  1. Sounds like a nice pile of parts. I always upload my files directly into the post. Makes viewing them easier for other folks, since they don't have to follow a link. I upload directly from Google drive.
  2. Those look great in the pods. Did you get the smaller gauges too?
  3. I plan to order the Rota RKR wheels. For some reason I can't explain, I don't like 5 spoke wheels on the z cars. I think I associate 5 spoke wheels with '70s muscle cars. And there are some really great looking z's with 5 spoke.
  4. Awesome. That'd be great to read. What tires did you get? I know different brands vary width and tire section. Thanks,
  5. No discovery yet. Decided to hold off on wheel purchase until I return from vacation, in a couple more weeks. But based on the link that Bludestiny sent, I think I'll be ordering 275/45 all around, on 17x9.5 wheels with -20 offset. Even, so it'll be a bit before I have the car on the ground with a motor in it. But I need to have something to even roll the car around on, so I have to make an expensive commitment. The only wheels I have now are 4 lug.
  6. I recall measuring my Odyssey rotor and there were like 11 13/16. I have since returned them. Arif, how did you enlarge the center hole? Keep in mind that these rotors were originally defined to go in front of the hub, over the lug studs. I went 5 lug, and the bolt pattern on the back of my TTT 5 lug hubs is 103mm. This would still have been drillable. Instead of having custom rotors, how about custom rotor adaptors? Then you could use off the shelf wilwood rotors and not have to customize your wear parts. Rotor adaptors might be cheaper than entire rotors.
  7. Pillar, that's a good idea. I'll check it out. Llave, I was going to make my own caliper brackets but Arif has gotten a hold of some and is looking into having more made. Look here: http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/124495-brackets-for-z32-brakes-on-a-s30/ Also, I had contacted RHDJapan about sourcing these in Japan and this is what they drummed up. http://www.rhdjapan.com/rubber-soul-r32-type-m-caliper-fitment-kit-s30-fairlady.html I thought it a little on the expensive side but it's always worth what someone is willing to pay right.
  8. Still haven't found anybody who will touch this yet. But I suppose this would be an option, at least for the lug pattern. http://www.rottenleonard.com/Menu.html
  9. Well, I'm certainly interested, but couldn't commit until I can find someone who would be able to do the modifications to the Honda rotors. Keep us posted on what you find. Thanks,
  10. Same as above. Interested, but also want to hear what rotors these would work with.
  11. Which browser are you using? I can't copy and paste anything using MS Exploder, I have to use Chrome.
  12. And some progress over the last week or so, and some lack thereof as well. Finished up my steering rack. I bought a used one off a member here for cheap, and it felt pretty tight. So I cleaned it, repainted it, got some new tie rod ends and boots, new poly bushings, new grease and installed. Finished up the rear brake lines. Seems the threads were messed up on the original fittings. I couldn't get them to thread into the new adaptors. Not sure if it was the threads being bad, or that the original fittings were threaded all the way down to the end and the adapter fittings looked like they wouldn't allow that. So, I decided to just make new lines with new fittings. I got enough line and fittings to redo everything, which is my plan. I was going to need to rework the front lines anyway to work with the new Wilwood master cylinder and proportioning valve/splitter. Soooo, that'll be fun. And I finally bought and received the rotors for the front brakes I was going to try do. I really want to use the Z32 calipers I rebuilt. I was going to use Honda Odyssey rotors. They would need to have the center hole enlarged, and the pattern redrilled. After calling many machine shops in my area, nobody will take on this job. So, I'm rethinking the rotor choice. Now looking at Wilwood rotors and rotor adapters. Looks like the 5 lug TTT hubs I picked up have the same rotor bolt pattern as the Wilwood adapters. This looks like a pretty promising solution, and it'll be nice to have rotors that are relatively off the shelf.
  13. Thanks for the ideas on the filler. I do have the original Camaro filler neck, it came with the tank. But I have body rot around the filler area and have thus far struck out thus far on finding that body cut. I have taken that inner part off, and it could be saved if I had to, but the body has holes in it, at the curve and I don't think I can replicate it. If I can't find that body area in decent shape, I may use one of the these Hagan fuel doors. they have them in different shapes too, might be kinda fun to go with a tear drop shape, since the rectangular wouldn't match anyway. But I'm still holding out hope to find someone parting out a 240z with that area not totally rusted to crap. I've got a long ways to go before I'll be seriously into the body work. If anybody has used or seen one of the Hagan fuel filler assemblies, I'd sure like to hear about it. The hinge looks like a weak link. I've also thought about going to the junkyard with a cordless grinder and cutting out a rectangular filler on one of many cars out there with similar sized doors. For about a month I was driving around looking at every cars gas doors thinking I could just cut that one off, or maybe that one...
  14. I'm trying to emulate the Z32 swap that GSXTCY was offering, but seems to have moved on. The rotors are from an '07 Honda Oddysey and need the center bore enlarged and the mounting pattern redrilled. I've called about 20 machine shops, from automotive machine shops to custom CNC fabrication shops. The automotive machine shops say they aren't set up for this kind of thing, and the fabrication shops say they won't work on auto parts, they don't want the liability. Any suggestions of where to turn next?
  15. Wish the CX long tubes would work with the JCI mounts, but I think I've read that people say they won't. Doesn't look likely from your pictures but maybe... Thoese don't look like the JCI headers. JCI headers are 1 5/8" and look quite different than those. Maybe those are the JTR headers? Here is a pic of the JCI headers I got. I didnt buy these from JCI, I bought them from a HybridZ member, but was told they were JCI.
  16. I can't imagine doing so much of what I've done while on my back under the car. Other big advantage is the car takes up much less room in my tiny garage when on its side. Danks And still having a lot of fun. Decided to replace all of the brake lines, and even enjoying that.
  17. For the rear end, you might consider fabbing up an 8.8 Ford IRS mount set up. Another member made a limited run and it was very popular.
  18. Good reading. You are jamming along with your build, looking good. If you are still looking for good flares, I just received the Marugen Shoukai standard ZG fiberglass flares from Japan and they fit perfect on my 240z. I've never tried any of the other brands but was totally surprised by how well these sit on the stock fender. The dollar is strong now, and these were only $237 shipped to California, and took just 2 weeks to get. Ordered from RHDJapan, and they sent me lots of communications along the way.
  19. Yes, those are AZC coilovers. For the rear, TTT extended the AZC threaded tube and welded the tabs on. They did it for no charge, even threw in the powdercoating. Ofcourse, I was buying everything else needed for the R230 swap
  20. Thanks so much for the responses. I guess I'm going to go ahead and get myself in more trouble and cut off the flares, install new flares and re-flare the ends. Ordered a bunch of stuff from Redhill.
  21. Yes, yet another "will this fit my" car thread. I've searched, searched some more, tore some hair out, searched some more, read everything I can find, looked at every car in the show your wheels thread (all 103 pages), and answered questions from my wife about why I'm spending so much time on the internet. Post #1914 is running these same size wheels with a slightly narrower tire. I don't know what suspension mods he may have done to make them fit. I've got 2.5" coilovers, TTT LCA's front and back, 5 lug hubs and standard depth ZG flares. I read that people like to switch to 5 lug because there are more wheel choices. Maybe I'm looking in all the wrong places, but I'm not seeing that great of a selection of wheels with the proper offset. I really like the look of the RKR, and they offer them in 5 lug but only in 9.5"-20 offset or 8.5"-0 offset. Like most people, I want the widest tire reasonable, and I'd prefer to avoid staggered. Will these fit with difficulty or ease? If with ease, am I leaving a bunch of potential on the table? I guess I'd also ask if you have a favorite place to search for wheels? I found a post by John Coffey stating with coilovers you can expect to fit a 4.5" backspace. I wasn't able to find out what one can expect in front spacing w/ ZG flares. Thanks, Joe
  22. That's what I thought. Any idea why it won't properly thread into a brand new Fragola female inverted flare adapter fitting? Nut threads in, then bottoms out before the tubing is tight. I installed a 10mmx1 union in place of the OEM proportioning valve. It was also hard to thread in. Thanks,
  23. Surely someone knows this offhand. I thought I had it, but having a hard time getting the right fittings. I thought it was 10mm x 1.0 flare fittings. But maybe I'm wrong and they are 10mmx1.25? Anybody know for sure? For a 240z. And they are just double flares, not bubble flares, is that correct?
