  3. yeah it was great meeting you! And yeah strut tower bars and rear 4 point are on the to do list for sure heh.. Thanks!
  4. The top peice is a rare Nissan factory option that they sold because of vapor lock with the 240Z's I have not ever seen another one molded in though. usually you just see them bolted on. I got this from Ivan280zt. It really does a great job keeping the temps down! Thanks for the comments guys.. It was a great time for sure!
  5. What can I say about this event.. I don't think I have ever had soo much fun in my Z. The event was fun and the roads were just a blast. Words cannot describe it. The tail of the dragon is one awesomely crazy road. 318 turns in 11 miles. the elevation changes and banking are just awesome and I found that my car can do some pretty amazing stuff, take a beating and still get 27mpg on the way home.. Round trip I put 1530 miles on it. I will be coming back to this event for sure! Here are some pics.. If you want to see all of them just click on the link. http://s801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/77s30/ZdayZ%202k10%20trip/ our "cabin" The view In mid turn @ the dragon here is a quick drive by vid I put together. This was on the section from the dam headed up to Deals Gap. Such a fun Road!
  6. Ok Done with my flares.. First off Austin is right.. this is not for the faint at heart lol. It did take me around 12-13 total hours and the rears are not fun. but the finished product looks SOOO GOOOD!!! Before.. ZG flares the moch up.. Time to start cutting And done!
  7. Wow Fric that looks absolutely amazing! My first Z was a 280ZX NA the same color and I sure would not mind having a 280ZX as a daily driver again. Looks perfect with the wheels!
  8. I noticed in the vid the wide band at idle was like 10.8-11.0 and you stated that it is lean. That is actually super rich. You should shoot for a idle AFR around 14.7.
  9. Ok, I just about have the rear flares done.
  10. Where are you guys getting tuner studio from? DIY autotune? Is it easier to install and get working then megatune?
  11. LOl I wont lie,, it is scary but man I dont want a stock bodied S30. If I wanted a all original Z, I would have a bone stock car and not touch it. I really like the direction I am headed with the Z and cannot wait to get her back on the road! I am going for a simi aggresive subtle old school look. It will all come together when I get the flares on as well as my new hood and eventually new paint.
  12. Ok another update.. The fronts are just about done. Welting is cut and installed as well as my front bumper. All I need to do now is take them back off and paint them but I will wait till I am done with the back and paint all at one time.
  13. Heh Here is a 8 Year old kid Kalle Rovanpera Rally driving..  heh I think we just might see the youngest WRC driver here folx .. lol
  14. ZG flare update!! I made some progress on ZG flare install. 2 down 2 to go!
  15. I got the ZG flares from Classic Datsun. The quality and fitment seems really good!
  16. Uh oh.. blue tape over the fenders... what could it be?? YES.. ZG flares are here! WOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!
  17. Heh, yeah when Warren told me I was like.. WOW!.. I have never seen a turbo do this before..I hope they replace it for you Warren but heh.. we all know what kind of chance that is..
  18. The Pipe is all stainless steel. I cannot remember the gauge. I want to say .60. here are the pics of it all finished up. I have been running it for quite some time now with great success! I have the gate vented open right now but in the near future I will be routing it back in.
  19. Joel, do you have pics of what you did for this? Thanks! Gabe
  20. Here is a quick write up someone did of Tomimatsu-san. He was a engeneer for OS Giken since 94. Very very cool stuff.. http://speedhunters.com/archive/2010/04/13/car-feature-gt-gt-office-tomitaku-s30.aspx
  21. It is an 87 for sure. The tails are the long bar type not the larger box type the 86 and older have. You are right about the wheels. I plan on either grabbing a set of 87-89 NA wheels or a set of the Enkie 16x7 meshies but I would have to buy new tires for thoes.
