I have long thought about some wierd mopar hybrid (albeit mine was not for a Z car) I had a 72 challenger with 440 andthe ole pistol grip 4 speed. (originally a small block 318 car) i LOVED it, but i got rid of it, but i had really wanted to plant a 727TF behind it and go draggin. I think I may have to do something like that some day when I have a mutual fund.

Had never seen or heard of it (only 3 made, no wonder) my eyes about popped out of my head, i didnt what to think when i saw it on tv. I thought maybe it was some fake special thing ford did as a one off or something from the glimpse i got, maybe a 5.0 z back in the day just for engineering sake, but then i looked online, and i learned.. i was dreaming...

ok, so when i first tested the Z, we ran almost no boost, used the stock fuel pump (just to make sure the car could drive), SOOOO, now that im upping the power and its going into its final stages of driveline completion, i need to find the right pump, i had asked about this once but i cant find it. So its a 7m motor, 550cc injectors. I have an afpr, so what pump are you guys using? im using the stock fuel tank (originally Id figure Id use a walboro supra pump, being i have a supra motor, buts its inline and the Z is external.. so.. what all are you guys doing?

Hate to say it, but i think the car looks better now.. haha. I love the technical aspects of that car, but i hate the styling. I didnt like the f50 at all either, however, the f40 might be my favorite car of all time, go figure. Anyway, if i had one it would probably be a matter of time before it looked like that, i know a couple twisty mountain passes around here that id love to do a f40/50/enzo test drive on.

the only picture ive been able to find is the picture of the turbo'd na 2jz, im sure someone on this board might have it though, one of my friends almost bought the car... From what I remember. it wasnt very clean, wires just hanging out, plus i dont remember the actual car being in very good shape. oh well.

right, well thats how they were designed. If you want a big power drag car, auto is the way to go. It can work on open road courses, a good friend of mine Larry Anderson runs a 1.39 at road atlanta in his 97 supra turbo, and its a slush box. he'd probably be faster with a manual but i think an auto x is gonna be way more difficult in a powerful auto Z. im sure it would be fun, but dont expect a podium. The gn motor is a bad mamajama. but to me it would be perfect for drag and open highway type racing.

Hey, i hate to burst some bubbles, but its been done, twice that I have pictures of, some guy in tennesee sold a yellow 240z with a 2jz and six speed about a year or two ago on ebay, and some dude in either europe or australia did it too, i have it on a video here at home. Ill try to find pics, I would say this is the first time its been done publically, so that a large mass can learn from it. Im sure that sounded a lot meaner than i meant for it to be, but someone posted that it hasnt been done, just letting you know it has.

You know there is no such thing? No 3.8 turbo was ever mated to a manual, i hope it has been done, for a long time i looked into seeing if it could be put to a t56, but all KINDS of custom work would need be made.. unless like i said.. its been done and now i sound like an idiot, but no turbo trans am or gn or regal t-type came with a manual trans.

Ive owned and modified both, i currently have a 7m car, going to become a 1jz car, there is a lot to look out for to make sure the 1jz works correctly, feel free to e-mail, its been discussed on this forum a few times.
