  1. Congrats. That's a big hurdle and great acomplishment.
  2. Its aluminum sheet that goes under the airdam back under the core support and remains flat.... the turnbuckles gave the flexible air dam extra support so it won't flex under air pressure. It's really solid and works as well as I hoped.
  3. I bought my FG spoiler from BRE..... I opted for the slightly larger version and I'm very happy with it.
  4. Temps have been in the 105 area here in far NorCal The 3 row champion radiator with the re-used Camaro fans have kept my car cool. Adding the aluminum piece to the airdam seems to be working just a bit better to boot.
  5. It's not that hard to shift into reverse..... Just my .02.
  6. Looks great... Just keep plugging away at it and you'll be on the road in no time. I keep adding bits and pieces along the way, not sure if ill ever get to a real paint job as I'm waiting on that until the car is done lol. You have done some nice work!
  7. Great install, very clean. post some videos from the track soon.
  8. Increase your budget for an LS swap.....But worth it IMO.
  9. Added a sheet of aluminum to the airdam to box in. Hope to create a little more down force and direct air into the radiator
  10. Time for an update.... Brakes and new MC done. Car stops on a dime now..... Best upgrade I've made in a very long time. Picked up some louvered inspection panels (cuz I think they look trick) and got them primed out to match the car as of now. I used Adele clamps to keep the front brake line from fouling against the inside tire..... Just drilled a hole through the old hanger and bolted it up. Made for a clean install. Ill say it again, these brakes will allow me to drive at the limit now.. Can't believe how quick my car stops now Jim
  11. I was worried/critical of CXR for the same origin of manufacturing reasons..... I pulled the trigger on the LS swap kit and I've been very happy with I got overall. I only posted this to see if anyone out there has tried it out or seen it person. I'm always looking for good and new products available for the 240 Z at a fair price. My experience has been typically "you get which you pay for". It looks really close or the same (maybe a cheap copy) of what is out there now other than TTT and AZC both of which build high-quality products. Here is a side by side of SMM and CXR. I bought my 4 corner Wilwood from SMM and the product great...... I bought my LS swap Kit including LT headers and product is great..... I may contact CXR and try to get some more info for HBZ family.
  12. Is that your fuel pump mafia? I'm running the Walbaro and its hates pulling fuel over pushing.... not sure what your set up is but you may want to get that closer to your fuel tank. I went through 2 pumps (burned up) before I got it right with fuel flow (gravity) and location.
  13. Look what CXR is now putting out..... anybody see this stuff in person yet. The price is right!
  14. I believe most guys are using rivenuts not rivets. My .02
  15. I tried the aluminum rivenuts and they sucked! Go with the steel. I have the welting but not on yet. Purchased the welting from a local auto-upholesrty store.
  16. looks good, time to start cutting. I had to cut out some of my airdam for tire clearence.... Good luck and good work. Jim
  17. Thats awsome..... congrats on the progress. Post some pics soon. Jim
  18. You're welcome Shawn. Good luck with your build. Wilwood brakes mostly on...... The rears were a perfect fit, I needed to shim the fronts a little. Tweaked a break line getting inpatient on the new MC but got it straightened out and working well. Just need to fill up the reservoirs and bleed. Silvermines customer service ifor support s top notch, I recomend them highly. Post some pics soon. Jim
  19. Very cool, post some pics if you have them Cheesy.... Thanks, Jim
