get a S130 but have not been able to find a S30 yet. Has anyone else been able to find a S30?

Going to pick my copy up tonight at midnight... Im ready...

Oh man that Clarkson Island bit was awesome!! hahaha I will still watch the new top gear just cause it is a car show and it will have some nice ones on it. Who knows.. it could get better.

Anyone catch the premier last night? Tanner Foust, Adam Ferrara and Rutledge Wood. There seemed to be not much chemistry between them, the show seemed very scripted and they were like puppets up there. The driving sections was pretty cool though. I didn't expect much from the show so I guess I'm not too disappointed. Wonder if the will actually be able to say what they are thinking instead of cue cards. Also wonder if they will actually be able to talk bad about any cars they review. I guess its worth a watch but of course doesnt compare at all to the BBC Top Gear those 3 doddling fools are awesome together.

I put together a video from the Import Face off that was in Montgomery AL. It was a great time.. I drove up 3 hours, competed and ran the best of 11.56@122. There was some really sweet cars up there and like always the IFO guys were really cool. I will make another my Z only vid as well.. I researched compressor maps for quite a while before deciding on my turbo. This 50 trim T3/T4 stage 3 is awesome. most of the whole RPM band, I am in the large section of the island. It just matches the L28 perfectly I think. I do have the na-A cam so that helps and lets me make power all the way to around 6300-6400 RPMs.

Got back from Import face off.. I can tell you it certainly didnt Hurt performance.. Ended up running a 11.56@ 122 with a 1.8 60FT..better 60ft and that would have been a 11.3- 11.4 pass. Still got around 26-27mpg as well driving up and back. Supra's as well as other vehicles do not have the turbo, manifold and intake manifold all on the same side. Colder the air you can get to the turbo the better. I just wonder what the ratio of difference in temps are between non compressed and compressed air. example, no cold air intake- 70 deg before turbo = X after compressed.. add cold air intake- 65 deg before turbo = X amount cooler after compressed.

Well I have been out and cleaned up the Tune a little using this setup.. I would say it certainly is NOT hurting anything lol. I see some what cooler intake temps and the power comes on just as before. I am headed to the Import Face off this weekend in Montgomery AL so we shall see how it does.

I mocked this cold air intake up. The idea here of course is to force colder air into the turbo.. but it potentially will make the turbo work a little harder to suck through the extra pipe.. Usually the way I have it setup is about a 8" pipe going into the turbo with the filter and it sits right between the radiator and motor and have run the best of 11.8@120 with that kind of setup. I guess the only way to find out is to put her together and try it out.

I left my edge there. I did take the grinder to it and smooth it all out. I felt funny about leaving it like that as well but seems to be ok. It would be stronger if you rolled the edge but honestly with the flare bolted up.. it is really strong. With out the flare bolted on though.. heh pretty weak.

Problem seems to be solved. I cleaned all my grounds, made sure the ECU was plugged all the way in and I was not using my magnecor coil wire because it was a little short. I reran my magnecor coil wire and so far have not had 1 reset since.
