  2. I have a 93 vert and will be my daily driver as soon as the 5psd swap gets done. I plan on keeping it simi stock as far as engine goes.. maybe eventually header, full exhaust or KA-T at like 6-8 psi. It only has 114K miles on it and is in great shape. For sure will be doing suspension and some wheels. Then just rock out and have a nice vert to cruise around in with my wife and little girl on sunny days..
  3. Yeah, I am running MS1 and I think I have a GM CHT sensor. does that stand for Coolant head temp? Oh and thanks!!
  4. Do you possibly have a step by step on how to reload the firmware and software? I have never done this and was like over 3 years ago since I first installed megasquirt.
  5. Yeah I am running the Supra 440CC injectors.. although I am running MS1 v3.. However.. A buddy of mine has a set of subaru 565 high Z injectors I am thinking about trying. I just need to see if they are the same physical size as the supra ones.(make sure they fit in the rail and intake manifold).. If I do end up switching to these high Z injectors.. do I just turn off PWM in my megatune and retune the car?
  6. Yeah, I have been doing a LOT of reading on the reset problems.. Also found out when you have a reset.. the ECU takes the barometric pressure reading right then and there. SOo if I was in boost when a reset happend.. it would take it that what ever positive boost I was in at the time was 14.7 or atmospheric. and there for lean my whole map out.. I plan on reloading the firmware, do a bit of logging, and eventually I would like to get that 4 bar dual port map sensor. the Mapdaddy..
  7. I tried to search and apparently if you search for anything 3 letters or less it will not allow it. "One or all of your search keywords were below 3 characters or you searched for words which are not allowed," so cannot search if you have GM, or MAP in your fields?
  8. Long story short, I drove the car a last saturday night about 100 miles each way to the drag strip. on the way home.. I kicked it in third gear and it started leaning out and I got out of it. Wideband went dead lean and I could barely putter a long the interstate. I had a friend drive and I cracked the laptop open and added tons of fuel. This got us home. the next morning I loaded my original map and all seemed fine.. Accept under light load it is lean.. like in the 16s. I have tested the FPR, changed the fuel filter.. the pump is a walbro 255 external about a 3 years old. Injectors are Mk3 supra 440CCs.. My first thought was the pump is dieing? but what about the map sensor acting up? I have got a couple of resets and the dead lean issue happened again right after one of the resets. But I turned the car off.. let it sit for a bit and then cranked it back up.. ran fine again accept for the lean issue under light cruise.   9. spoke too soon.. now just intermittently running lean.. under really light load.. it leans out... harder accel it rich-ens up but still kind of lean..
  10. Swapped out the fuel filter for a Z32 turbo unit.. Looks like it solved the issue.. WOT now is at 10.2-10.5 lol.. Time for some tuning...
  11. I have it mounted in stock location. I have run it down below E a few times though.. ALso I noted in the last month or 2 when I crank the car.. it sputters and runs like on 5 cly until I give it a blip of the throttle and then it clears up.. It sounds like time for a new pump.
  12. Went to the track Saturday night.. it was about 1.5 hours away. On my way home I ran though third gear but noticed it started leaning out. and then all of a sudden while driving my Wideband was leaning out dead lean.. I pulled over.. engine was idling ok.. Fuel pressure looked normal.. I had a friend drive while I cracked open the laptop and had to add tons of fuel so we could get home. Sunday I loaded my original map back in and she is running fine but still kinda lean and I do not want to try to boost it. I have a walbro 255 pump,(about 3 years old) 440CC 7mgte injectors with Mega-squirt and spark. First thing I will be replacing is the fuel filter but it is only about 4 months old. Has anyone had a pump die on them in this way? or could maybe I have some clogged injectors?
  13. The rods and crank are forged from the factory and can take some abuse. If the rods are in good shape you should be fine to use them.. Unless you just want to use the ones you bought.. what kind of rods did you end up buying?
  14. GT5 is going to be simulation and Game. Looks awesome and will include the Top gear test track! Damage will occur on several of the cars. The driving dynamics are supposed to be fantastic. I made this whole setup just for GT5! heh..
  15. Here is my setup. 2.5" aluminum piping, I made the cold side as short as possible to avoid any heat soaking before going into the TB. I get really no "lag" at all with this setup boost comes on fast and lineal. I think the IC is 12x24x3. This pic shows my IC size and how my old piping was ran. I see much better AIT with having the piping the other way.
  16. I have a T3/to4w turbo with front mount IC. My IAT sensor is right behind the TB. My intake is in front of the turbo and pointed down. With ambient temps of 90 deg I see between 95-115 deg rowing through the gears. I see about 92-95 deg cruising. I would really like to move the intake out in front and get it out of the engine bay. I bet this would make a difference. and WOW.. 220 DEG!!! now thats some HOT AIR!!!
  17. That is interesting as I have my setup like this. I see boost come on fast and strong. and gets back into full boost really fast after a shift. But I do get about 1-2 psi of creep.. hmm I might hook it up the other way to see if I get the same results.

  20. With my T3/To4E turbo I managed to make 385 rwhp and 390 lbs of Tq @ 20psi on pump gas. My turbo specs are as follows. Compressor side is a To4E with a 50 trim wheel. Exhaust side is a T3- .63 housing with a stage 3 wheel. I ported the exhaust housing to match the gasket as the opening was much smaller. Other things that have been done to help achieve this is ported the stock Exhaust manifold, Non turbo "A" cam, port matched head 3" exhaust and a conservative tune. It was good enough to net 11.8@120mph in the 1/4 with a crappy 1.8 60ft. So far I LOVE the 50 trim turbo.. I get full 20psi at around 32-3400rpms and it comes on nice and strong, but is not uncontrollable. Good luck with your build and yeah 350rwhp in a 2400lb car will ROCK OUT!.

  24. here is what austin said from his very first post. he also sells the hardware kit and includes everything. Welting, bolts, nuts for the front, washers and nutserts for the rears. Materials: - 24 -Allen button head bolts (I used stainless 1/4") - 24 -AN SS washers - 12 - 1/4" Nut inserts - 12 - SS 1/4" nuts washers and lock washers - Rubber welting - Stain black spray paint - Seam sealer and undercoating - 3M BLUE painters tape Quick google search for the Allen button head bolts and these look exactly like the ones I got form autsin. I hope this info helped ya out..
