  1. This is why i listed you in my "thank you hybridz" thread. Ok, with that being said, if i wanted a diff with say a 4.11 so i could do burnouts and slide around and yadda yadda, one to change out when im gonna be a goofball, this would be a not so bad idea? because the 3.54 is what on the car during regular driving.
  2. " hemi.. H-E-M-I.. can you say hemi..."
  3. but iw as under the impression that welding the diff would cause the inside tire to drag making it almost impossible to turn ilke a drag car would be?
  4. I see a lot of race cars with welded diffs, i thought that was only a good idea for drag cars, but i have seen some RR cars with welded diffs recently, seems to me that was a real bad thing because one wheel would be moving at a different speed than the other in a turn? so why would someone be doing this? wouldnt a good ole r20o lsd work much better?
  5. the 13b? a trash can? did it already blow up? i heard that can happen to those by just looking at them.
  6. oh i should've known, hes a cool guy, Nero kinda freaks me out though, ive met both of them a number a times at supra meets. Nero gave a freind of mine his trophy at texas last year. hahah. I heard about that too, i cant believe i didnt put 2 and 2 together, the car and that fact that your from there. Mark seems like a real quiet guy... well, compared to the rest of that group anyway, but i guess thats how anyone would look near nero right?
  7. ya man, i might have to run to toyota and pick up some replacement prius badges..... Would you be mad?
  8. a-squeeze me? baking powder? what car is this?
  9. Do you see the car i drive.. i fly buddy. geeze, some people, seriously..
  10. u know, the car in the first picture was fairly easy to build, it took me and 4 friends a few days to put together, im racing a 4th gen supra with a to4r on it this weekend, he makes a little more power than me, but hopefully the weight advantage will keep on top. Besides, i love having a convertible, especially now when its getting warm outside, that car sucks to have out in the rain.
  11. actually its the 2nd gen your talking about, 82.5-85.5 is the year run, i dont think it would look that good, i drive an 84 daily right now, ive put them side by side to get an idea.. doesnt look like it will look good at all.
  12. Why twin turbo an na 2jz, why not a big single?
  13. Z lovin' Obligatory phone and turbo shot
  14. I did some wind tunnel work on the aerodynamic improvements i plan on making to the Z, made a huge difference!!!
  15. I replied to you in the other thread u posted in, if you have any questions about that motor shoot me an e-mail or im me, im majik16106 on aim as well. I think im the only person on this board aside from Phil who has personal experience with the 1jz. There's 3 trannies you can use, i had this exact conversation with mike (on3go) like 2 days ago when he was asking me about the 1jz motors. Anyway shoot me a line anytime. Paul
  16. 1jzgte for 700, forget it. buy a whole front clip, no reason it should cost less that 2500, your probably looking close to 3k. And the 5 speed isnt rare. You want a jza70 front clip, its the easiest way to do the swap. if you dont buy the whole clip, your going to be in a big mess.
  17. im not 21 till oct, and i bought and paid for all of the following. 1994 Probe Gt- turbocharged with a t3/t4 1972 Challenger, originally a 318 4speed, a 440 4 speed when sold 1990 Supra turbo- 1jzgte swap 1986 camry- beater 1990 Rx7 - na, now a good friend drives it 1994 rx7- was going to be an ls1 car, was wrecked, never had the time. Currently 1974 Datsun 260z 1984 toyota supra 1964 Triumph Tr4a
  18. you could always test them.. Ask for parts for an 83 corvette since there wasnt one. Ask for a water pump for an early model volkwagen beetle.. cuz obviously it didnt have one.
  19. its funny, all this XX vs some auto part store counter guy, i work with idiots everyday, whenever someone comes in with either a modded car or knows EXACTLY what they want, they are like a dear in headlights. Most people just dont know how to use the system. However, it should be noted, for every guy who goes in who knows better than the counter person, there is a counter person who knows better than the customer, i get a lot of people who think they know what they are doing with modded cars and are completely lost but wont let me help them, always ends up in a return and apology to me. If any of you ever have trouble with NAPA, give me an e-mail about what you want and ill get the part number so you can go in and just ask for it. Or another store should be able to cross it.
  20. Paul Vs. Napa Customer -customer enters holding a small fraction of a strut casing, like a 2inch by 6 inch piece, i could barely tell what it was, looks like it has been sitting for 30 some odd years in dog crap, no visible marking or numbers- "hey, can i help you" " yah i need this.." " the whole strut you mean?" " yes" "whats it off of?" "a 60's truck" "what kind of truck" "well its all custom" "ok, well i need to know something about it, we sell OEM aftermarket replacement, so you would have to tell me what the struts are off of for me to find it" " a 60's truck" " right, but a ford, chevy, dodge? Plus if its custom it could have corvette or mustang struts, i don't know what the builder used..." " you cant look at this and tell" " sir, thats a small fraction of it, it has nothing written on it, I cant tell anything" " well great, i didnt know Napa hired idiots, ill just have to find a real autoparts store..." " ok.. bye"
  21. how about BANGDED, or tymbomb..
