  1. Congrats on getting the motor in...... Were you able to install with headers on as I suggested???? My shift pin came with the car I bought..... It seems to be a stock unit that was cut down and welded I guess to mimic a short throw..... I'm 6-1 so my arm length is just right were I need it to row the gears and it doesn't bind with stock Z boot or center consul.
  2. CX LT's into Y-pipe with custom 3 inch single into magnaflow sounds like this..... 002.MOV
  3. ANOTHER CLIP OF THE VIDEO.... FIGURED OUT HOW TO CLIP OUT SECTIONS OF VIDEO THAT THE SITE ALLOWS ME TO POST. NOT REDLINE OR EVEN FULL THROTTLE BUT A LITTLE MORE JUICE FOR SURE. 002.MOV
  4. Thanks... Thunderhill is my home track. Once the car is sorted better and proven safe, I'll get some video there as well......... Too bad I'll only be able to post 10 seconds of it LOL
  5. Well this is a pretty lame cut of a decent video but it's all the site would allow me to download.... 005.MOV

  10. I checked into the Feal's..... I could not source an S30 product on their site. What have you found in the Feal product line?
  11. Tilton.... the one recommended from the HydridZ family. I have it at home but not by recall.... try a search on the site.. I found it easy enough the first time.
  12. Looking great.... I would give my left arm for a rotisserie, my neck still hurts running all my lines, etc on my back under jack stands. Great work.
  13. So.... In your experience, would a coilover like the one offered by Sakura (inverted by stance) Be a better option? There has been a recent flood of lower cost coilovers for the s30-240Z..... Your real world use and write up of the Megan's is very helpful, although I had heard from others that the Megan's were sub-standard. Thanks for the write up and feedback. Jim
  14. I had some fun fixing my door panels with fiberglass then had them recovered. Turned out great and match my seats to boot
  15. ok... on the "cx racing" side, the motor mount bolts are in the second hole from the end...... When I did my install, I measured numerous times and intalled once. I suggest doing the same as 40+ year old cars can be a bit inconsistent. Side note, you can do the install with the passenger header on if you mount the whole motor mount assembly on both sides loosely then tighten it all down once once it all lines up. Helps to have some buddies involved too... Good luck. Jim
  16. Jayem... I can't tell from the shot, sorry. My mounts did just clear my alternator though without any modification. "second hole from the back" referenced from the back of the motor toward the firewall. hope that helps. Miata. I used a 3 core aluminum champion radiator for a 240Z..... The hoses had to be cut but fit like factory all in all. very happy. BTW I didn't splice the hose for the steam vent, I tapped the water pump..
  17. Upper hose gates 22478 lower gates 22625. Mounts are second hole from the back. Jim
  18. cx uses the low mount alternator with ease... Check my build log.
  19. I painted mine black and it blends in with the tranny tunnel.. here is a shot of the drivers side.
