  1. you getting power at the relay? Power at the window? Break out the multimeter and get working! I find a quick test for power at the right location will shed lots of light on the problem. Congrats on the car btw. Get acquainted with this site, the search, and the search function for this site.
  2. Send off or I think HP Tuner would be able to disable. Pretty sure there are some guys that don't pretty cheap for swaps.
  3. I know on a Grand Am, similar thing happened and it was indeed the VATS. Had to do a 10 min stint with the key in the on position to reset the system, and BAM, car started. Worth a try. I would do 15 minutes since I am sure you don't have a light that will go off. Good luck!
  4. You know, I was thinking, " no way it will cost that", but then I added in my head what I have spent so far and it all makes sense now. I am only beginning my journey and I am well into the four digit range.... sad days.
  5. I have used the 3M interior adhesive on my Z32 with success. It is not an instant grab like the contact glue, it gives you some wiggle room to move things how they need to be. Not a huge window of time, but enough. It is a spray on glue.
  6. That sucks man. People just suck in general. Someday, I would love to catch someone keying my car so I can then key their face. Just seems right.
  7. Haha, yeah they are little. My wife's first comment when she saw the car was "do real people fit in there?". Good luck with the tranny!
  8. I go through this every winter with my boat. By fall, the season is winding down, and I think about selling her. I wax her up, put her away till spring and resist that urge. Come spring, I am ready to rock again, waste a ton of fuel and get sunburnt. Find a winter hobby, take her off the road, and your love will be rekindled come springtime. If you sell it, you will regret it later. I miss my Z32 every day.
  9. 2.41 here in Central Texas. Too bad my z is on jack stands
  10. I don't know the pain of storing the z for the winter yet, but I do have to winterize my boat tomorrow. Thank goodness Texas has a long boating/Z season.
  11. Headers on the way, please delete.
  12. Looking forward to seeing what those things can do. Mercury Racing is using that technology on its 1350 and 1650s. Those are the horsepower ratings at the prop of course those are huge block Chevy engines lol. I have a Mercury Racing 500 Efi in my boat and love love love the reliability of their products. Anxious to see more on these!
  13. Looking for a set of JTR or JCI headers for an S30 LS swap. Have cash on hand. Building custom mounts, so either one will work. Thanks a lot gents. Jay Gadsby
  14. Depends on the rig. I have a rig that requires 220v and one that uses 110v. The 220v setup requires a 50 amp circuit where as the 110 only requires 30. A lot of the larger power tools will require a 220 drop. A 50 amp circuit should hold anything that wI'll fit into a home work shop. Best bet, call a local electrician for the real nitty gritty.
  15. For the base fill I used the normal autozone bondo bucket. Didn't care for it, but it got the job done. All was applied over the epoxy base primer. Scuffed with 180 prior to application. The stuff I used for the final touches was ever coat easy sand found here: http://www.evercoat.com/productDetail.aspx?pID=4 They have a very extensive line, and any jobber can usually point you to the exact product you will need. I read more about painting than i ever thought i would before doing any part. Auto body101.Com had a lot of good info about fillers and primers.
  16. X2 on the Ever coat product line. I used their poly glaze and it works nice, sands nice and had no issue with bondo bleed through.
  17. That is how I have done it. Epoxy binds best to a metal substrate, and bondo will adhere to epoxy, just needs to be scuffed. I am no pro, but did lots of reading before I did my 240sx in my garage (still cleaning red over spray).
  18. I may have to call that guy lol. Everyone around my area seems to be reading LS1Tech and other V8 forums. Everyone wants a million dollars for anything LS.
  19. I have been fighting the urge to do the "while I am heres" on my 5.3. I think I may have kicked it for now. Gonna enjoy the stock power on the engine first, then the seat of the pants dyno will love it when i do end up camming it.
  20. Sounds like something silly electrical wise. Not positive on ls motors, but a fudged up maf would cause pretty much all of that. Check your connections, read your codes. OBD can be your friend.
  21. I do as well, my wife thinks I am bat crap crazy because I get Sooo excited. It's the small things in life
  22. Killing me... can't even share a smile without being told to search lol.
  23. So far, started Criminal Minds on Netflix, opening episode.... Orange Z! Score. Opening episode of Scorpion, Brown Z! Always puts a smile on my face to see a Z on TV. That is all, had to share.
  24. Score one for the orange Zs! I like the new wheels.
