With that same set up accept the FMU.. I ran a 13.8 @100mph in my 77. As long as you get a decent 60ft I would think you can do it. Good luck.

I just .. I mean Just had this same exact problem in my 77 with a 82 turbo motor. I went through and replaced dizzy cap, spark plugs, rotor, checked output of spark.. It was just getting way too much fuel. So I went to a buddies place and grabbed some stuff from his 280zxT parts car.. Igniter, AFM, and ECU.. I switched the igniter out.. still the same problem. I switched the ECU.. BAM fired right up.. So I am thinking something in the ECU either went bad or worked its way loose. I also cleaned all of the contacts to the ECU , TPS , AFM before replacing anything.. So. Might want to try a used Turbo ECU from somewhere.. I sure hope this helps..Good luck.

Man thoes 60fts are killing you.. I ran a 13.8 @100mph with 10psi of boost on stock L28ET 2.5 exhaust cold air and 60mm TB.. the MPH you have looks like you should be mid 14s or so. Might want to stick it on a dyno to see if you are not running too rich with thoes injectors..

ok guys.. I now have power again and cable.. We REALLY REALLY got lucky here in Mobile AL. The eye jogged east and landed over Gulf shores AL.. (my home town) I have seen video of fly overs of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach.. OMG.. It is soo messed up.. My house made it fine . I have a few shingles gone and my next door neighbor has a couple of trees down. His gate looks like someone drover though it.. All in all.. we are ok here.. I really feel for my home town witch looks more like a ruins. I also really feel for Pensacola. They got hit really hard. Please keep all of us in your hearts as well as all of the FL people out there.

Doug, yeah I am running 15's i am sure that is a large help. Also I have a OEM turbo flywheel and clutch. I didnt even think if you had a CF clutch.. That would make it way hard to slip the clutch for sure.. At anyrate. great times man and good on ya for showing the DSMs what old school is all about..

yeah thoes 60 fts are not good. have you tried slipping the clutch out at around 2-2500 ? slip the clutch and use 3/4 throttle on launch and then after the launch floor it.. I was getting consistant 2.0 60fts wtih a 3.54 open diff and simi bald street tire. Now I have a 3.70 lsd and sticker tires.. we will see if that gets me a 1.9 or so.. sure hope so. Very nice times though.. I sm sure 11's are in your future if you get a good 60ft..

I would try to put a spare AFM in line if you can.. Also clean all contacts under the engine as well as at the ecu. You might have a boost leak somewhere as well.

I run NGK's I hear they are the best for our cars..

the part that puzzles me is you say you have a t4/t3? so you have larger T4 exhaust side of the turbo and stock T3 compressor side of the turbo. Wouldnt this just create more lag and not really help out in more boost or HP in any way.. Just confused on that part.. Also Scottie is correct about the Fuel pressure.. That is playing with fire.. although.. it is your Z and toy.. Good luck with it..
